Honestly, I thought Adam Levine's reaction was funny. I know some people might find it rude, but I kind of saw it as "You just touched me with your cooties, ewww" in a jokey way.
Also, besides the obvious where you shouldn't go on stage if you're not invited up there, we're still in a pandemic. Just because they're doing shows doesn't mean any performer is comfortable with close interactions just yet. I'm sure it made him worry about his other band members and his family.
