    Those metal reflectors pop out, you can r&r the bulbs (and tighten the socket if you need too) from the front.

      Ya, I tried that. They didn't want to come out for me so I had to remove them and the sockets they were in.

    Can you do a demo on how to change the dimming sensor? I'm fixing up my grandpa 84 corvette. I just put brand new bulbs, but now they barely light up.

      You have either a grounding short or a lack of grounding in the system. Check your grounds throw wiring diagram. You can get one probably off Corvette forums. I'm not home right now or I'd snap a picture of it for you and send it to you. I ran into the same problem on the interior. There is also the courtesies sensor module behind the information panel that also could be going bad on you.

      I believe the courtesy sensor modules behind the information panel, it could also be to the left of the heater core box. I forget where that sensor module is exactly

      I'm sorry, it's very early for me. The dimming sensor on the control board of the digital dash? Or the dimming knob on the light switch?

    Hey Don I screwed up, I was finishing up the cowl and the windshield wiper snapped down and broke my shield. I had no wiper blade on the arm, OUCH....

      OH No! I am so sorry to hear that. is it bad? How bad? is it a chip or a small crack? This may sound crazy but... I have used clear nail polish to stop chips and cracks from spreading or spidering out. they were small chips and cracks. that may save you until you can get a shield.

      @@donaldcombs4677 oh brother it's bad, I need a new windshield, they are coming in a few days to change it. Its somewhat of a blessing I guess, it allows me to work on the dash and get that nice and tight and perfect. I can't tell you how many screws are stripped and missing in this car. I would say at least 70% are gone. I'm going to have some job fixing all these defects...good winter project...

    Hey don! I'm currently disassembling my digidash, and for the connector on the leftmost side that you wedged up, it is truly stuck. Any tips to getting it out without damaging the board?

      Electrical spray, Electrical Dry Lubricant, -40° to 400°F, No Additives, Net Fill 10 oz, Aerosol Can
      it is like electrical grease you use on plow or trailer wire harness connectors. OR
      Apply WD-40, applied with an eye dropper, to each post between boards. let them soak for a bit
      I got lucky and was able to push on each board at the spot for the connectors and they separated for me easily.

      @@donaldcombs4677 Appreciate the help. Was able to get it off using this method. Now if only I had replaced the turn signal bulbs properly before reinstalling it! All in a days work haha

      @@TheGameFoxBrother Man that sucks. I have been there and done that before. Or have been left with a screw or nut at the end of the job. I would be " Where the hell did that go!"

      @@donaldcombs4677 Absolutely! One downside with the C4s is how cramped the dashes are to work on. I managed to actually drop a screw for the digidash back behind the steering column and still looking for it to this day. Gotta love it!

    • @donaldcombs4677
      @donaldcombs4677  3 роки тому

      @@TheGameFoxBrother I DID THAT TOO!!! LOL!! I had to "Gently" wack the dash under the steering column to get the screw to fall out. you can see it in the beginning of the console removal video.
