This is so severely underrated! I absolutely love the use of the classic "conspiracy theory mapped out with red yarn, polaroid pictures, and sticky notes" visual. And the fact that the the stickies make reference to both infamous conspiracy theories and Lemon Demon's music is just the icing on the cake.
Oh, and I don't know if this was intentional or not, but I like to think that the phone not being connected to anything is implying the character in the video is crazy and isn't talking to anyone. Haha, look at me, making conspiracy theories about an obscure fanmade music video...
hii! i was meant to reply to this ages ago but i never got the chance :,) i love the theory of the phone not being plugged in as i’ve never thought of it that way :0 as for the references, i wanted to get as many in there as possible (including the maybe more obscure ones for hardcore fans pfft) im so glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for the cool theory!

1. filming took about 3 days but the preparation (storyboards, lighting plans) took a couple of weeks! I had a lot of other work to do inbtween because this was a college project.
2. I had some help from a couple people but it mainly came from my brain pfft. I did a couple of test shots, especially with the overhead lighting to make sure it was perfect.
3. I did a couple of takes for each scene to make sure it was just right. I think I had to do the most amount of takes where I turn around in the dark room scene bc I wanted it to line up with the music!
Does the skeleton have a name? I assume it is a Candace, because it looks like a Candace, but I'd love to hear if there happens to be a true name... Also, amazing work, this is an amazing video!
@@vercedia thank you so much! his official name is ‘Percy’ and i even put him in the credits for being a good sport and a great dance partner :) before i knew his actual name, i did want to call him ‘Dr Sunshine’ because i was drowning in a deep will wood hyperfixation lol

Maybe Dr. Percy Sunshine could be his full name as a nod to the William Wood Hyperfixation

I've been listening to Lemon Demon for 7 years, exactly when Touch Tone Telephone came out.. and these music videos just make me extremely happy because this song basically started it all for me. This music video is magical! You did a really good job with it. :)

Oh my gosh this is so cool!! So confused as to how I’ve been listening to lemon demon and watching various animated and other non-official music videos since before this came out and never seen this before?? As a person who has done prop and set design (though only really for plays and stuff), the amount of detail put into prop items/backdrops despite this being (what I assume was) a passion project is super awesome!
