@@RailwaysintheSouthWest I helped to return her to steam all those years ago. I have fond childhood memories of going on brake van rides behind her Brother Alfred. way was she having trouble going up the hill because the rails where damp greasy? or was the grade a bit too steep for her?
@eliotreader8220 Ahh brilliant! I'm definitely looking forward to Alfred being back on the rails to see them both running together! The rails were greasy as they hadn't had any services on that line for a good few weeks, even the Prairie needed assistance in the afternoon
@ianjeffery6744 She definitely had a good workout that's for sure! But they hadn't run any trains down the Boscarne branch for a few weeks so to be fair, the lines were quite damp and greasy, even 5552 needed to be rescued by the Class 10 in the afternoon due to loss of traction on the incline
@@RailwaysintheSouthWest Well, she certainly made a valiant effort, and it looks to have been a very dismal and wet day. Some nice shots of her, and the Prairie, out on the line, though.
@ianjeffery6744 To be fair she did give it 2 good attempts but it wasn't to be unfortunately! Yeah the weather was pretty dull and damp most of the day unfortunately! Thankyou much appreciated 😊
