    Thank you for sharing your fantastic experience with us. I know how you needed some down time. One month to the day after my husband turned 50 he had his first heart attack. We went from the ER Dr saying it was maybe an attack to observation overnight. Then an hour later he was scheduled for 5 bi pass surgery. But he lived to be 82 before I lost him. He is singing praises in heaven now with a new body.

    I am moved to tears with this video. Thank You so much for giving us this experience of your retreat. I heard much and learned much. I want to start learning and doing some of these moving and telling samplers.
    Wondering how would I get started. I’ve always been an Aida girl. I also loved your video about linens and even weaves. My eyes are not as sharp as they were when younger but you mentioned we have to let our eyes adjust to the smaller holes. Which sampler would you recommend for beginners. ?
    Again thank You for sharing. This made my day complete.

    To wax or not to wax. I have heard so many answers. Then do you wax cotton or just silk? Will the floss fade or not ? I am so confused could you dear Shelly explain. You are my favorite guru and I have learned so much from you. Thank you for your help.

    • @antiqueneedleworkers
      @antiqueneedleworkers Місяць тому

      I’m a waxer
      I wax all threads
      I pass mine over the wax once
      I use 100% bees wax
      And have never had a single problem
      If you have watched the video where I discuss silk and the one I speak about other threads I tell that back before the spinning wheel was invented in the 1700’s thread was produced by hand spinning it with a hand spindle and it was an arduous task. They waxed all of those threads to make them stable and so they would maintained their continuity.
      I hope this gives you a little confidence in your choice to wax or not. Neither is wrong.
      Your the boss of your thread😊
