- I give my initial impressions on the Shimano RS-100 wheelset that I picked up directly from the distributor for less than $150. I do a lot of road biking and wanted to replace my Mavic Ksyriums as cost effectively as possible.
Just been looking at these $ 130 au each. Seems best option as my old Alex DA 22 are worn by the brakes.
My bike is an old Giant OCR 3 with Shimano 105 gear.
Thanks for the review.
How was it in terms of performance? Just saw a good deal on if for just a little over $100. Thinking of taking it.
I have this for my rear wheel. When I spin the wheel it lasts very short compared to my other hub which spins for over a minute untouched. How about yours?
Does it come with spare spokes? Can we put 28mm tyre on it?
Can they take 700x35c tires and tubes?
Excellent overview! I have a 9-speed and I was worried if these would work for me. I will be making an order soon. Killer soundtrack! Many thanks!
I’ve been running 9sp on this wheelset since this video was made and it’s been working perfectly!
Do we need a spacer? Please
For a 9-speed, yes you will need a spacer.@@Zipking20
Will this be compatible to vintage road bike? I dont know if the hubs size is compatible
Thank you for the video. I don't think you mentioned it in the video. Does this work with a 9 speed Sora cassette?
Yes - I installed a 9 speed cassette and it’s working great.
@@VincentStevenson amazing. Thank you
Just got these. Question. I got a 10-speed bike. Where do i put the spacer provided?
the spacer is the first do go in
It seems the wheelset came with free hub already mounted? What is the type of the Shimano freehub please?
9 through 11 speed Shimano
Is this 8 speed compatible?
Is that ready for tubelesst tire?
No
Can 35c tires fit in this??
No
Shimano WH-R501's are better imo for maybe 20 bucks more... Oops, sorry. They have almost the same price tag but R501's are 40g lighter.
If I am not wrong it can only have 10 speed...
Would of rather heard the hub spin than the music...
