It also depends on genetics, gender, and diet.
(Since females, on average, get longer than males. It also depends on how often the snake was eating since the more a snake eats the heavier and bigger it will most likely be and on how long and heavy the parents were since it could cause an increase or decrease in the snake's size.)

I've kept snakes my whole life. Boas are my absolute favorites, but the retics are gorgeous. When I was much younger, I had 4 snakes that were eating rabbits, along with about 50 smaller ones of varying species.
I only tried retics once. I bought a baby that was 6 weeks old and was already 32 inches long. I had it for one month, and it grew over 6 inches! That snake was going to get too big for me, too fast. But Good Lord are they beautiful...😊

We have like 3 vertibrae from titanboa. Everything we know about them is pure speculation. I wouldn't be all that surprised if they later decided that the vertibrae wasn't even from a snake at all. People made some CRAZY assumptions when those vertibrae were discovered. We have no other bones from them. Its crazy to me that people wont stop talking about them. Its also crazy that ANYONE thinks the green anaconda is the heaviest living snake. If you look at actual records from verified animals, both burmese pythons and reticulated pythons have weighed over 100lbs MORE than any verified anaconda. People need to pay attention to facts and not just what they "feel like" gets bigger. Hollywood movies aren't real life.

Reticulated pythons are the longest snakes in the world, but the female green anaconda is the literally the largest heaviest snake in the world according to experts, and that anaconda looks like a small sized male, maybe you should do a weight test and lets know for sure which is the heaviest. I disagree with his statement. In equal length, the Green Anaconda weigh almost twice as heavy compared to a Reticulated Python. For 32 foot Reticulated Python discovered. There are 2 rare videos of a massive female Green Anaconda's that could match or surpass Reticulated Python maximum record. Hard to tell, especially without a proper measuring tool in the video to scale the exact length. But one particular female in the videos, she looks like a clone miniature descendent of a "Titanoboa". A true Titan for her size.

I was a zoo volunteer and some of us would handle the non- poisonous snakes. some of those snakes were beautiful. I liked the corn snakes they had a belly that made you think of corn so they made me hungry for corn. the biggest snake we handled was a boa constrictor about 9 to 10 feet long. one of our female volunteers was holding the big boa when the exhibit area emptied out. she didn't realize that the snake had wrapped himself around the stool and the volunteers legs for a moment holding her prisoner five or ten minutes later another volunteer came in to see a very worried volunteer pinned to the stool so her rescuer unwrapped the snake from the stool and volunteer legs so she was finally able to get up and put the snake back in his enclosure. I enjoyed handling the reptiles and several of the other types of animals or insects that we exhibited.

Another benefit I felt was hearing the young people telling me what they knew about the animals. Their excitement and joy in sharing their knowledge was a sign that they wanted to know more about their world a thirst for knowledge that I think is important for us all to have.
