- This is the start of my bait review series using my P.L.A.V.A system I have made. This episode tests Mainline Cell boilies, wafters & pop ups using the system.

Hopefully this test series will show which baits are better than others using the 5 criteria system, and which ones are worth spending your hard earned cash on.
I will be doing this with all Carp Fishing Baits, aiming to release once per week. I am unbiased and independent, each of these results is from the tests I have conducted and is my own opinion.

With that wafter, wouldn't you say that hook might be a bit small?? Living in the states i dont use much Pop-ups/wafters etc. but i was always under the impression an ideal wafter is when the hook is sitting flat on the bottom, and the wafter just hovering above.

Tried the Essential Cell balanced wafters today for the first time. Lots of bites, three nice carp to 25lb. All within one hour of putting lines out.
However, after one hour of each first cast of a fresh wafter into the water, the bites just ceased.
And I was seeing that the wafters were completely washed out, odour and tasteless in just one hour! Very disappointing.
So they work if you are in a situation (e.g stalking) where you are going to be regularly casting, and thus change hookbait frequently. (I went through nearly half the pot in an 8 hour session)
But not for ‘static’ long sessions where you are going to leave them out for many hours.
Thats the impression I got of them mate thankyou for confirming the theory 😁 got some nice hookbaits in the tank at the moment 🫡💪👍

I've just had a look. Fair play, he did a tank test it didn't come up when I searched for it just had to search for his name then 👍
All the makers gave feldspar testers to do it
Not sure what thats meant to mean. But I've never seen those results published mate

Nice to see you have a sense of humour, but seriously wouldn't it be time better spent fishing or tackle preparation? There are over a dozen major bait companies, who have many types and flavours in their ranges. It would be great if you had a team working with you, but such a lot of time, effort and cash for one person. I really enjoy you videos😁. Carry on Carping.
Got to have a sense of humour mate lol. I work full time only get weekends to fish, and these tests can be done during the week with a little help. I will slowly work my way through the most popular flavours, and have a few people with big bait collections donating some flavours to try out. Thankyou, got a few fishing sessions coming up can't wait to get out on the bank with the warmer weather, hopefully get a few fish on the bank! :D Tight lines
