This is exactly what I envisioned when I started building my base in the same place. Four grass floor pieces later and I forgot all about base building while I played through the story. I'm glad at least someone was able to build an epic castle using the pagoda! @seethrew you got some competition for most mega builder in grounded gg timber.

Timber this build is crazy brother. Honestly i'm at a loss for words. Your pagoda castle is nothing less than imaginative and incredible. The imagination you have to have to visualize something like this then bring it to life is insane. This build and all of its intricate detail is incredibly inspiring. Great work man, and i hope you come back to build that Hogwarts castle after a clearly much needed break.

How did he create the slingshot up walls? the "elevator"
Thanks i really appreciate it! it was definitely a lot of work! the elevator is the standard jump elevator you can videos on all over the place of but simply put you place a wall and then put a bounce web down and there's a flat side of the bounce web you can clip into the wall and that allows the character to bounce up and then you just repeat with another wall then floor and so on.
Come to think of it, having the quarter be unbuildable is actually useful. It acts as a "marker" to help you start the construction with the right grid alignment, by placing those entrance ramps first. Plus it makes for a neat decoration!
funnily enough i've built in this exact same spot, the best place to start is the triangle entraces into the pagoda, if you take the time to line up everything right then it squares up with the base and everything!
The way he builds and lights his base gives me a wicked Tim Burton vibe, and I'm all here for it.

Wow, thank you for flexing some skills and talent. My complaint is that I cannot see what a finished build would look like and just build whatevah' but Timber gave some good motivation and instructions, "don't just build, have a meaning to what you are doing. Thanks. Looking forward to what builds come next.
Yeah i have a design background so i've always been lucky enough to be able to visualize things in my head, but i will say this base grew slowly, each level took around 100 days haha but might be because of the feathers and lint lol. but start with a place and start building and things will come to you as you go, change things and keep building! glad i could help with some of my tips, alot of people think design is hard but alot of it comes down to determination to keep going till you come up with the idea that works.
Overwhelming is all I can say. I know anyone can do this but wow what am imagination. My creation would look like Seethrew's water tower when he brought it down, just stand back and yell TIMBER

I'm in for about 200 hrs, beat all the bosses and could take off now. But i'm afraid i'll sink another couple hundred hours into this game. What a great build guys, respect.

Wow! Amazing architecture, beautiful interior design! I'm amazed he did it in so little time too. Love the bur floors, my bases are much more dependent on timber from weed stems. That alone had to take some time to collect.

I started a play through where I'm building everywhere I go and intend to enclose the whole map. Other than places like undershed where I can't.
'Shiver my timbers', I'm also building on the pagoda. That base is awesome! That had to be so much work. It's very inspiring to see what you can do. I have a lot of work to do to get mine to that level of detail.

I had architectural experience too. Been trying to build as real as I can. So I would live to see if this guy can actually build a city in the grass lands. That's what I'm working on right now. Hopefully I get to share it with you and everyone else. Whichever day I'm done with it.

I will say if you're looking for some imagination for your build, lets just say i live in Oregon, things have been legal here for awhile haha ;) keep building!! it takes time but every little detail makes it more and more interesting!
Very nice and amazing building. I am sure it needs a lot of time to design. nice details because I think also the details and the purpose of every area make it look well. I love the way it looks from far and I hope you start your Hogwarts castle because I am also on it now. I would love to see what you will come up with. I tell you from now you will need a lot of crow feathers. Hahaha.

Yeah my OCD hates the spots that dont hit perfect too but if they release a half vertical block i can fix it all haha

Amazing build! We were in awe watching it. I have a question, how did you get the clustered mushrooms to grow in your planters? I've tried every type of mushroom and I can't get one. 😅
They are just the small white ones and you have to use rotten food to fertilize them to get the super growth. Same concept with the mushrooms I had outside my base and the sprigs in the same room.
Now can’t wait to see him replace the mushroom bricks with ash cement walls

I started a base there. The leaves on the roof were like that quarter and I just gave up. I like TIM BURton movies and think I will recreated the Edward Scissorhands house.

looks very nice, omg yes build hogwarts, ithougt about building a hogwards inspired base in conan and i did once in minecraft but that wassent very big haha very cool tour got alot of ideas being new to the game and a lover of building myself thats very nice,.. My ex thougt it whas pronounced Temper. and i am like no thats something you get when i tell you that youre wrong xD
I was going to build hogwarts but there’s 3 or 4 people already doing it so I’ve decided to do a few smaller Harry Potter inspired builds instead of just recreating it. Seems a bit more fun to build something unique instead of a copy anyways :)
Paraly5er did a myth busting video and covered the entire same castle... it is confirmed you won't sizzle if it's covered...

dont kick it down! just keep building i wish i had video of how it started ha. its really just grown slowly, you just have to be willing to take parts down and change them if its not working. builds only get better if you keep adding to them1
@@TimberBuilds i ended up shifting to the sons of the forest but finished it in 2 days 🤷🙈 so think ill be going back to grounded for a while but this time in god mode just to build ...was thinking of covering up the pond completely and build a village on it 👍🏼

i've always wondered, does the crow stop landing on the pagoda or its other landing spots if you build on them?
according to timber, he said the bird just phases through his build, and doesnt destroy anything. which means you can build a bird house, where the bird lands, and his head pokes out the hole LOL
Yeah the bird doesnt care about the building materials at all, i think it would be cool to build a bird cage at a location its lands since it would clip through it ha

i always stayed away from them just in case but maybe in my own next base building i could get up close with like a birdwatching balcony..
Can the crow still land in the bird bath or does the castle stop it from landing there?
It still lands there and acts like nothing has changed doesn't effect the build at all it just clips through it but your character can get stuck there till the crow leaves.
How do I switch from 3rd person to 1st person on grounded? I've looked in settings and don't seem to see it
for me on PC its the Z key, it brings up a radial menu

I'm assuming this uses a no clip / no collision mod etc. mod or something. If so where can I get my GRUBBY little paws on it? Awesome base
I think there is just certain techniques that allow you to clip, not sure how he did it
@@seethrew Ahhh. I've been mucking around. If you place floor pieces far enough apart from each other so they don't snap you can change the angle of them and then build on the "poles" of the floors towars each other, this give a point where they overlap and you can then build walls etc at different angles to each other. It doesn't always work but I'm getting there!.
No mods were used on this build at all. the reason the walls can clip is you can build each wall form the center and build it outwards so it doesn't try to snap to the other walls. once you get a few blocks down its pretty easy. some walls are easier than others, I've found mushroom half walls are the way to goo, they give you more snap points and its much easier to build them so they clip into each other.
@@MrGarbfink yeah its all about messing with the system, I've found you can build almost anything you want if you do it in the right order. sometimes its just taking one piece off and rebuilding it and it works ha. keep it up! i had to change my design a ton at each stage to get things to work out. just takes persistence.
