Ladder Braid Side Ponytail | Cute Girls Hairstyles

- In this video, we show you first how to create a Feather Braid, and how to use one to create a super cute Ladder Braid. This video will essentially be two tutorials in one!

We have used this braiding technique for awhile, and some of my UA-cam friends have great tutorials as well {Hair4myPrincess, GirlyDos, BabesInHairland, etc}. This particular combination was inspired by a French UA-cam beauty guru by the name of EnjoyPhoenix { / enjoyphoenix }.
My girls are learning how to create this braid in their own hair, which is why we show you how to use it in a cute side braid. They love it because it seems much more grown up than the simply ponytail version. You will note that this braid has a similar fun look as a few of our other ponytail combos...

Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, 3 small hair elastics, hairspray and accessory {if desired}.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, Debbie! Our last 2 are adopted and we are an interracial family. A compliment like yours is so important to me! {My fear is that the moms of my youngest 2 will feel like I am incompetent at taking care of natural hair!} I know what you meant, and take zero offense. I personally think that those who force PC upon others are being intolerant in their own way... we are about hair, confidence and providing bonding time among mothers/daughters/friends(even daddies)!

i went camping last week and my little cousin was running around jumping in the water and her mum wanted her hair tied up out of the way. i decided to do the ladder braid to try it out. i succeeded! and legit, little girls were coming up to me and asking me to go to their tent to show their mums how to do it! i ended up doing 5 girls hair! during that week i showed all the mums some of your hairstyles and they loved them! so i wanted to thank you for teaching us all.

Instead of securing all of the hair together to finish it off, I took the two braids together behind the hair and secured them.
