Yes, it is more challenging than the other levels, but it is quite tiresome. Still, I found it easier than the other extra level in N'sane trilogy, the Stormy Ascend.... That was a Nightmare!!!!

No offense but after watching this, future frenzy and gone tomorrow seem to be joke to me now, even the areas outside the death route in this level are comparably challenging to the death route/green gem path in the other 2 levels, vicarious visions sure knows how to make crash levels, such clever arrangements of so many features in the future setting #adore
It was intentionally designed to be much harder than those levels, but VV did some clever things with it. It wouldn't be out-of-place if it was put in a warp room with Stormy Ascent, and I love that. I wish they would do a new level for Crash 2, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. A new Crash game going forward from this style (and essentially doing away with everything from WoC onward) would be great from VV.
RE5MGS4fans too bad the game is buggy as hell. Nobody tested the damn thing. Sometimes I click to jump,and it doesn't jump and I die because of bad orgrming or glitchy hitboxes.
I can’t seem to find all the crates to unlock the crates gem. Where are those final crates? I always get up to either 130 or 137 but we need 145 crates to unlock the gem. So where are those missing crates?
Although it was somewhat difficult at times when playing this level I didn't care because the creativity was top notch. It's so much more rewarding when you complete a level of such extreme difficulty, it's the challenge we live for as players. Hopefully more to come in the future.
Holy shit this is the greatest crash level I have ever played, they incorporate so many new challenges, ones I never thought I would see in a crash game, the hidden routes, the tricky platforming, the neat little touches like the reflections. I'm praying we get a true sequel to the original trio made by vicarious visions because God damn, it's the first time in a long time a platformer has impressed me like Super Mario World for SNES or crash bandicoot 2. Seriously when I jumped up on the roof of the elevator to find the exclamation point box I was already in love, really embracing the Crash 1 stylr

This level is REALLY impressive. Alot of parts are simply genius. I legit said "Vicarious, you crazy bastards" once I got to the death route Oh yeah and then proceeded to scream "DAMN YOU VICARIOUS VISIONS" for making me go through the hell that was the Death Route. I spent about 20-ish lives and a whole hour in it
The powerups certainly "ease" this level at some point but this is BY FAR the hardest level ever of CB3 now. But damn, I LOVED the creativity they had put here, I wonder if they'll try a new Crash game. They clearly have the potential for it =P

As always, another fantastic playthrough by Garland. Given how well throughout and challenging the Brio stage from Stormy Ascent and now with Future Tense have given me high hopes that Vicarious Visions can make a new Crash game that can stand alongside the Naughty Dog trilogy.
I downloaded it last night and managed to beat and obtain both gems. It's a pretty challenging level, but it's a fun kind of challenge. I died a lot, but you more than make up for the lives lost and nothing feels cheap or unreasonable. Oddly enough I actually struggled the most with the bonus level trying to figure out the timing of the TNT and the exclamation boxes. If you want a fun challenging level, give this one a go. You will more than likely die, but even all the deaths didn't compare to Stormy Ascent. That level literally broke me.
This level is absolutely genius. I like how it is chalenging, yet it it completely fair and not just about trial and error like in some other hard platformers like super meat boy. I still liked that game though. I remember it taking me 2 hours just to unlock "The Kid" on that game.
I love the use of the bazooka. It always felt out of place in the game, like an afterthought. I love all the ways it was used in the level. Really felt like obstacles you needed the bazooka to solve
If NST ever gets another DLC (don't hold your breath, btw) then it should be and would likely be for Crash 2. If that's the case, I would personally like it to be a ruins level maybe set during a sunrise like the old concept art.
@MCFPapa The next Crash game should be free roaming / open world. I loved the exploration aspect of Twinsanity and Tag Team Racing. It would be nice to see another free roaming Crash game.
Crypto I think that what really make grat these games are the sonic/mario platform levels and that's why I think crash of titans is worse. They made a crash game that look like a spongebob game that are a great land full with nothing and crash' movement were slow and dumb. The first 3 games are great because they are fast thinking and mobile. They also reward you with relics (important things if you want a platinum thropy)
To anyone that doesn't know, shoot one of the scientists flying around in the background during any of the 3D parts of the level and you get a trophy for it.

In my opinion, that should've been where the Orange Gem make its return. Its role? Send you back to where you found a death route platform instead of completing the level in that route. No wonder it was erroneously included with the remaining 42 gems for a giant laser.
This does showcase that Vicarious’s could make unique and clever levels when they attempt to. As of right now I wouldn’t mind if they took control on a new Crash franchise .
Thanks for the video. I had troubles getting boxes from the bonus level underneath the metal. I kept shooting the tnt box rather than letting it go on countdown only to discover you can go underneath. I also had troubles getting the offscreen box. I could see it on the mirror but it didn't occur to me that the spawning spiky traps were there to help you out 😆
Vicarious Visions has proven themselves as capable of making some really cool and unique Crash levels. Really hope they get to make a brand new Crash game (after a CTR remaster, of course. :P). Amazing run of this level!

That better be one of those ruin levels because I see a lotta wasted potential in those levels. Mainly with the rotating platforms, swinging pillars and gorillas weren't fully utilized in those levels. Ok, Ruination did use those rotating platforms in clever fashion with those possums and Nitro Detonator Crate on the middle of the platforms, but I have a feeling that trick could be done better. I dunno how.
I really hope it will be snow or factory with elements from scrapped cliff level I mean, cliff level was meant to play like 2D game so snow or factory themes fit perfectly
Seeing this spectacular level played so flawlessly really makes me wish it was also in the original Warped 🧐 When I was a little girl, I really loved that game ❤️ but found it super easy compared to 1 and 2 before it 😓 This level would have been both frustrating and satisfying to do 🤓 Seeing everything come together so seamlessly when getting the gems really reminded me of 2, my all time fav Crash game 😍
Did you notice that the 1.06 patch got down the number of fruits droppoed from the boxes? Before it, the game already have less fruits dropped compare to the original PS1 trilogy.
If you want a real challenge with this level, don't use the bazooka unless you're required to. It's how I played the level for the first time and it made for a rewarding experience.
this level looks beautiful on ps4, have a look at nintendo switch version it doesnt have the mirrored reflection so you cant see the robot shooting and it looks muddy washed out. also the d pad on pro controller is grrr annoying. managed to scrape the blue relic here.
Dang i loved what they did with this level, lots of really nice challenges and that death route was very "death route" worthy, not only do u gotta take an off-path to get to the platform the route itself is pretty tricky i can see getting the platinum and no-powerups would be very hard on this I just recently bought crash again on PC, and im really hoping they will release some form of level editor (or modders might make one) so we can make our own crash levels, even if its just box/enemy replacing i would be happy with that

What they should do if VV makes a new Crash game 50 levels 10 Warp Rooms 10 Bosses (one for each Warp Room: Papu Papu, Ripper Roo, Tiny, Dingodile, Pinstripe, N Gin, Cortex, and three new original bosses in there somewhere Each Warp Room should actually increase the overall difficulty of the game, not like Crash 2 and 3 where the games never really got that hard A secret Warp Room with 5 super hard levels, like incredibly hard, and a boss rush at the end where you fight every boss in the game back to back with only one life and a fully upgraded mask A new item to collect in each level, gotten by simply beating the level without dying Hidden collectables in each level, like you have to find 5 tokens or something (like Super Mario World) Gems and Relics return No powerups as they make the games too easy New original level themes and creative new traps Bosses should be a little more complex than "spin him three times when he's done attacking". Maybe bosses can have multiple forms, or make their openings not as obvious so you have to think outside the box a little, like Ripper Roo in Crash 1 That would be the perfect Crash game imo. Is it too much? Remember games today are 60 bucks and have a ton of content. I don't think this would be too much at all. It would be a lot more than the original games, but still small compared to most games today.
Currently trying for the platinum relic on this level. I've got the gold so far on a time very close to platinum. There are definitely a few spots where it is hard to not get hurt and lose Aku Aku without slowing down, and wherever you see three Aku Aku crates in a single relic challenge, you will need invincibility to get the best time. Also huh... Reading the comments, I feel like the only person who had no problems with the death route lol. But then, I've been playing Crash for 19 years now, and I got all the platinum relics in Crash 3 before even attempting this level. After I get the relic here and can say I completed the game with all gems and platinum relics, again, then it's time to attempt the Crash 1 and 2 relics. Joy for all considering those games are not meant to be rushed, but hey, I already got all the platinum relics in Crash 3 (legitimately by the way, there are some leaderboard scores on the PC version I've seen that are very obviously hacked like 13 milliseconds on the first level of Crash 1) and I am dead set on getting the platinum on this level too, so clearly I enjoy pain.
I wish new stages would just keep getting pumped out for this game, that or a new crash bandicoot akin to warped or the wrath of cortex would come out soon!

But here, it’s like Vicarious Visions were like... “Let’s show them that we can faithfully recreate the basic functions from the original trilogy. And then, let’s show them in just ONE level what we are really capable of making.”
Despite of being a remake, the Vicarios Visions levels are incredible, they show us that if they want, they could create a new Crash game by themselves

With 2 bonuses, the first with 15 boxes and the other 35 boxes. When the last checkpoint is broken, the "ruination death route" soundtrack will sound. Will Next, Crash 3 2018 (Dr Nina Cortex) DLC BOSS | PS4. Boss will have 4 lives and not 3. And there will be 6 bosses in the game. The fight will be based on the fact that we will chase away from the boss, and there will be a skylight.
How about Rock Bottom, another ruins level where the orange gem is obtained by completing the level without activating the nitro switch at the start? The level will be a lot harder, but the orange gem is your reward.
NoxStarPlay What I loved to see is another Night Jungle level "Night Fright" Make it where there are 175 boxes and the death route extremely hard, If anyone knows about the Slide Jump Spin glitch then make us use that glitch to this level for far distances
at 5'24, this pattern reminds me some levels from Crash XS and N-Tranced, on GBA, both developped by Vicarious Visions too. So, it's not really surprising, but fun to remark.

this level looks beautiful on ps4, have a look at nintendo switch version it doesnt have the mirrored reflection so you cant see the robot shooting and it looks muddy washed out. also the d pad on pro controller is grrr annoying. managed to scrape the blue relic here.

Dang i loved what they did with this level, lots of really nice challenges and that death route was very "death route" worthy, not only do u gotta take an off-path to get to the platform the route itself is pretty tricky
i can see getting the platinum and no-powerups would be very hard on this
I just recently bought crash again on PC, and im really hoping they will release some form of level editor (or modders might make one) so we can make our own crash levels, even if its just box/enemy replacing i would be happy with that
EvilGod50 they should update the game with a new level maker feature where you can make your own levels or play levels made by other people playing this game

What they should do if VV makes a new Crash game
50 levels
10 Warp Rooms
10 Bosses (one for each Warp Room: Papu Papu, Ripper Roo, Tiny, Dingodile, Pinstripe, N Gin, Cortex, and three new original bosses in there somewhere
Each Warp Room should actually increase the overall difficulty of the game, not like Crash 2 and 3 where the games never really got that hard
A secret Warp Room with 5 super hard levels, like incredibly hard, and a boss rush at the end where you fight every boss in the game back to back with only one life and a fully upgraded mask
A new item to collect in each level, gotten by simply beating the level without dying
Hidden collectables in each level, like you have to find 5 tokens or something (like Super Mario World)
Gems and Relics return
No powerups as they make the games too easy
New original level themes and creative new traps
Bosses should be a little more complex than "spin him three times when he's done attacking". Maybe bosses can have multiple forms, or make their openings not as obvious so you have to think outside the box a little, like Ripper Roo in Crash 1
That would be the perfect Crash game imo. Is it too much? Remember games today are 60 bucks and have a ton of content. I don't think this would be too much at all. It would be a lot more than the original games, but still small compared to most games today.

Currently trying for the platinum relic on this level. I've got the gold so far on a time very close to platinum. There are definitely a few spots where it is hard to not get hurt and lose Aku Aku without slowing down, and wherever you see three Aku Aku crates in a single relic challenge, you will need invincibility to get the best time.
Also huh... Reading the comments, I feel like the only person who had no problems with the death route lol. But then, I've been playing Crash for 19 years now, and I got all the platinum relics in Crash 3 before even attempting this level. After I get the relic here and can say I completed the game with all gems and platinum relics, again, then it's time to attempt the Crash 1 and 2 relics. Joy for all considering those games are not meant to be rushed, but hey, I already got all the platinum relics in Crash 3 (legitimately by the way, there are some leaderboard scores on the PC version I've seen that are very obviously hacked like 13 milliseconds on the first level of Crash 1) and I am dead set on getting the platinum on this level too, so clearly I enjoy pain.

Jeez... even the 2D side-scrolling parts feel 3D! Now that is impressive. This level is hard! What is this level called again? ‘Future Ascent’ or... ‘Stormy Tense’? Oh yes, I remember! ‘Cold hard future ascent’... that’s it.
Edit: I’m not slagging off the original PS1 trilogy because it was great for it’s time. But here, it’s like Vicarious Visions were like... “Let’s show them that we can faithfully recreate the basic functions from the original trilogy. And then, let’s show them in just ONE level what we are really capable of making.”
Despite of being a remake, the Vicarios Visions levels are incredible, they show us that if they want, they could create a new Crash game by themselves

Level referring to "Road To Ruin" and "Ruination". Level 28, with 198 boxes. With a background of a storm in the sunset. With 2 bonuses, the first with 15 boxes and the other 35 boxes. When the last checkpoint is broken, the "ruination death route" soundtrack will sound.
Will Next, Crash 3 2018 (Dr Nina Cortex) DLC BOSS | PS4.
Boss will have 4 lives and not 3. And there will be 6 bosses in the game.
The fight will be based on the fact that we will chase away from the boss, and there will be a skylight.
How about Rock Bottom, another ruins level where the orange gem is obtained by completing the level without activating the nitro switch at the start? The level will be a lot harder, but the orange gem is your reward.
NoxStarPlay What I loved to see is another Night Jungle level "Night Fright" Make it where there are 175 boxes and the death route extremely hard, If anyone knows about the Slide Jump Spin glitch then make us use that glitch to this level for far distances

pretrinka you have to make sure you shoot the exclamation box then not die and the death route should be up on the left in the level

at 5'24, this pattern reminds me some levels from Crash XS and N-Tranced, on GBA, both developped by Vicarious Visions too. So, it's not really surprising, but fun to remark.

They can make an entire game since they made that level. I did a play through of this too, took me 30 mins to complete lol
Still far easier than Stormy Ascent because Crash already had so many abilities such as double jump, hyperspin, and bazooka.
