Hey shea, I truly believe that all of your subscribers gravitated to your channel as a result of your wholesome demeanor and your genuineness. You only recommended products that you truly loved, but lately, it seems like you support what is currently on trend as long as whoever your current sponsor is willing to push towards your followers. I precisely recall you recommending almost every shoe that you stated should be “pushed away” in this video. I understand that trends go out of style momentarily, but what makes one truly stylish and classic is sticking to their own way of being, regardless of what is currently floating in the realm of fashion. We all know that you aren’t suffering financially, so why not return to your original self before all of the brands tempted you to support them? You may actually acquire even more subscribers that way.

Funny thing is that I’m definitely looking to acquire the mules and loafers that you said to push out. I won’t be doing the cowboy boots because they’re too much of a trend. I did buy a mid-calf, suede, nude-colored boot that kinda of does the same thing optically but looks far more refined. I feel like your best recommendation was the lace-up sandal with the low heel, although I’m probably going to go with a regular two-strap white sandal with a mid-height heel. The espadrilles with the PVC straps looked cheap to me.

You can spot a tourist a mile away because of the cheap (ones not worn by the locals) "cowboy" boots. Nevermind the fact that they are one of the most uncomfortable boots you will ever wear until they are properly broken in, hence a good pair is an investment.

Shea, it's fun to watch your videos, but I think "pushing out" styles you were "pushing in" only months ago is a bit of a miss. Every style you presented as new is not really new. Every shoe you showed, new or last season, has a place in a wardrobe depending on taste. Cowboy boots , if you ask me, are as old and tired as can be and are best worn where the local culture embraces them. I bought boots in Nashville years ago and that's probably best where to wear them. Clogs are real throw backs but fun for someone who loves them. Etc etc. So, rather than "pushing out " styles that still go great w so many outfits, suggestions for "adding to" a shoe collection seems a better approach to me.

But I am very keen on when UA-camrs will recommend a certain item, then seem to disown it a few months later. Specifically, Shea had highly recommended the Sam Edelman Lior loafer not too long ago, and now is “pushing them out.” Fortunately, I already owned my pair long before her recommendation. (I have the brown ones, like the shoe depicted at the top of the three loafers she was pushing out.) I still wear mine and have no plans to get rid of them! I also wear chunky loafers. I was very fortunate to find a “vintage” pair of Stuart Weitzman ones. Some of the modern, affordable offerings are a bit cheaply made unless you’re willing to splurge.

I think it's interesting that many of the comments are saying that people prefer many styles considered out of style (I agree as it happens) It just makes me wonder if the fashion industry are actually all that in tune with what people want to wear? Everyone should wear what they feel comfortable and confident in because confidence is always in style!

I personally find classic pieces that I really love and that I wear for years. I only get rid of clothing when it no longer fits (I've lost a fair bit of weight and had to replace my clothing recently) I try to stick to mostly interchangeable items that I can style in different ways so I can get the most from my wardrobe. I have donated my too large items and items that are not really wearable anymore I try to 'upcycle' where I can. I think we all have a responsibility to be less wasteful to do our bit for our planet

Clogs were in style in the 1970's. The ones with the wooden bottoms like she showed here. Wedges were called platform in the 70's and there also espadrilles in the 70's. It all just circles around.

So, I totally understand that fashion can be fun and stuff. But instead of asking what the trend is, I think it would be better for the environment and your wallet to simply wear what you like and what suits you.
That trend thing is basically an invention of fashion brands to make money. Don't let them pressure you.

I don’t think anyone would look at you weird if you wear the “out of trend” because I don’t think they’re out yet just not the hot thing. For me, I really like girly sneakers (with florals, dainty, in pretty colors, etc) and Mary Janes of any kind.

Fashion comes and goes. It is disposable. It is style that’s permanent. I don’t buy things because they are the current fashion. If I see clothes I like, I try them. If they look good on me, I buy them. To start with, I am wearing it for myself! Not for fashion watchers or the fashion industry. It just so happen I tend to gravitate toward classic, yet simple styles.

I'm 40 and the last few years I have put my focus on more classic, chic, feminine styles that really look good on my body. No matter what the piece is, if it's flattering on, you will look and feel amazing! I will only spend $$$ on clothes, shoes, bags that I know will get good use and last a long time instead of buying all the time ( although I do love shopping! )

One thing I love is noticing that fashion trends are really different from the USA to Europe.
For example, the chunky heels with straps that you show in the beggining have been all the rage for a few years and they are still going strong, now with the new colors of the season. And the colors for this season are just bright, nearly neon (blue, yellow, green, orange). They are always sold out, it is impossible to get your hands on a pair. We don't see much of tie-up ankle straps.
As for boots, whats really in style is the combat boot, either for summer or winter, especially with platform or chunky soles, we don't see much of western boots. We don't have that tradition. We also don't see lots of birkenstocks either 😅
    Great video, as always 😍
