I have loved airplanes all my life I never have flown one but I absolutely love the older aircraft those Curtis’s are beauties thanks for sharing this video it really made my morning. I would love to see those in person
Just found this, and I love it! Your video gave me a big thrill seeing two of my favorite Curtiss airplanes together. I write a 1910s murder mystery series where my protagonist, a female reporter, learns to fly on a pusher at the Glenn Curtiss school in San Diego. That's in book one set in 1915. In the upcoming book, she's able to purchase a WWI Army surplus Jenny in 1921 which she flies from San Diego to Los Angeles to catch a killer. According to newspaper articles in 1921, the Army still had surplus Jennys and was selling them at $500 each - a little over $7,000 in today's money. Thanks again.
pretty cool!
