I meant that the aircraft crashed, killing both occupants. It's too early in the NTSB investigation at this time but witnesses saw the aircraft on fire before it crashed.
pdutube Just looked it up. Apparently the fault was down to the propellor. It was undersized, rated for a 180bhp engine and not the Jenny's 200, and the weight of the copper cladding on the tips coupled with engine vibration and stress caused it to fail. Engine caught fire, probably a result of the broken propellor damaging fuel and oil lines. www.kathrynsreport.com/2016/11/curtiss-jenny-fatal-accident-occurred.html
That was fantastic thanks. I worked on the one thats at Dayton air museum now, when I was in basic at Lackland in 84.
RIP Jenny and your crew,so sad.
Beautiful plane and great video. Like!!! 👍👍👍

On that high-speed beat-up of the field, he must have been doing close to 70mph! :-)*
pukita, pukita, pukita, chug, chug, flap, flap, pukita, chug...........
Such a sad ending for such a beautiful plane. The two pilots I'm sure, are sorely missed.

Looks like a Hispano engine.
@The-Metal-Life It was. The FAA accident report has all that data.
