ok kristin, I managed to make and follow in making the blanket but you skipped making the filler motif, I find instructions are hard to figure out. would you make a video which is all I have left to do to be able to put throw together. I see other people are having difficulties also. the most important part of the throw was left out. Please make a video so I can complete. :(
I've made two of these blankets. I would like to touch and feel the final project using RH yarn - as perhaps the different yarn thickness changes the end effect. But the issue I have is that at round 6 stitching into the back loop of the white makes this a 'weak point' in the finished project. As it is stretched and used the white of round 5 becomes more distorted. You can sort of see what I mean at the 11:31 mark of the vid. I've found over time the white just becomes more stretched
@@shoffman67 Oh my, total chance I saw this message. This was a very long time ago - still have the blankets though - they are so cool. I'd have to go back and watch the vid myself. I recall there was a vid by the manufacturer of the pattern and another vid by Mikey from crochet crowd. But 8 years later there should be more vids out there to help. Did you figure it out?
Good video instruction till she got to round 6-why the heck did she not have the camera showing her work for the viewer as she did the other rows-I got it, but no thanks to her instructions :(
Hi everyone. For those of you who think this tutorial is too fast, Mikey Sellick from the Crochet Crowd has another tutorial that is explained much better and is much easier to follow. I believe he also addresses the mistakes in the pattern. ua-cam.com/video/x9LjXdQE9wI/v-deo.html
I need help. I watched the original red heart video series on this throw that said to join the motifs in strips and then add the small motifs. I now have 6 straps of 7 large motifs. I see how the small ones fit but I have no clue how to attach the larger motifs to the large motif in the row above. Help please
The first sc of Round (6) was not shown, just after joining Color A. The joining/last stitch of the same Round was also not shown, so there is no way to tell if that sc was done as the last stitch before joining, or not done at all. Sadly, my motifs are only (5") in diameter, vs. the (7-1/2") diameter they are supposed to be. I have never known my gauge to be off that far. The instructions for the joining round (Round 7 for all but the first motif) do not seem to be accurate. They seem to be specifying a ch(3) space when it should be the ch(2) space of the previous round. Also, it calls for (2) joins to the previous motif (which doesn't seem to be enough). Then it talks about a repeat but is unclear as to whether it should be performed immediately (which would mean a total of (4) joins, but that seems too many for the 2 circular motifs to make a straight line). Hopefully the next video will explain...
I'm finding rnd 7 also difficult to follow and understand, you don't show the work, also when you go from ending rnd 6 and starting rnd 7 there isn't a pause or explain you just run directions together. It's nice to see where the hook is going but to see what pattern it makes so we can tell that we are doing it right. It would be great if you slowed dow;n for those whom are not has fast. :) I don't see any comments answered. :( thank you
I made this blanket as a novice crocheter a number of years ago and did not have a video tutorial and it is beautiful. To say that this is the worst video is a little over the top. I know “worst” when I see it, this one doesn’t make the “worst” category. You try make a free video. To the folks who say it’s too fast., learn your UA-cam settings button a the botton of the screen, you can control the speed! Slow it down yourself.
I noticed that for the snowflake at the end you have 8 points to the star, I can only get 7 points. How are you getting 8. I have done exactly what you have done step by step. The only thing I can think of doing is do more dc at the beginning to make the center bigger and instead skipping 2 dc just skip 1 sc. Please help. Is the pattern off ? and at the end you really don't say how many points there should be.
Yes ! It is impossible to figure out where the Trc has to be placed. I made many patterns with the same front and back crochet but this is.....not very helpfull .
Not trying to knock the videos but I have searched and searched for a really nice snowflake pattern in these exact colors , a dark navy and a nice bright white. I was again disappointed to find that people do not realize a snowflake always has only six sides. It would make the pattern so much nicer if someone would just make a six sided snowflake. . Where are you people getting these eight sided snowflakes? I know it is just an artistic representation of a snowflake but still, it just looks off with eight sides. Anybody have a good six sided pattern?
I love these patterns but you are far too fast for teaching. I'm a beginner to intermediate crocheter and I'm partially sighted so its hard enough to follow ordinary paced videos. I'd love to learn the c2c but again your tutorial is far too fast. Its like you're rushing it.
I have been crocheting for years and can read patterns pretty simply and finish projects fairly quick. This pattern had a few issues so I watched the video. This video tutorial is terribly shot and it's hard to understand what she's telling you to do. As well as the camera moving to view from the front. If a beginner was watching there there is no way they would be able to follow or understand. Terrible terrible tutorial. I understand yes it is hard to teach others but my issue is the wording she's using and sometimes says to DC in the next stitch but she's doing it in the same stitch as before. Just confusing.
I made 2 of these. I believe it's my favorite afghan.
I have this in-store free paper pattern from years ago 🤣😍
oh yes, I am using everything that was suggested for doing the throw blanket. Thank you
You make it look so easy.. I can't wait to be a PRO like you XOXO
I like this star pattern and I'm going to start a new project thank you

Any chance you can help me? I made the strips like the video but I can't figure out how to put them together

I want you to teach how to,do the beautiful cape you used in this video. :)

For round 5 the pattern says to slip stitch in between, not single crochet.??🥹
The sweater you are wearing in beautiful...is it crochet?if so can you teach us that
Thanks for re visiting this visually stunning pattern. The first set of vids wasn't the best for a beginner.

Having trouble when she starts round 7 :(

Doesn't anybody ever think to mention how much yarn is required?
The pattern calls for 2 skeins of white, and 5 skeins of shaded dusk, both red heart brands.
Я свяжу такой, но не буду каждый раз отрезать нити. Я буду аккуратно их вплетать в мотив.

Why tf would you pull the camera away when doing round 6? I have no idea what you did
You can't see what your doing on round 6

Need to slow down and actually show where you are placing the needle.
OMG.. :( I understand you, but you talk too dang fast!!!
Would be much easier to follow if the view was what she is seeing all the time and not a set of hands!
