I just told my friends the best part of the 90's was the Wranglers but this Old Country is the best. I wish country music was like that today. This was an awesome video! Thanks for sharing it.
Saw this man for the first time in 1992, and every year since, as often as possible, and ALWAYS enjoy him and his band. Never get enough of this man and his music. George Jones said Mark is the real deal, and he is!
Markchesnutt addresses every human emotion and causes us to reflect on the events of life that we've played as we move through the deck of cards that we were dealt. Everyone has a favorite song thar rekindled a precious memory. We can't put a price on the album of emotions Mark presents in every presentation.
He does have one of the most underrated voices out there. But I also am partial to another Texan, Mr. Clint Black! Waylon and George Jones definitely sit at the top of the most enviable voices of all time though.
Don't forget Tracy Byrd and Clay Walker.Oh yeah...King George Strait with more number 1 country hits than anyone.Dont forget Willie Nelson, Lone Star and Little Texas.
My wife & I & kids have seen you in concert 4-5 times, started our kids on your music when they were about 5-6 years old. Mark your music never gets old! we love your music every time we listen to you, my oldest daughter is 30 and she still enjoys your talent today! She just saw you in Reno, Nevada this last spring and was just thrilled! Your tops with our country kind of music Mark! Love your voice and ballads! Take care!!
My Dearest Mark. Boy, we go back so many years n Beaumont Texas to Winnie & the TEXAS RICE FESTIVAL, Karate practice where we would spar together. Then to the Boulevard in the Colonade Shopping Center; a wooden stool, spotlight & your Gutiar & that golden voice. I was SO PROUD of you. I knew that you would fulfill your dream. Now looking back, well I think your record of success speaks for itself. Hell Yeah, Mark. I KNEW THAT YOU WERE GONNA MAKE IT HAPPEN! I'm so very happy & grateful to know that you followed your dream. Now get better & lets get in the studio for a surprise Podcast Live from Denver Colorado with Mark Chesnutt & Michael O. We can even broadcast live on the golf course. Take care of yourself my brother. God watches & blesses your life. I'll think of something. Congratulations. I'm standing up & my hats off to you my ole freind. My Brother. Get your strength back & visit me here n Denver Colorado.
Thanks for the upload, Mark's music is unique and as original and traditional as one can get! Never ever cut a bad hit, they are all #1 hits in my book. Mark's music will go on and on and on forever!!!!
I am so glad I found these! What a voice!! I still melt hearing him. The whole band is amazing..I was 33 when this was taped. I wish we had UA-cam back then! I wore out all Mark’s Cassette tapes 😆 then bought the C.D.’s! Now it’s time to find it on ITunes! Wooo!
I am so impressed that Mark Chestnut can remember so many songs. I was at one of his private shows; he said make a request- no matter what people requested he knew the song. Never missed a beat. Great Entertainer.
Thanks for the upload. Luv all of his music since the 90's & 2023 still Loving. Thanks for my radio station WBAM in Montgery, AL still playing the older Country
Mark is Best In Country Music with Gold 👑 Honky Tonk with Amazing Songs and voice and vocals he is truly Legend Clint Black is my other Favorite in Honky Tonk but in competition Mark is on Top i Ben Listing to Him since early 90s
We use to go watch Mark perform at the Red Carpet Inn in Beaumont Texas before it burned down. I got to meet Mark's mom. She lived in the south Park section of Beaumont. She was one sweet person. Mark had offered to buy her a new home but she loved the one she had....but she did let Mark buy her a Cadillac.lol
Venkman29 Definitely a keeper! I’m about the age Mark is, in 1993, we didn’t have UA-cam. It’s awesome watching him on here. Even though I’m older and slower, I still love every song he’s recorded. Miss the early 90’s..
I know he’s relatively well regarded for his voice, but I still think he’s underrated. For me, it’s a George Jones, Keith Whitley, Mark Chesnutt. I met him at a bar called Losers in Nashville, and he couldn’t have been nicer! I’m from East Texas as well so that may have helped.
mark's best friend and guitar player, glen gordon, was an old fishing buddy. glen was a world class player, and would have been recognized more had he not died too young.
I've been following this man since he started.saw him at fort bend county fairgrounds...brazos bottom bar and grill...opening for hank jr at the houston rodeo... he's real country
Country music doesn't get better, because it's coming from the soul of a good man.
Man I always loved listening to your songs on Houston's 97.1 Country Legends. Sticking to your roots and real country music. God bless you 🙏

Every performance is professional. No ego just talent!
Zero ego. Professional yet personable. Tells it like he sees it with kindest in every spoken word.

Where did time go? Feels like we were all line dancing, 2 stepping just yesterday and it's been over 30 years.
Now thats my kind of country

i think mark is one of the top three country voices to come out of texas, along with george jones and waylon.
What about Strait?...
He does have one of the most underrated voices out there. But I also am partial to another Texan, Mr. Clint Black! Waylon and George Jones definitely sit at the top of the most enviable voices of all time though.

Clint Black also Willie Nelson
If it wasn’t for Texan Charlie Walker there’d be no honky tonk country.

I've got a VHS tape with a lot of TV appearances he did back in the day. I should get it made into a DVD and see what's all on there!
