This reminded me of my Droopy (a basset hound) when he was growing up. We got him when he was just 10 weeks old. I sure do miss him. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge back in 2014, at the ripe old age of 15 yrs and 7 mos. Thank you. I truly mean it. Thank you.
one of the hardest things i learned in life is knowing when to say goodbye. I've lost many furbabies too but im comforted knowing i gave them the best life possible. One day i will see them all again, and then we will be laughing and running like old times.
I've had dogs my whole life. A few months ago it was just our Lab Shar Pei mix Shadow and his younger brother Sunny the Great Pyrenees mix who looks like a Dalmatian. But then one day about a year ago I looked in my front yard and saw a tiny 1 MONTH OLD!! Beagle mix puppy. Im not exaggerating the vet confirmed he was a little over a month old. He had to have been dumped. We looked for an owner just in case he wandered from his yard(unlikely at that age) and never found one, nobody was looking for him. And of course we couldn't take in another dog so we just decided to keep him long enough to find him a home keep him safe an get him healthy. We named him Crash (Crash Bandicoot Inglis) "cash" or "puppy cash" for short. He was hospitalized twice in the middle of the night for severe allergic reactions in the first couple months (ticks are really bad here for a few reasons, our neighbor sold his wooded land and the city leveled the wooded areas for gas wells so all tge tickd moved into our yards, and people leaving their poor dogs outside 24/7 have really made the ticks unbearable). It was pricey to hospitalize him but ofcourse worth it to save him. He eouldnt gave made it on his own, poor littlr guy was so sick, i never left the vet the whole time he was there and tgey let me bring hus teddy and blanket back to him. He was still too young for Bravecto so all we could do was baths and keep him in except to pee an poo which is why he got sick more than once. But now that he tskes bravecto he has been healthy. Bravecto is expensive but its the only thing that really works and it lasts 3 months(plus his brother takes lots of exoensive medicine since the shelter fixed him to early which is why I thought we couldn't afford another puppy. Lol sorry ill try to stay on topic). At that point I was still telling the vets he was just with us temporarily and I believed it lol. Anyways back to having dogs my whole life, I've had plenty dogs but I've NEVER had a Beagle......what a handful. He is constantly getting into trouble and instigating rough play with his brothers who are 3x his size lol. But then he tires himself out or night comes and he's ready to cuddle. If I'm home and he's sleeping he's sleeping in my lap. If I'm in bed sleeping next to my girlfriend he is cuddled between us. At first he would get as close as he possibly could to me then fall asleep but now he's happy just resting his head on me. If I get up for a mid night snack which I sadly do often lol then Crash follows me into the living room where he jumps up to "our" spot on the couch while I'm in the kitchen. Then when I head back to bed crash races ahead of me and jumps on the bed where he knows I'm about to be with a look on his face like "Oh funny seeing you here, guess we will have to cuddle and share the pillow". I've never chosen a small dog for a pet but Crash has completly changed my mind about beagles/smaller dogs, Beagles have all the love of a bigger dog sometimes more and definently more energy lol until they are tired then it's lights out. I love all 3 of my boys. I've taken in many strays before Crash and helped them get healthy then taken them to the shelter to be adopted (hardest thing in the world to do and I still feel the heartbreak of dropping off each dog). But I always check in on them and they've all been adopted. I think I kept Crash also because one of those strays was a Beagle mix who was the sweetest puppy ever. But we just couldn't afford another dog at the time and I knew if I kept him more than a few days it would be cruel to drop him at the shelter once ge was bonded even more to us. Dropping him of was one of the saddest things I've ever done. So when Crash came to us and after having almost lost him there was no way I could drop him at the shelter. I feel still horrible about dropping the other beagle mix we had named Bleu "ba-lou" at the shelter. He was quickly adopted but a few months later back at the shelter cause once again his "forever" family let him down. But I never knew he ended up back there till much later. If I had known I would have adopted him in a heartbeat. Back then the shelter was run by other people who were really shitty and wouldn't disclose info(our lab was a rescue from there, they had fixed him too young which has had terrible consequences health wise). But they are much better now and all the tech's are very nice and sympathetic to what I went through with the old owners/staff that's why I bring stays there again. The tech's there now will show me the computer screen when I ask what happened to various strays I bring in. Anyways Bleu was adopted again and this time he didn't come back to the shelter. If he ever does though I won't let him stay. Even if 4 dogs will be chaos they will all be loved and fed well with a dad who spoils them and unlike the rest of the neighborhood dogs they will all be inside dogs. Safe inside from the heat fleas and ticks that have become abundant ever since they levelled the woods behind my house for the gas wells. Anyways I'm rambling. Beagles are amazing dogs, that was my point lol.
I've just come across your channel and stayed, 50% for Oliver and the other half for his human. It's his never ending reassuring words and affirmative tone I so desperately needed but never had for my inner child LOL
Wow! I never saw this. Just watched it 2x. All this time I thought Oliver was mellow & obedient all the time. Every second of this is fun. I love the staircase & caos & music.
After raising three beagles, every time his little nose hit the carpet my thought was “ooooo, he might be looking for a place to pee.” Gets on third stair and squats. *facepalm* Beagles!! 😂😍
Delightful wee dog, glad to see this happy wee soul learning while enjoying all in his life. So wonderful knowing he's been given the chance to know love during his time spent here on earth. A very lucky or fortunate wee dog to have you as his guardian... because as we all know, this world full of hidden evil people who are turning earth into such an unsafe & very dangerous place for animals to be.😢
The beginning of the video showing you picking out Oliver and his first ride home brought tears to my eyes. We are a Beagle family too. These are very special dogs. I see myself always owning one. Long live Oliver!
I get so much joy watching Oliver. I had to say goodbye a month ago to my beagle Dixie at age 13. Beagles are definitely my favorite breed. Oliver is a beautiful representative of the breed.
Beagles are the most precious dogs... I had 1 in 03 he passed in 2018... A neighbor gave him to me.. He had gotten old.. My first dog... It broke me and my family heart.. He touched so many lives.. He will never be forgotten..
Oh, he's lovely! ♥ I've had 2 Beagles myself, Beau & Banjer but they died of old age about two years ago. Now I'm in love with my adopted American Stafford/Pitbull-mix, but I still love everything about Beagles as well. There's only one thing better then a Beagle....that's 2 Beagles....or 3 Beagle's....or.... ☺ Keep bouncing Oliver! You are absolutely gorgeous! ♥♥♥
He is so fun to watch! Beagles are so cute and lovable...and crazy! I miss mine so much! But too old to get another one - I cant keep up. So i get to enjoy Oliver ! Thanks so much for posting!
Makes me miss my dog Snoopy all the more. Outside of the fact that he NEVER wanted to stay outside for more than 5 minutes without me being outside with him (would bark incessantly otherwise until I came to him), he was undeniably the best dog ever. He hated be in a crate though. Wanted to sleep in the room with me. Miss him something fierce...
No wonder Charles Schulz created Snoopy as a beagle. For me, they're simply the most heart-meltingly cute of all breeds. And good ol' Oliver here is the embodiment of everything good about beagles. Love you so much Oliver. Thanks for making this pandemic that much less of a horrible situation by coming to our lives even if only via your videos. You are a God-send. God bless you and your Dad.🐶
I had Daisy the beagles. She was south me for 14 yrs,and passed away on Christmas Day 2001 .I cried so bad, I hyper ventilated. I still miss her. Her favorite toy was her Balls. She would get into so much trouble over her Balls. She actually stuck her neck under our 6 ft. Fence, and hurt her neck trying to get her ball that rolled under it. She was put on medication. But I love and miss her so much. Give all the love you can to Oliver. He will always Love you back.
My baby (my doggo) grew up so fast! I can’t believe he was that small before. He is probably the cutest thing in the world he is such a happy doggo. I love him so much! I’m a proud puppy mommy❤️🐶
I lost my beloved beagle two years ago. He was 19 years old. Twenty years ago, I didn't have any recording equipment, so there are no videos of my dog's puppy age. Watching Oliver's videos, I remembered my happy days with my dog, laughed a lot, and wept happy tears. Thanks for sharing beautiful videos. Beagle is a really wonderful dog. They are bright and fun, yet have some immense mystery. I wish Oliver and his family will have a long long and enjoyable life!!💖💖💖
There is indeed something mysterious about Beagles. The are funny, gentle, likeable, social and sweet. But still, there's this other thing where I can never find the words for. Keep on thinking of your Beagle, and he will still be with you. :-)
