    I loved this broadcast. This speaks to me and for this reason there are many things I have put aside and through Jesus have repented of and choose not to participate in. I have dressed up this season just for fun, but felt out of place while doing it. I feel I was lead to this podcast to answer those questions and to rectify it once and for all. I listened to both sides of the spirit argument and I personally do not believe our dead relatives communicate with us because they are basically on pause while in the grave until Jesus returns. The voices we hear most likely are not of God and most likely like Angela, lead us down a rabbit hole to Spiritualism that is NOT of Christ.

    • @matthewarnold5531
      @matthewarnold5531 8 місяців тому +1

      Who told you they're on pause in the grave? Not the Bible. Read Matthew 17:3; Revelation 6:8-10, 1 Peter 3:18-4:6... When they tell you that the Bible says the dead sleep, it's a beautiful metaphor for physical death - 1. To the observer, the sleeper still exists and 2. To the observer, they cannot enter into the experiences that the sleeper is having, because they're in the dream state. Just like the dead still exist and their experiences are inaccessible to the physically alive generally.
      And the things which lead to Spiritualism is the Church having a poor theology of the dead which cannot cope with after death communications from them, demonizing people's experiences of them. After WW1 / 2, loads of people were having after death communications from their deceased loved ones who died in fields far away. The Church ministers were either ignoring them, psychologising them, or demonizing them. And so they went to the Spiritualist Churches and increased their numbers. Expect the same thing again with so many post Covid after death communications, and a Church stuck in 500 year old anti afterlife Reformation theology. The rest of the Christian Church gets this stuff better than us protestants, because we a priori don't allow an active afterlife, and read into the Bible what our itching ears want to hear.

    Halloween is one of the best time of the year for Christians ENGAGE with those around them. Why not “light up the night” in your neighborhood, even if it means just sitting out front on a lawn chair, handing out candy, maybe age appropriate tracts, and praying for the people in your community. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21)

      I prefer this. I think drawing the curtains and turning off the lights is creepy. We used to NOT dress up or go to haunted houses or decorate creepily. We handed out candy and church invites many years. Wish we'd bought tracks. But this is different than proactively putting on witch costumes and going to haunted houses and going out trick or treating. In college, our church young adults group went out Reverse Trick or Treating. We knocked on the doors and yelled REVERSE TRICK OR TREAT! Then we'd give them bags of candy and tracts.

      You'll find crystals are used in the Bible, from the 12 crystals in the high priest's ephod (breastplate) to the crystal foundations of the heavenly kingdom. Crystals are even used in computing to help the processors keep everything in sync (quartz). As with anything, the intention of their use is the key. If crystals are being used because of their beauty and as a reflection of the glory of their Creator, then there's nothing harmful in having them on one's shelves. If one is using them for divination purposes, then that's another issue. It's all about who gets the glory with these things - God or humans?

    It's not just about how you feel. The issue is there are external beings involved. They are not departed human spirits but the fallen angels of Revelation chapter 12. The Bible helped shape English and our modern thinking, not the other way around.

    • @matthewarnold5531
      @matthewarnold5531 7 місяців тому

      Unfortunately, it's your modern thinking which has shaped your understanding of demons and unclean spirits.
      Certainly the original writers believed that some fallen sons of God were demons, as gods of the nations, but there are other demons in their understanding that the context of scripture, the Greek Septuagint and New Testament, provides: demons as messengers from those particular gods, and unclean spirits of the departed that are not made clean through Christ. Look up Mark 5 - the guy is possessed by unclean spirits, even though he's called a Demoniac. Read the Bible in the original languages, not post 1973's Exorcist understanding of demons, or even Tertullian's misinformed ideas.
      Having studied the scriptures in contexts they were written, I'm even more convinced we've departed from the faith first received (Jude 3).

Dr. Ken Johnson has unearthed this in his studies of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

    I read Ray Comfort as challenging not only Matt Arnold's hermeneutic, assuming only his popular interpretations are valid, but also questioning the legitimacy of of his conversion experience because you has an alternative interpretation to his own. Surely believers can disagree over issues without resorting to this.
    Angela Ucci articulates a well-worn ex-member narrative, very popular within popular evangelicalism, particularly where so-called "cults" and "the occult" are concerned. This was noted in our 2004 Lausanne issue group paper on new religions from 2004, and in a podcast earlier this year at Multifaith Matters with two scholars I explored why evangelicals are so drawn to alleged "ex-occultist" narratives. This is part of what scholars refer to as the apostate testimony type of narratives, where former members are considered experts in their former religious tradition. I try to remind people that while they may be experts in their personal experience in a tradition, their past participation does not make them an expert in the entire tradition, let alone others under the sweeping and ill-defined categories of "cults" and "the occult." Good to hear Matt Arnold share a different perspective for consideration that moves beyond evangelical and fundamentalist assumptions and stereotypes.
    One final thought, and that is the quality of Premier Unbelievable? has gone down this year for whatever reasons.

      I speak for myself when I say that I believe that we don't go unconscious when we physically die, but pass into the unseen realms of the afterlife, where we continue our journey towards God.
      I believe the scriptures teach that sleep as a metaphor for death is how the awake can not understand the experiences of the person they're watching who is asleep (and still exists).
      I know the earliest Christians believed in the afterlife, where those who have passed over are still able to be with the living as part of the Great Cloud of Witnesses. In fact, the reason why the disciples wouldn't initially open the door to the recently freed Peter and thought it was his "angel" is because angels are messengers from God, and they believed Peter had been executed (as per Herod's killing of James previously, and his intentions for Peter), and it was Peter's spirit that was at the door to deliver the news of his death to them.
      Christianity is replete with many stories of the dead interacting with the living, and it's often those who have a very new Christian tradition and aren't aware of this, who are the most vocal against ghosts and after death communication.
      My website, linked in the description, has many Bible studies on these things, and my new book, The Invisible Dimension (coming out before Christmas) contains much, much more.
      My approach is to be open minded and explore Scripture as though I was one of its original listeners / readers, using the language and understanding of the words as would be understood in their cultural context. It's the best hermeneutic for biblical exegesis.
      Angela is a very young Christian, only 2 years old, so wouldn't be familiar with this kind of thing, as her tradition has told her everything in her past was only ever evil.
      Ray seems only to know a set script and uses that. Going off-piste into contextual Biblical Studies isn't his strength, so I would imagine he couldn't cope with thinking like an ancient Christian.
      Jude 3 tells us to hold to the faith first received, not one that's only 500 years old (Protestantism). I'm a protestant, but recognise the whole Body of Christ is much bigger than the protestant church.
      I can only guess that

      You have referred to Hebrews 12:1 to defend your theory about the afterlife, but if I understand this passage correctly it's connected (therefore) to the previous chapter which is talking about their FAITH not their state after death.
      If you feel your interpretation of some scriptures about the state of the dead is correct, what would you say about Ecclesiastes 9:5,6,10; Psalm 115: 17; Job 14:10-12
      Do you believe angels are manifestation of dead people?

    • @matthewarnold5531
      @matthewarnold5531 8 місяців тому

      @@NanGouM-xp8rn please understand, this isn't *my* interpretation of Scripture alone, but the vast majority of Christianity, which isn't protestant.
      As to your verses of the Bible from the old Testament - the Bible has an evolution of the understanding of the afterlife throughout the old to the new testament. To try and use verses in the old Testament to state what the afterlife is like in the whole of the Bible and thus Christianity isn't a valid methodology.
      Jesus himself says God isn't the God of the dead but of the living, before then going on to giving three long deceased patriarch names, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He speaks with the long deceased Moses on the Mount of Transfiguration, so all are indeed alive in Christ in the unseen realm of the intermediate afterlife.
      As to angels - if we understand angel as a messenger from God, and remember Paul was "welcomed as an angel", we can understand why Peter's appearance at the door of the disciples was understood as his spirit, with the disciples thinking he had been beheaded, like James before him. But in the mind of the biblical writers, the afterlife was "under" this plane of existence, one went "down" into Sheol / Hades, and one was brought "up" from it... they're still on earth, just in the unseen realms. Where else would they go? They don't zip billions of light years to go outside of creation. It's our inherited faulty understanding of the afterlife, post the Reformation, which has screwed our understanding of the Bible as written by the original writers.

    • @matthewarnold5531
      @matthewarnold5531 5 місяців тому

      Correct, you have an initial judgement upon physical death, to determine your starting point in the afterlife. And you could think of the various restorative justices required in the afterlife to include somehow making amends for wrongs in this life. Otherwise there's no point in making the same judgement twice if there's no opportunity for restoration in Christ between then and the final judgement.
      As I said in the video - where in the bible does it say we fly outside the universe when we physically die? Nowhere. In fact, scripture said we're surrounded by those who have passed on, cheering us on, Hebrews 12:1. God isn't the god of the dead, but of the living, of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - all of whom had passed over when those words were spoken by Jesus.

For one, if elohim are gods (Satan is called the evil god of this world, the 1st 2 commandments implies there are other gods as seen in psalms 82, Deut 32 etc), and we can entertain them, thus will talk to them, is there any reason we cant speak to say our guardian angel/god? Also if in war there are such a thing as prisoners of war, such as the nephilim Solomon used to build the temple with, and theyre told what to do, is there something in the occult one can use to extend dominion?

Unlikely. They look totally different from their Christian roots. Be free to celebrate them for what they are truly! But be discerning in how you celebrate them. Are you celebrating them with careful intent that all the details glorify God? Do you give more attention to saint Nicholas on Christmas than Jesus and are you celebrating materialism? Are you celebrating (in the way you are doing it) death, darkness and fear on an evening when you could celebrate the faith of those who have gone before you? Do you actually desire to use it as an opportunity to reach out to an oppressed world with the good news of true freedom?

    • @matthewarnold5531

      It's not so much a celebration of death and darkness, as a celebration of victory over death and darkness. The very kids dressed up in clothes depicting these things are actually alive inside - think upon the metaphor for that, with our physical bodies that decay, but the life inside that will go on due to the work of Christ. That's where the origins of dressing up in these clothes came from... the Church.
      That the Church advocated running away from these things has allowed the world to step in and replace the meanings. You can either give the victory to the consumerist world here, or reclaim and redeem it once more.

As such, his testimony incorporated that he was a Satanist and, as Tolkien's Gandalf character says "Every good story deserves embellishment". He's made such a good living touring around as an "ex Satanist" that it's difficult now for him to admit to the world that he wasn't a Satanist.
      This is exactly the issue I see with Angela. She's been told absolutely everything of her pre-conversion experience was only all evil with nothing at all of any merit in it, and she's started to create a narrative that includes her claiming to have been a witch. I have many genuine witches as friends, and let's say, you know when you're a witch, you don't have to invent a back story which says you were one, but didn't know it at the time. It seems she's gone down a 1980s list of "evil things to repent of", including rock music, etc and picked some to build her testimony up. It's nice money if you can get it, appearing and telling your story, and there's plenty of Christians who love a good ex-[insert other faith path name(s)] story. My fear is that she'll find herself, like John Ramirez, when put under the spotlight of truth discovering by others, appear to just be another storyteller with a story that includes fake elements.... which then causes people to think the rest of your story is suspect, and that the truth of Christ is also suspect.
      Scripture tells us to test everything: Ray Comfort's methodology regarding just firing out thousands of tracts and encouraging others to buy his slightly deceptive money tracts, Angela's narrative, and even my cultural contextual exegesis of Scripture which seeks to read Scripture through the mindset of the original writers.

      Hebrews 11 and 12 tell us that we're surrounded by the Great Cloud of Witnesses. They're not outside of our universe.
      Hades is where *everyone* goes when they die. The original Greek, Hades, meaning "unseen" was the Septuagint translators word chosen for Sheol. Hades is where Jesus went when he died (Acts 2:27,31; Ephesians 4:8-10). He's got the keys of Death and Hades now (revelation 1:18) and will empty it at the final judgement (Revelation 20).
      Re the Rich Man and Lazarus sorry... the first century Pharisees understood all went to Hades for initial judgement (Apocalypse of Zephaniah 6-10), and that there were segregations in Hades that includes the region of the blessed dead known as the Vale (or bosom) of Abraham / Paradise / Third Heaven. So when Jesus says that Lazarus died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side, he's implicitly stating to his original listeners that Lazarus died, went to Hades, was judged righteous, and was carried by the angels across the chasm nobody can cross (unless with angelic escort) to the realm of the righteous... whilst the Rich Man stayed in his region of Hades for further refinement.
      The problem you seem to have is that you're reading the Bible with modern eyes and understandings... but the Bible wasn't written to you, it was written to ancient people in their languages and understandings of the various words. We have to read it like them in order to understand what it is trying to say to them. Read like an ancient biblical writer and reader.
      Oh and though the Bible wasn't written to us modern people, it was written for us, with its message of God's love and redemptive plan being for all people in all times and places.
      I've got biblical studies on all this on the website linked to my name in the description. Check it out, as they're part of my award winning Master's thesis at an Evangelical Methodist college.

If God is telling him these things, and the things are wrong, what does that say about his God, or his claim that the message is from God? Just think about it for a minute.

Please be specific with the 'dishonest tactics' he is using. You are also calling him a fraudulent apologist for Christ but can you please give me an example of who you consider to be a non-fraudulent apologist for Christianity. Tell me a church or pastor you believe is above reproach as well. This will better help me understand where you are coming from. As for the banana video, that was actually brilliant on his part. God gave us creation and creativity. Are you saying we are not allowed to defend the Bible through such means? I'd argue it is actually commanded that we do defend our faith through scripture, 1peter3:15. I'd love to hear your replies my friend so I can get closer to better understanding your point of view. Eccl 9:5-6 “….the dead know nothing , they no longer play a part here on earth” NLT , just because Jesus spoke to Moses and Elijah on the Mt of transfiguration) He is God by the way). Doesn’t mean that we should be talking to the dead. We pray to God and Jesus is the only mediator.

    • @matthewarnold5531
      @matthewarnold5531 8 місяців тому

      @@Jesusfollower77 but you're using a passage of Scripture in Ecclesiastes which is a polemic against necromancy - that's the context. Necromancy is bringing up the dead to divine information from them about the future. This passage isn't saying anything against praying for the departed, which isn't seeking info from them. So you're using the Bible incorrectly to try and prove your point, which isn't a wise use of Scripture. You'll also find the martyrs in the heavenly realms certainly know things, because they knew that they'd not received justice for their martyrdom (Revelation 6:9-11). So you see, using a verse from an earlier time in Hebraic understanding of the afterlife to apply to today completely ignores the evolution of the afterlife realms understanding that had taken place during the intertestamental period, up to the first century Christian beliefs about the afterlife, which includes praying for the departed.
      As to the one mediator between God and humans... We agree, Jesus is the only mediator. However, you're confusing the term with intercessor, which is what humans can do on behalf of others when praying to God for them. I'm sure you're aware of the many passages in Scripture which implore us to "pray for one another" (e.g. James 5:16). I'm also sure that you're in agreement there is only one Body of Christ - which is true for those in and out of the flesh. I'm also sure you're aware of Jesus's teachings that God is not the God of the dead, but of the living, of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (who'd physically died well over 1500 years previously) (Mark 12:26,27). In fact, all are alive in Christ (Luke 20:38). We're also surrounded by a Great Cloud of Witnesses (Hebrews 12:1, which is directly after a roll call of physically dead faithful followers of God in chapter 11). Also, Paul went to paradise and was so completely aware of his existence there that he didn't know whether he was in or out of the physical body (2 Corinthians 12:2-4), and told amazing things, so there's an awareness in the heavenly realms, not like the incorrect use of a Bible passage from an older time, like Ecclesiastes.
      So, if
      1. God is not the God of the dead, but of the living...
      2. All are alive in Christ
      3. We're surrounded by a Great Cloud of Witnesses of the faith
      4. There's only one body of Christ, whether we're in or out of the flesh
      And 5, we're told to pray for one another, then...
      Your understanding of praying for the departed and asking them to pray to God for us is completely unbiblical, and your understanding and usage of the Bible verses you've used in your argument against such a practice are out of context proof texts that are invalid.
      See the link to my site in the description, check out the Articles database, and read through the series on praying for the dead, which looks at the biblical passages where praying for the dead is presented, and what the earliest Christian beliefs and practices of praying for the dead are - (Jude 3 - hold to the faith first received, not one invented 1500 years after Jesus).
      God bless you in the revealing of his word to you.

      Do you really think that happened? It sounds like a story about mental illness. People who couldn't explain what was affecting a person because they didn't know - like mental illness, epilepsy, and other well-known and well-studied ailments - were considered demon-possession. Once people figured out what was wrong, the number of cases of demon possession went down considerably - to none. Oh, you may say there are cases of demon possession today, but you need to show that they are actually possessed by demons. It couldn't be shown then, it was only assumed because they didn't know better. And it can't be shown today. Funny how that works.

Do you take God medicine too, or do you always have that same feeling? I can recommend my God medicine to you - it's over the counter and it might help your God feeling if it gets too intense.
      It's also amazing that the God of the universe fits inside your internal blood pump. And that he chooses to be there. It's a funny place for him to be, with all the blood squishing around. It doesn't seem to be a very good place to hang out. To be honest, I don't think being in my heart is a very reasonable place for Him to be. If He'd like to have a relationship with me, I'd ask him to please not inhabit my organs and instead sit with me on my comfy couch, have a beverage and some nachos, and chat about things. I have many questions for him. Plus we could watch a football game together - he seems to have a natural affinity for football, as a lot of folks thank him for touchdowns and for winning. If the game isn't on, we can just literally sit and talk about the weather. I'm betting he has a LOT to say about that. Or morality. Or why his Son's picture appears on toast sometimes. Or why healing people doesn't include amputees, even though some lizards and sea creatures can do it. Gosh, so many questions for God.
      Here's a question: Am I still saved if instead of inviting God into my heart, which frankly is kind of gross, I invite him onto my couch? For nachos and conversation? And so that I'm not rude, and you seem to know him, what does God drink? Wine? Maybe I just get him a water and he makes his own? I just don't know the social norms here. It's awkward. I'm sure he knows he can just stop by when he's free - I mean, He's God, why would he need or even want an invitation? Just stop by when you are free and not creating things or answering prayers or finding people's car keys or helping football players score. He knows my schedule - heck, he knows all of our schedules because he created them all. I don't know. The door is unlocked and I can make some nachos if he wants. It's not a problem. Happy to do so. I guess it's the least I can do.

    I’m not a big Halloween fan, but I disagree with these folks. They certainly can use Halloween to preach their own message, and that’s fine. My experience is that they don’t need an excuse to preach and evangelize anyway, so Halloween is just another day. Where I really disagree with Ray (and somewhat with Angela) is the supernatural stuff as well as their fear of evil. Ray Comfort may speak about evil and how he spends every day “horrified”, but he himself is a phony, a liar, and a con man who does what he does for money. He has made a living horrifying people and telling them they are going to Hell if they don’t repent. He literally preaches the house is on fire and he has the only solution. That’s a horrible message. And it’s extremely self-serving for Ray as this is how he has made his fortune. It’s more disgusting than any costume or display you will every see on Halloween.

    I have a feeling that Matt Arnold might be studying too many things. I get that he wants to know the truth and to be discerning when studying the scriptures. Proper hermeneutical analysis of the scriptures is important because all sorts of false beliefs can come out of a poor understanding of what the authors intended. But I think it’s conflicted with our experiences. Maybe he had an experience and was drawn into the paranormal investigation world. I’ve had my experience with a spirit but I can’t imagine becoming an expert in explaining what it was. He’s got an unbiblical view on spirits. He believes in something that is not practiced in any place in the Bible. Nobody prays to the dead in the Bible! That’s the occult. It’s pagan beliefs being injected into the scriptures. Many expressions are used in the Bible which are in context to the time. Just because the word demon was used in those times as a human spirit doesn’t mean that is what they meant. As we have heard he thinks there are errors in the Bible. Maybe those errors are just things he doesn’t agree with and will not accept? I don’t know but that’s what I can hear from the way he communicates. I think he’s just dealing with loss but it’s just not biblical. I think he’s just holding onto this belief because he’s emotionally motivated to. He’s coming off as being intellectual about this whole thing but he’s really dealing with mourning. I’m saddened to hear that he’s praying for his mother who already passed. I’m saddened for anyone who has lost a loved one. It’s hard to imagine what has happened to them in eternity. I’m sorry to hear the pain in his eyes and voice. He needs healing and true understanding to come through this loss. I think it comes down to how he believes who God is. It comes down to everyone’s view on God and sometimes it’s a preference that is comfortable to us which is an idol.

      1. Study to show yourself approved of God.
      2. Add knowledge to our faith
      3. That it's the glory of God to conceal a matter, and the glory of kings to reveal it.
      4. Break open the ancient wells
      5. Hold to the faith first received.
      If you are going to understand Scripture as first revealed, you need to think like its ancient writers, its ancient readers.
      And if you're saddened by me praying for my mother, then give your theology a wobble... the earliest Christians and Jews prayed for the dead... that you're saddened about someone praying for a member of the one Body our Christ reveals much about how little you know what prayer actually is. Check out the praying for the dead series on Ghosts, ghouls and God, the website, and my upcoming book "The Invisible Dimension". You'll discover just how modern Christianity has been robbed of much of its original traditions and where in the Scripture you'll find praying for the dead.
      Praying for the dead certainly isn't occult - and that you've actually said that reveals just how little you know of Christian Church history and even the occult itself. What you're doing is using a word you don't really understand, but it's a bogey word designed to instil fear into readers so they are misinformed about praying for the dead. Stop bearing false witness on these things, it's a sin.

    No, it's definitely not harmless fun. Like many other holidays it's of pagan origin and involves violence, horror, spiritism, demons, evil, & we know this originates from Satan the devil.
    "Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. No. Halloween does not involve violence. I'll give you horror, and sometimes demons and evil are associated with the horror genre. But there is no violence inherent in Halloween, unless someone chooses to be violent. And people do that every day - Halloween is not special in that respect.
      If you are worried about spiritualism, then keep in mind that you are a Christian, and that's a very spiritual religion. And you believe that Satan is real. I don't. It's made up. Satan hardly shows up in the Bible, and the modern view and understanding of Satan is from art and literature, and not from reality.
      I don't think you realize that just like Christmas, Halloween is a made-up holiday whose current representation in the US and many countries is commercial in nature. It represents basically nothing of its origin nor does it mean or manifest anything beyond what people decide to put into it. It's mostly make-believe based on loose family traditions and modern day wealth and comfort. Whether it's fun or not, that's up to the individual. I would have my kids avoid your house for Halloween. The religious folk said Jesus was nuts too, so I'll take that as a compliment.
      You know, when people quote Hebrews 9:27, they don't understand that it's only part of a bigger, comparative sentence, and not a slam dunk they think it is against ghosts as human spirits.
      For one thing, there's no "the" definite article for judgement in the Greek of that verse, so it's not the Final Judgement being spoken of there. In fact, why have a Final Judgment if there's only one judgement. There's an initial judgement when we die (As seen by those experiencing a near- death experience, who are judged and discover what their actions throughout life have been doing to others). But the earliest Christians wrote about the initial judgement as something which determines our initial starting point in the afterlife (in fact, Lazarus in Luke 16 would have had this and been judged righteous, so was carried by the angels to paradise).
      Also there's scope for an initial judgement meaning one is not permitted to move on until restorative justice has been accomplished. Remember, the martyrs under the throne of God were crying for justice before they were placated by God. What of those who aren't placated? And remember, Abel's blood cried from the ground for justice at his being murdered.
      I've written on Hebrews 9:27 on my website which is linked above, and it shows why it's a poor proof text to use against ghosts and an active afterlife.
      I've also, as a protestant, written about prayer for the dead, why it's biblical, an early Christian practice, and why you've probably inadvertently prayed for the dead without realising it. 😊

      I recommend you look up the account of 19th century Lutheran pastor, Johannes Blumhardt and his exorcism of Gottliebin Dittus, who was possessed by spirits of the dead, and non human spirits.
      Remember, read the Bible through the eyes of the original writers, not the modern understanding which really isn't biblical.

    Personally as a Christ centred Christian Halloween leaves me cold. It may have it's origin in Christianity with thanksgiving etc but today that has been forgotten. The whole theme, of what is to scare you says it all. Strange that it promotes death rather than life. Having moved on from Evangelical Fundementalism with its lieralistic interpretations I have less concern for the so called unsaved as our speakers here. Orthodoxy with its understanding of Apokatastasis, and some what less so Roman Catholicism with Pergotary, indicates that God IN Jesus on the cross reconciles ALL of creation to Himself after His story is cocluded. Death is also defeated and thus being saved for myself is an awakening to Jesus's Kingdom of God amongst us in our ignorance (wilful or otherwise) NOW. For those who never are " born again?" Yes there will be the hell of regret of having taken God's name (I AM) in vain upon seeing the face of God's refining Love. But as God is sovereign with the attributes of unrelenting love INFINITE grace and mercy ALL will be reconcilled. This surely takes the pressure of Evangelicals in their sincere and zealous works being saviors. Love thy neighbour by shining Christ's light within. Less talk debating etc and more walk in the WAY of Faith Hope and Love. Dear brethren I leave you this Bible verse which spoke volumes to one who is absolutely a nobody in the eyes of the world. It will relieve you of much angst of hell eternal torment for those who chose to ignore you.

So, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church, guided by the Holy Spirit, that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century, just 75 years AFTER the council of Nicaea which began the Trinitarian doctrine, and then with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved these scriptures by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us, show us, who did?
