This was great As a left handed, self taught knitter I was doing a combination and never really thought about it. When doing complete stitches I would often get twisted stitches. You explains this and demonstrated so well, it makes so much sense to me now. Thank you
This was more helpful than other sources on the topic but I'm still confused... What makes kitting Easter or western? The clockwise or counterclockwise way to mount the stitches? or the way to poke the needle in the stitch? Or both? I'm asking because in the first row you poke all the stitches like continental but in the next row not... So which combination is which? 😵
In my experience, yarn forward simply means moving the working yarn forward between the needles in order either to be ready for a purl stitch or to make an increase.
Please take this comment in the spirit it was intended to: -black needles -variegated yarn -absolutely unnecessary dark purple swatch background These don’t make for a clear and enjoyable tutorial. They make for a frustrating one. I searched for eastern vs western knitting. This video was addressing the topic I was interested in. But, the presentation left much to be desired. Next time, please use larger needles. Thicker, bright, solid color yarn. And, white background. Thank you.
Thank you for your honest critique. I’m no videographer, so hearing from my viewers what works and what doesn’t work is very valuable to me. I will continue to try to improve the quality of my videos.
