    I’d like to know how close these wet-dry vacs/power mops get to base boards, walls and cabinets. I like the concept of this emerging category but if they only get within 0.5 - 1” of the perpendicular surfaces to the floors, you’ll have to still get down on the floor and manually clean that void. That is an absolute deal breaker for me.

      The Hizero gets closer to the edges than any of the other similar mops.

    To anyone considering the purchase of this mop, be aware that the support in the US isn't well established. The customer service contact is a vacuum shop in Billings Montana. I purchased this machine in March 2019 and it stopped working recently. It has had very little use. I have contacted US "customer support" and will let this group know how it works out. It might well be fine, but it's a little disconcerting that US support for this expensive machine is an independent vacuum shop in Billings Montana. More will be revealed.
    22-Aug-19 - Update: If you buy from a local dealer, they should service. I was able to return to one of 3 service centers and the turned it around really fast. Don't know what was wrong with it yet. The repaired machine is "in the mail". So it appears that servicing the machine is not currently an issue. I will update once the machine is received with root cause and status of repaired machine.
    Update - The machine was returned quickly and the issue was that it had lost prime. When I asked how to prime it in case it recurred, I was told 'check youtube'. Of course, I had already checked youtube before even contacting customer service and checked it again, but found nothing for how to prime it. When I inquired again, I got no reply.
    2022 Update - The machine has been returned for service 3 times and I've had several discussions with customer service to fix it without returning it. I thought I had all the undocumented tricks down and the bugs worked out, but the last time I attempted to use it, the brush roller wouldn't turn. This machine has had very little use and excellent care. I've only used distilled water and Hizero cleaner in it and it's taken apart, cleaned, and allowed to fully dry after every use. It just has not been reliable or a good experience for me. I'm done with this one. It's broken more often than it's working. Bother.

      I think it would be better to sweep floor then buy a steam mop that would disinfect surface. Afterwards the moo head can go in washer

    • @bytor99999
      @bytor99999 4 роки тому +2

      @@CandycaneBeyond I have a steam mop and it takes so long to sweep/vacuum first, then use the steam mop. And always having to put the pads in the washing machine makes it so that I never use the steam mop because it is such a hassle. The steam mop is also hard to push across the floor, so it takes more time as well. I think the steam mop does a good job of cleaning our floors, but I am looking for something much faster and simpler and less work to clean up.

      @@justinwang3427 After the third time, it worked. But it is a fussy machine. Sometimes it loses prime and shuts off or it doesn't pick up the water it puts down. The company is still around and they have a new model, so perhaps it's improved. All that said, when it does work, it does a decent job.

    I saw the hizero about a year ago and thought the concept was gimmicky but after seeing it do well in the tests I got one and can say I'm an electric mop convert. I thought my floors where clean using an Electrolux floor pro and mopping twice with a microfiber mop but hizero put my old cleaning ways to shame and my floors look better and shinier than they have in years.

    Please do a review of the Quantum X Upright. It's a regular vacuum, but filters the dirt through water, so you can also use it to clean up wet messes. This would eliminating the need for a special device. That sounds pretty awesome to me.
    However, I'd rather not buy it without seeing at least one good review (currently, there are a couple of shopping channel reviews). Please, can you help a guy out?

    The question I have about it and cannot find anywhere is how well does it clean grout lines? There seems to be silence on this issue. It doesn’t look like it would even get into the grout line because the sponge roller cannot expand. It’s why I switched to the Crosswave from the Hoover Floormate (and ironically Hoover has redesigned their Floormate to copy the Crosswave).

    • @CandycaneBeyond

    So we bought the hizero recently and did my first clean today with it. Here are some points IMO
    1- the tanks are definitely too small
    2- the roller misses spots which means going over an area multiple times in different directions to clean it.
    3- the two modes is not high/low power, it’s actually more/less water use
    4- it’s very manoeuvrable which is great
    5- lots of proprietary consumables to consider as part of Total cost of ownership, this is a very expensive machine to buy and to keep running
    6- I’m talking extremely expensive
    overall disappointed

    As a nerd who are not really into house cleaning i bought this thinking i could save time on my "sometimes but not always cleaning once a week routine" I bought it based reviews from this channel.
    And IT SUUUUUUCCKS!!! I feel you cheated me into buying this! D-:<
    I cant see how this is in any way a great product, i can clean way more efficient with a normal mop. Spots that takes a couple of swipes with a swiffer-like mop takes 10-20swipes with the hizero, and things like dried up ketchup, forget it, you still need the swiffer out the closet making the hizero utter pointless.
    Getting it in the charger base seems a pain, and requires several tries for me, it just dont click right in as good design should.
    The mops roll seems to dry up on one side when not used and it need to be re-soaked to be usable making the Hizero USELESS to be used for cleaning up spills.
    The roll should be going atleats 10x faster to get any kind of proper scrub going.
    It might be the best in class but is still the WORST cleaning tool i ever tried.

    • @db4a
      @db4a 4 роки тому

      Pleplerhep You can stick with that poor man’s mop the Swiffer. I’ll stick with the more impressive wet/dry vac/mop HIZERO. I now enjoy mopping my floors at least once a week as I’m vacuuming them at the same time. And it works well for spills and cleanup is easy too.

    Hi. Just purchased a Hizero Bionic mop using your affiliate link and it arrived today. Few questions.
    Have you tried using Crosswave solution? If so, what’s the dilution guide? I tried a little but it seemed foamy. Any other detergent recommendations?
    Also I’m a little confused as to how solution is picked up and put down? It was easier with my Crosswave because I controlled the solution using the trigger..
    The only thing I’ve noticed that bugs me is that on our hand scrapped handwoods, I have to approach it straight on. If I do it from the sides, it seems to get “caught “ on the ridges and make a scraping sounds whereas the Crosswave didn’t.
    Thanks! Love the video btw!

    • @MarkAgueVacuums
      @MarkAgueVacuums 5 років тому

      Hizero makes their own solution but it works really well with tap water. there is a metal grate that water is pumped through and an upper slotted squeegee that dirty water is pulled through. I get the scraping sounds too but its just the squeegee on the floor and nothing seems any worse for the wear because of it.
