As a Nigerian, I can proudly say I'm proud of you for this video. Fufu is a very common meal here and I'm so glad to see yours came out so beautifully. You should visit Nigeria if you can.
Seriously? I'm not really a fan of fufu so I know next to nothing about it but it's good to know we have more in common with our other African brothers
@@thespylezCC oh ok, thank you. A lot of Malayalis call him Malayali when he's Sri Lankan, so I thought OP was doing the same. Some Malayalis don't even listen when we say he's Sri Lankan, they say we're wrong 😅😂

Here in Ghana, we add plantain. Usually,it's prepared the manual way. Boiling the cassava and plantain till soft then pounding it. First plantain is pounded, then cassava, then they are pounded together. Here in Ghana, it is eaten with soup. Any soup. It's delicious.
I've heard Africans talk about fufu a lot - I feel like that's the only food they talk about 😅🤣 Sri Lanka is so beautiful - I'll hopefully be going to Sri Lanka this year 😍😍😍
I have never come across of that dish name and seeing your expression on your face shows how delicious it is. I love my grandma's spicy sambal belacan cassavas with anchovies they're simply out of this world. 👌👍
It's an incredibly yummy dish. When I was in Nigeria, I had the pleasure of tasting this delicious food, which happens to be a staple in their cuisine.
I always thought this plant was native to Brazil only. We learned how to cultivate and use it from the native people who lived in this land way before us. It has different names around here like mandioca/aipim/macaxeira. It's used in a lot of different ways, it can be simply cooked or fried like a normal potato, it can be used to make sagu, more well known as tapioca pearls and the tapioca flour which we eat kinda like a tortilla, but it's used as well in the making of cakes and pies. Its a very versatile plant.
We eat it here too. In Sri Lanka. We eat it with coconut sambal, onion and spicy pasta too .... We make currys and fries too. So it's common dish in Sri Lanka
