The lyrics of songs on their debut cd follow this Bi11lie storyline more or less, but I'm not sure whether that's a good idea to continue in the long run.
I'm not usually a big fan of group lore, mythology and mysterious storylines as a gimmick for getting fans (only DREAMCATCHER ever pulled this off well IMO plus they had great music. Elsewhere I absolutely hate that Kwangya / ae nonsense of another group whose company claims them to have twice as many 'members' as there are humans visible onstage).
The whole Bi11lie storyline could eventually just end up being a time waster IMO, but I'm loving their music so far unlike some other groups that have relied on gimmicks while releasing mediocre songs. Part of the Billlie Love mystery storyline does bear a vague passing resemblance (sans the Victorian era misogyny) to an old cult classic novel and 1975 Australian film Picnic at Hanging Rock by Peter Weir (I bought the Criterion Collection Blu-ray of years ago before the reportedly mediocre miniseries remake existed).
Billlie is a group that I'll definitely keep an eye on, hoping future albums will be just as good. I mostly ignore the little quotes and pseudo storyline stuff of one of my favorite groups GWSN 공원소녀 (known for their very good b-sides, several with dance practices), so I'll probably do the same with this new group as long as the music quality continues.
