OMG! Well I defintely "haven't a clue" because I'd never even heard of, much less heard this brilliant radio program before. It's amazing! Looking forward to listening to every episode. Thank you SO MUCH. (Liked and Subscribed)
Wait till you find the old ones, with Humphrey Littleton hosting. Hearing his vile double entendres about the delightful Samantha, or Lionel Blair used to make me cackle aloud.
@CW Brooks More brit humour for you: When the BBC radio does not air ISorryIHAClue, they put on another vetetan show called "Just a Minute": features comedians competitively attempting to speak for 60seconds without hesitation, repetition nor deviation, but with other comedians ready to pounce when they spot an error. Verbal gymnastics played with the deadly politeness of a game of cricket. Often has the same "contestants" as the guests who appear on ISorryIHAClue. JaM stars tje acerbically witty Paul Merton, who also does BBC tv's "Have I got News for You" , which in turn exists to fund a British satirical magazine, edited by HIGNFY's Ian Hislop, called "Private Eye" (which prints westminster and english and british humour whilst exposing real governmental error, duplicity and cluelessness). JaM, HIGNFY and Private Eye may all amuse you too.
Exactly Em! And, to be honest, it’s not as if you can’t work it out fairly easily by listening to high quality play. As they say, a lifetime to learn and a minute to master… I think I have that right…
@@Motty1066 Well, I know in theory that is true under most circumstances. But given Adrian was under 15 years 8 months and a day, the inverted diagonals won’t be in play as he would have been a Sub-regulated Minor. I mean, we do have to protect young players after all!
@@danleighton The thing about the nippers is that they're constantly in nip. Impractical to play Mornington Crescent with them for that reason, provided that we're playing by the standard modern rules.
Its always bittersweet listening to these when the narvellous Tim BT is no longer with us, his singing will go down in the annals of ear disturbance & his wit will be invaluable & in time, valuable Gid Bliss him !
Oh dear, Ep2 Sound Charades, no Lionel Blair gay joke. Must be about the time he started getting pissy. Nevertheless, great to have the upload so thanks and sorry for complaining. I don't know what came over me. (Probably Lionel.)
Y'know whether or not you like or dislike potty mouth & the toilet humour of Tony Hawkes you cannot deny the mans talent in wit or music hes unbeatable
That Modern major general might insist that the Mad World tune is by Britain's Roland Orzabal of Tears for Fears (not "by Gary Joules", who merely sang one of many a cover version)
Brilliant! Jack’s chairmanship is always brilliant. Tim Brook-Tailor is sorely missed.
The best line up always included Cryer, TBT and Graeme Garden. Beautiful stuff.
Not forgetting Willie Rushton.
Tony Hawks, Gangnam Style, laughed till the tears ran
A fantastic treat.ll Laughed so much. Thank you. 😄
Brilliant as usual
That might be the best singing I've ever heard from Stephen Fry 🙂

I envy you for getting to discover it for the first time. You're going to have so much great stuff to listen to :)

@@hoorooblu thank you for the recommendation!
Always loved the fact that the books about Adrian Mole aged 13 and three quarters, he wrote to Radio 4 asking for the rules to Mornington Crescent 🤗
Should have saved up to buy Stovold's Concise Rules and Rulings available at all good bookshops

As long as you avoided the inverted diagonals

Pure, mindless pleasure
Mindless? I find it fills the requirement of that modern thing, mindfulness.
Thanks again for bringing some much needed mirth during lockdown.
To my
I LOVE these
Thank you for bringing the mirth.
Thank you for brining the myrrh.

And now Barry Cryer. I was the cryer that day
I miss Humphrey....he was wonderful.
If you won't catch her in fur, but rather in plant-based clothing, surely it would have been worth a stab at "Catch Her In the Rye"...

Did he get pissy? Pity if he did, I bet it is the only time he gets mentioned these days...
@@Walls2008 Well, what did he expect after behaving like a camp old queen for most of his career! I can say that - I am one!!!

Lol Roger, nice one 😂😂😂♥️
Humph did mention that Lionel had mood swings while he was in panto. Feeling happy one minute and coming over grumpy the next.

The world is missing Victoria Wood.

Absolutely. What a tragic loss of humanity and talent.
I am really looking forward to her episodes.
90% pay cut? No wonder Carol was cranky. Then again 10% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
Very amusing
'And 32 change, thank you' !!!

Churchill tank actually. But that doesn't have quite the same stanza for wa..

Recently heard them sing along to Eternal Flame, by Atomic Kitten. WTF? Have they never heard of The Bangles?
37:09 Baz I think you might have said "quim" here lmao
Thumbs up if the Truman Show brought you here
Whos that?
How?
Yeah, there's nothing in the Truman Show about ISIHAC. Compared with the Truman Show, ISIHAC is outrageously imaginative, witty and subversive.
Well Trueman didn't initially have a clue....
What???
👍😂👍!
