Very nice clean up job, especially with the tools available. Takes a lot of patience. If you can find rubber feet for it, that will keep it from scratching up your floor or table.
In a lifetime I've owned half a dozen cantilevered toolboxes. Everyone of them self destructed after about 6 months of transporting tools to job sites . The other thing I found is that when you pack enough tools for the job, you can't lift the thing. Good job , though , on the restoration! Stavros
Hey, I just wanted to jump in here and let you know I enjoyed the video. I have one that is as bad if not worse than the one you have. I want to restore it soon, I was very anxious to see how you did it. It seemed to be a very old box as is mine and wa curious how you removed the rust..I usually use The magic juice Evapo rust but it would take too much of it to soak. it. I may use the battery charger and soda method I cant remember what it's called but it would be cheap which I am. Grea video and the box looks great.
I put it in a bucket with water and a bit of hydrochloric ácid and let it for a day. If u wanted to do that please be careful wear mask and glasses for eye protection.
I’ve a toolbox just like that, the before version obviously. Probably going to stay like that too, but I can dream the fairies 🧚♀️ will come along some night and make it like your final product. Nice job 👍🏻
Hydrochloric acid partly removes rust but also forms iron chloride that has the same problems. The best way to remove rust is to brush it with a wire brush that eliminates unstable crusts and then treat the remaining pitted rust (that was along all of the inside corners and edging of the tool box) with phosphoric acid. It's cheap and will last a long time.
Nice, though I'm worried that you may haver thrown out these parts at 1:48. You never know, in 20 years you may be looking for a couple broken pieces of plastic identical to these and will regret not keeping them 😆
Hey brother, not sure it's asmr, had to really crank the volume for any effect. My .02 cents :) It turned out just fine as you mention in the description. Function over form!
The title should probably say "rust-damaged" but I'm not entirely sure. Don't worry about it my native language is English and I still don't say it right all the time😂. Great content as always!
Hey guys do you like the vídeo?
Please don’t forget to leave a like and Subscribe! It help me a lot!

Well done! Back to being a useful box.
Thanks Mitch!

Its very nice to know that! Thank you so much! 💗
I would put plastic washers between the metals to assist with the leverage when opening closing.

I have the exact same one, in grey and rust

I have a bigger version. It has three layers of trays rather than two and is shaped like a barn.
Thanks Phillip! ❤️
Job well done, mate!!
Thanks Nightflyer! ❤️
Great job!!!
Thanks Colin! ❤️
The pink was very red, I would have liked seeing it a little more pastel XD
I really thinked in paint with pink but, some subscribers probably will hate me for that 😆😆😆

Removing the paint alone was really time consuming, nice restoration
Onde 1:
I don't know why but sometimes these box get awfully rusty by the time.
Correction: One 1...
Yep! This step took me some good time. Thanks One1!
@@aridemedina8770 maybe because the paint not good enough I think
You were very brave as I would have left it as too far gone. Nice job.
Thanks Tony! ❤️
Great job mate. I fully enjoyed it. 👍🇦🇺
Thank you so much! ❤️
Já me inscrevi! Grande abraço
Muito obrigado pela ajuda Ridi! ❤️

I wire brushed all the parts before paint, but thanks for the tip. And thanks for Watching! ❤️
Now, you just need a vintage key lock to complete the project.
Muito bom !
Obrigado Pérsio! ❤️
A media blaster would cut the work in half.
In the furure I'll bought a sandblaster 😉
Caprichoso!
Muito obrigado Marcie! ❤️

Is everything I wanted hehe'
Thanks John! ❤️
😆oh~great's‼️
Thanks! ❤️

Hehe' 😉
What was used for the lining at 12.00mins?
Rubber EVA

Thanks Doc! Next time I'll make a better sound.
Excelente!

Hello what strength acid did you use? Great project btw😎
Hydrochloric acid.
