      Process performance (Pp, Ppk) index is an estimate of the process capability study.
      Both are same formula! Implementation of Cp, Cpk and Pp, Ppk will be defer!
      👉Cp,Cpk will be used for normal parameteric distribution
      👉Pp, Ppk will be used for non parameteric distribution

    can we use this method to determine optimum prices are paid for when purchasing rates in bulk, for example, freight/shipping rates (that varies 365 days due to fuel prices, other factors)? and comparing different vendor's prices too?

      You can't use this method for varying specifications! There must be same specification for all samples. Example: for fuel rate- it varies day by day. So you have to change specifications in regular period, so it is touch! You can analyse Cp with one particular day with fuel rate and check capability! That is possible. For further more clarification, you can reach us.
