Excellent eye opener !!! Thank you very much for this video. I am currently working towards career transition as a Agile BA. I did Agile Bus Analyst certification. Apart from that I cleared my PSM/PSPO1. Since I dont have solid BA exp from the relevant domain, Iam unable to switch over and not getting interview calls aswell. Iam planning to do internship related to Agile BA. Will you be able to assist.

Hi,
Thank you very much.
From the Course era or udemy websites, if I do some courses on process management, agile, power BI....it can also help right?
Yes that would definitely help. Also the ECBA certification from IIBA would be good.
Hi Muthu, Thank you for creating such a simple and easy-to-follow video. I really appreciate the clarity and detail you provide. Would you be able to share the BABOK guide? Thanks again!
Hi Babu George - So glad you found this useful. I've provided a link to the BABOK guide in the description section of this video. All the best!

Hi sir, Thanks for taking your time to clearly explain the career path I've been thinking about for a long time. Could you please share the BABOK guide with me ?
Hi - please could you share your email?
Bro a great content. I'm confused in the roles that are played by the BA in the industry and I am a final year btech student and now I got the clarity in the BA domain.
And can you please make a content related to entry level BA and how to get placed for a BA role.
So glad it was helpful brother.
Hi Mr. Muthu,
I appreciate the general business analyst video. Could you please also post a video on the role of a business analyst in a product-based company like Amazon? It would be helpful if the video includes the necessary skills, such as SQL and Power BI, and offers guidance on excelling in that role.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I will aim to create a video focussed on BA in a product company.
Hi Muthu, this is Karthik here. I am pursuing for Business Analyst and Data Analyst course through Coursera and LinkedIn learning. I have obtained certification in both DA and BA roles (IBM Data Analyst certification) & (Microsoft Business Analyst certification) I personally felt I have inbuilt quality to become a BA. I do have 3 years of experience in IT as a Manual and Automation Test Engineer so, am I good enough to proceed with transition and if I get a job as a entry level BA what I will be doing in my initial stages ? PS: I have obtained certification in JIRA, Excel and SQL, also I have hands on experience for 3 years and I am currently learning Microsoft Visio for creating UML diagrams. It would be helpful to me if you suggest few things other than what I mentioned.
I have also done quite a lot self projects in Excel, power BI, SQL to showcase my skills
Hi Karthik - You are perfectly poised to transition into a BA role. In addition to the skills you've mentioned that only other hard skills that I would recommend learning would be process mapping (this can be done in Visio), any wireframing tool (e.g. using Miro or Mural or Balsamic) - just learn how to do quick wireframes. Learn to write Acceptance Criteria and learn to write functional and non-functional requirements. Focus on softskills such as communication, being able to brainstorm and doing a mind-map, presentation skills, meeting facilitation skill (dont worry too much about these as these skills are usually developed once you move into the role - you will naturally get better at these skills). All the best mate.
Hi brother, very useful information. I need that babok guide. Can you pls share this?
Hi Varun - Ofcourse, please could you share your email? if not I can upload to google and share the link with you.
bro please consider making the video on business analyst - titles
Will do bro.

@@MutuMurugesan Thanks for the valuable suggestions provided, I will work on it.
Hi Bro,
I have worked in a very similar role for 2 years as you explained but without using tools.
During 2016, I worked. Now I have a long career gap. I am 36 years old.
What should i do to update myself please?
I would suggest getting familiar with SCRUM methodology, Design Thinking process, do a short online training on Generative AI (databrics have a free training which gives you a badge).
Hi Muthu, Thanks for explaining in detail about BA, could you please share the BABOk guide. Thanks
Hi Arvind - please could you send me an email to the address provided in the description of this video.
B. Com BA business analyst padicha pothuma master degree panatha work kidikuma
Doing a Masters program is not a mandatory pre-requisite for a Business Analyst. However a Masters could help you in your career in the long term.
Hi sir, I hope this message finds you well. Currently, I am working as an application support engineer for a service-based company. I have planned to make a career transition as a business analyst. Also, I am preparing for ECBA certification as well. I'm a new mom, so I can't work from the office for some period of time, so could you please let me know about work-from-home opportunities for business analyst roles?
Lately companies are more open to remote BA roles as they struggle to find the right candidate. I found this company looking for a BA to work remotely. careers.8848digital.com/job-details/Business%20Analyst

Sir now there are using business analytics with AI can you explain about it
Sure will aim to create this video.
Bro ipo im an automation tester with 2 yrs experience. I am enrolled in mba but didnt choose specialization yet, mudikra apo i will have 4yrs of exp, I want to do mba but i dont know which role will consider this experience and salary. I have operations and business analyst in my head, which will be better? I heard operations is not much for girls and also i dont want to work with codings. Please suggest
Hi - Business Analyst is definitely a good fit since you have the testing background. I'd definitely suggest getting into business analysis - with your MBA, you will have so many opportunities open up once you start as a Business Analyst. You should aim to switch to a management role eventually. Business Analyst is really the foundation for future roles. Depending on your interest you can go towards product management, team manager, business analytics manager, etc. This might depend on your specialisation and interest. Whatever is it is that you do - make sure it aligns with your strengths and interest.
@@MutuMurugesan may i also know how opportunities are for operations..is that have same payscalr as BA? and for females is it in scope and better
Operations related roles are definitely suited to any gender. I think the BA pay scale is better. I think the scope is way better for a BA as you will still be involved with tech related projects. In this day and age I would recommend staying connected to tech. From BA you can easily switch to any kind of managerial roles - even ops related.
@@MutuMurugesan okay thank you so much
Hi,
😊What companies are offering BA roles? Not technical companies? But for the role you explanined in this video please.
Hi - such BA roles are mostly offered at Banks, insurance (health, house, professional indemnity insurance companies) manufacturing, engineering (e.g mining) and all sorts of other industries.
Hi Sir, I've one question I've done mechanical engineering am i eligible for Business Analyst or do i need any business related degree. Thanks
Hi Sathish - you are absolutely eligible for Business Analyst roles. Don't need a specific degree to be a BA. An engineering background would help when you work for any manufacturing/supply chain or mining domains.
@@MutuMurugesan Thank you sir and keep posting videos about business analytics sir
Informative Ty.
Hi @rangaraj568 - I'm so glad you found this useful. All the best to you.
Can you share the Babok link?
Hi - I've shared a link to the IIBA Core Standards document in the description section of this video. All the best!
I have finished master's in UK - Data Analytics. Undergrad - Aerospace in CBE India. I am planning to take ECBA certification. How should I approach jobs? I have no work experience. Can I apply to jobs that require 1+years experience even though I match all technical qualifications and have done some personal projects? Or should I start with internships/junior roles? If possible would love to speak with you through a phone call. This video was very informative and gave me more clarity on how I should proceed with my career.
Hi Cibhi - I've provided my contact email in the description. I'd definitely suggest applying for any entry level/associate/junior BA roles that you come across. If your visa allows you to apply for internships then apply for interns as well. Getting an ECBA can certainly help give your potential employers confidence when hiring you.
@@MutuMurugesan Thanks for the reply. Let me email you the other queries that I have.
@@cibhiboopathy4534 did you found email address in the description bro ?
can a fresher become business analyst ?
Hi Muhileswaran - Typically companies that advertise for Business Analysts would prefer atleast 1 to 2 years of work experience, but having said that you can always look for junior business analyst roles and try to complete a basic certification such as ECBA to get an understanding of the role. Never say never and anything is possible, so always give it your best shot and don't be afraid to apply for a BA job as a fresher. Try for graduate positions/internships as well.
