Thank you Larry,, this was so helpful. I've been procrastinating on setting this up, but your video walked me through step by step perfectly. the link for custom journey worked for me too! Looking forward to learning more from you!
Do you already have the tag used on the landing page in your contact information? Existing subscribers who already have the tag used in the landing page will not receive the automated email. Do you have double optin on? Are you in the automation queue? Do you have a specific time and day for the automation email or immediately?
@@aletaaustin7408 Unless you've used it before (like 2 or more years ago), Classic is gone for new users. If you still have access to Classic automation, then you can continue to use it, otherwise, you'll have to switch to Customer Journeys (paid account only).
If you have a new Mailchimp account (in the last few months) and you don't see the Classic Automation option as shown in this video, you could try the link that is contained in the description of this video. If that doesn't work, then unfortunately, you'll need to upgrade to a paid Marketing Plan in order to have access to Customer Journeys.
Your steps were very clear. But I didn't receive an email after I entered my info on my landing page and hit the CTA button. Any ideas? I have free account. Thanks

Amazing video!!!! thanks, but I have a problem, when the same user goes to the landing page to receive the same file for the second time (perhaps he deleted it, lost it, etc.) and retype the email, it no longer works, the system already has it previously registered in that journal/tag and it doesn't resend the mail. Any ideas on how to fix it?
Unfortunately, if a person has already filled out the landing page form, and the tag applied to their profle, the automated email will not be sent again. There is no fix, however, for the future, you could send a follow up scheduled email campaign to those contacts with that tag. Send the email days after they subscribe, with a link to download the file. You could position has a just in case they missed/for your records/would love your feedback type of thing.
Hi Larry I have a question, my client is asking me to create a landing page for him and publish it on website but as you said that it not like a website landing page so is there any way I can publish it on his website because it is not convincing him what I can do now
Sorry, there is no way to embed the Mailchimp landing page into your website. It is meant to be a standalone page. You'll need to create (or recreate) a landing page on your website, with an embedded Mailchimp sign-up form in it. There are downsides doing this way - no existing customer can re-signup, and no tagging ability. If you are on WordPress there are alternative plugins that can eliminate those downsides.
Thank you for this great video! I have two Q maybe you can help me out. 1. Someone was already subed, had no tag, filled the from, get the tag but didnt reviced the mail. Why not? 2. Someone wasnt subed, filled the form, but he recived the mail and also the welcome message as a normal sub. How could they ONLY this mail revice?
Do you have an automation to send an email after the tag is applied or only after someone signed up to the list? You'll need to have both - 1 automation for anyone new to the list and 1 to send a specific email after a specific tag is applied to the contact.
@@LarrySnow So you have to use tags for this to work. I am having the same problem. When someone fill out the landing page the email does not go through please assist.
The landing page accepts and updates contacts who are already on the list - unlike a regular sign up form. However, in order to automate emails to new and existing contacts (and properly segment your audience) you should you use a tag(s) in the landing page settings.

Happy to help, JoAnne. I can relate to procrastinating. I have helped coaches remove their limiting potential with Mailchimp. 😉
Thank you!! Your videos have been so helpful for me today. And the link to classic automation worked for me. :)
You're welcome! Glad the videos have been helpful.
this was so helpful thank you
You're very welcome!
How do we put these landing pages in our socials so new subscribers can see them and sign up not. Do we get a link from Mailchimp? Thanks
Hi there! Thanks for the question. Yes! When you publish your Mailchimp landing page, you are provided a URL to share with social media.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Even if I created the automation I still wont get an email after I click the button on my landing page with email and full name. Why is that?

Thank you for subscribing! You’ll need to add the landing page link into your campaign emails to existing contacts.
In other words, no one knows your landing page exists. You need to share the link of the landing to your contacts and on social media.
