- In this video, Chad takes the @BergaraOfficial B14 Wilderness HMR, likely the best value in precision match/hunting rifles on the market today, out to 965 yards with @LeupoldOptics , KGM Technologies, and @KestrelBallistics to see what this rig is really capable of. Let's just say it doesn't disappoint.

My grandson introduced me to Bergara. He has the HMR in .300 Win. Mag., but I'm almost 70 years old and I decided I don't need the grief. So, I just bought a Bergara B14 Hunter in 6.5 CM. What you showed us today assures me that I've made a wise investment. Thank you for putting this together! God bless, Miles.
Freaking stacking shots at 900+ yards is sweet. Definitely seeing the benefits of a dialed hand load and rifle combo.
It will do with it Hornady precision hunter or match.
I think the "mag issue" is more of a bolt being pulled back so slowly. Rounds won't snap into place. I'd bet if that bolt was cycled properly the mags will be fine.
Precisely!
Finally some good old classic action, just relax and enjoy the video!
Loved this video can you do one on the 17 HMR. Whst is the actual practical range ? I picked a Savage about 5 years back. I know alligators do not lile it. At 125 yards with proper shot placement it only takes 1 shot. Thanks for all the valuable info. I sporterized a Mozen useing your video's about 10 back. Its very nice.
^^Don't be that guy^^
@@NoNo_IStay ^^Don't be that guy^^ Mikey....
Wow.. unbelievable.. Bergaras are available where I live! Crazy to see my favorite gun people review this rifle :)
This rifle in .308 will be my first bolt gun
😇 I’ve been a good boy 😇
That was fun to watch. Those Kestrel deals are pretty amazing. Your shooting ability though was what was really fun to watch. Thanks for sharing y'all.
I love long range shooting, and this was a great video! Thank you
Damn fine shooting!!!! You just can't beat a Bergara or Tikka for the money. I have the same rifle except with the 22 inch barrel and it is a tack driver all day long. Excellent video.
tikkas are amazing
What ammo do you run through yours? My bergara seems a bit fickle
Pretty impressed. Picked up a Begara b14 wilderness terrain in 7rem mag about 2 months ago. Half inch @100yd running factory Remington core lokt tipped 150gr. Can't wait to work up some loads and stretch it out
Been waiting to see this video for a long time now. My HMR is chambered in .308 married with a Steiner M7 2.9-20 they really are fantastic rifles for a grand, and they are very capable of great feats of accuracy. Awesome video guys and fantastic shooting!
I have a
Bergara B-14 HMR and have taken it out to 565 yds with ease using match grade ammo.
I just picked up a B-14 HMR in .300 win mag. Took it out today, and my my goodness. You just know sometimes from the first shot, you've got a tack driver.
Will this take a short action Rem 700 pic rail scope base.
@@charltonlwalker No, it takes a long action size. I assume the .308 and similar would to the short action, but since its a .300 WM is has to be long action.
What a coincidence, just buy and first shoot my new Bergara 308 HMR!
Same charging issue, worked well when fast charging but sometimes difficulties when going “too” slow
That was a great video! Sit down with a cup of coffee and chilled for 30 min. I almost bought a B14 Hmr in 6.5 but went with the B14 B.M.P in 6.5 c.m. it was slightly more in cost but came with an all aluminum chassis and provided more adjustability to fine tune my shooting position. As far as glass I went with the VORTEX Viper PST gen ll FFP. 5×35×50. Only huge dowside is the weight.
Wow..
That accuracy at 1000 is impressive. The more shots he sent, the more it spiraled into the center. good stuff. I have a Savage 30-06 that I bought for $200 that has very good accuracy for what it is--- but 6.5 creed is just a different ball game.
Bergara .30-06 is pretty sweet 🥰🥰
I just picked up my new HMR in 300 PRC and I'm looking forward to getting my new scope mounted.
My PMAGs have never given a single issues. I have 10 and rotate them in my Bergara HMR PRO 6.5 Creedmoor. Shoot mostly precision rifle matches.
It's nice to see "affordable" quality stuff.
Meh.. It's still well over $3k. "affordable" is a relative term.
@@calholli that's why I used the quotes.
@@calholli yeah but mostly because of the scope the rifle itself is one of the best value for money, really good quality and not that expensive...
i got 1500 in mine with atken sh4 gen 2. not cheap but affordable
@@calholli That is with everything included, I think you're missing the point. Try to buy a high end LR rifle and $3K, without the accoutrements, is the "At Least" price! Affordable for a Base LR Rifle. High end with accoutrements would be $6K-$15K EASY! So yeah, affordable is a relative term, but this setup is definitely an "affordable" option, all said.
WOW! Great job. Really interesting accurateness! Hint I live in south Louisiana. The heat has made polymer magazines , that has never failed, I've found that keeping mags cool if they are loaded. Seems to swell just enough that they are fitting tightly.
I have the Bergara B-14 Hunter in a Magpul hunter stock. 300 win. mag. with Area 419 3 chamber brake. Shoots like butter! I've had it out to 1,218 yrds in Blakely, Ga. Scope is Trijicon AccuPoint TR-23 5-20x 50, not the best but not bad either! Rifle was approx. $800. Bergara's are built right here in Georgia, with the barrels coming from Italy. Very budget friendly long range rifles! Plan on reaching a mile with it eventually!
I bought one of these rifles (the pro version) before they really blew up in popularity (back when they were still including the test target in the box) in 6.5 creed. The three shot group test target with factory ELD-M was right at .3 inch !
I have that rifle in bith 6.5 and 300 win mag. Love them both.
Great video! I have 4 Bergara rifles now, and all of them shoot great! Thanks for sharing.
The part with the squirrel running across the range made me giggle. I had something incredibly similar happen last weekend. My friend just got a 6.5 grendel and we were getting some data at 200 yards with Barnes hunting loads and a 7ish month old fawn ran right across the range. If that deer waited just a second or two, my buddy would have accidentally smoked it.
I tried an MDT mag in my B14-HMR wilderness, and I had the same feeding issue. People said bend the mags, I just swapped to the magpul mags and ZERO feed issues at half the cost.
I have a Bergara premiere series long range with a Vortex Vipee pst gen 2 and atlas bipod in 6.5 creed. Thing is an absolute tac driver love it.
I'm looking at one of these Bergara B-14 right now and everybody is raving about this rifle. Thanks for this video fella's
I truly enjoyed this video today guys ☝️ it made me miss my 1903 Swedish Mauser 😢, with its 6.5x55 , but we re-loaded a 2.23 and even a few with hollow points, just to see how they'd do. But the ball ammo was so fast and flat shooting, even with iron sights I could hit a palm size pattern at 600 yards iron open sights.
I loved that rifle.
Thanks again for this video, and letting me brag a bit, and get weepy, Lol 👍
Agree, this video was almost like being at the range with a cpl buddies 👍
As a hunter this is to much and not fair chase in my opinion, as a patriot to protect this country I applaud it. Great video keep them coming, God bless you and your family.
Nice shooting Chad! Thanks to both of you for the video! Be safe
Got 3 HMRs. Its a damn good rifle. Favorite being my wilderness in 300prc
I like the Bergara but went with the howa 1500 in 6.5, not disappointed but would still like to get one of these.
Yeah buddy I have been waiting for a good ol shooting video and some distance attached awesome stuff gents keep em coming
Shoots like a laser beam is kinda an understatement. Lol. I'm sure my old Rem 700 would cry watching that rifle go to work
I live in the same town as Southern Precision Rifles aka Bug Holes and they carry this same suppressor. I’m going to get one for my 6.5 PRC.
I JUST picked up my B14 HMR last week! Haven't even sighted it in yet!
I think this rifle in 300prc is going to be the most economical way of shooting a mile . Lapua makes brass for us that hand load. If bergara made a 338 at this price point , they wouldn’t have much competition. My opinion.
wow I am looking forward to shooting my new rig. I got the BMP version with the aluminum chassis
Welcome back to the were never gonna meltdown a bcm socom upper channel......
Just bought one in 308 I hope it shoots just as good thanks for the video
Surprisingly magpul AICS mags have run best for me across multiple platforms
The more optics I buy, the more I like Leupold.
I wish they'd come up with more bdc "cheater" reticles. They're pretty dedicated to that duplex
Thank you gentlemen, this was a very enjoyable & informative video.
Great video! And with it all said and done, that was great shooting buddy. A great rifle, great ammo and a great scope, but it stills falls to the person pulling the trigger.
God bless all here.
I was so impressed with my HMR that I bought a wilderness terrain to setup just for hunting. Love the Bergara line! Want to add a rimfire HMR trainer now!
drfroglegs how do you like the Wilderness terrain? I’m looking at it in 308.
I’ve been looking at this gun for a bit now. This is just the video I needed to finally “pull the trigger” on one. Great shooting bud
sweeeet. nice shooting, Chad!
I just bought one of these and scoped w/ a Viper.
I have one of these rifles and it’s really easy to shoot and shoot good. Great video fellas!
Really wish I went this way, instead of a built AR-10 platform. Great shooting Chad!🎯
Where’d he get that od green scope cover with the velcro on the front?
Shot mine out to 1 mile. It's a tackdriver!
Dude these rifles are badass. I couldn't justify the cost of the m40 ish limited stock edition but boy that would be sweet.
You two are so much fun !!!
need more chad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just ordered a b14 will have it next week can't wait to set it up and pop so steel at 1000 yds
22:28 There is something moving in between the near plate and far plates right at the end of the bush line, and it is responding to the shots being fired. Looks like it's camouflaged or cloaked or something. But keep your eye on that area, right where the bush line ends, same height as the small far target, and draw a line between the center of the near target and the center of the far larger target, this thing would be almost in the center of that line.
I saw it, cant tell if its plants or a person
@@peach8685 Yeah, if it's a person then they have wind movement down to an art. But there is also movement of something, might be a part of the bigger thing, first going from left to right across that little dip in the fore-grass then going back right to left. This is to the slight right of the thing, and down a foot or two.
looks like a turkey
Think its a leaf, the reflection of sun and movement of wind?
@@mosinw6697 It does look like a turkey, with some little turkeys going back and forth too.
That's awesome
@@real_side it would definitely get the job done.
B14s are easily best bang for buck. Im gonna buy one in 308 soon im thinking 😁
Did you guys have any problems with surface rust, mine rusts super fast and easy.
Outstanding! really enjoyed this one! Now to get my new B14 HMR to the range!
Had no idea these were a 700 action!
Nice shooting! Great accuracy for the money.
Nice review. I have a savage 110 tactical in 6.5 creedmoor and it holds a .65 group factory. One stupidly accurate round. Thinking of getting one of these in 6.5 PRC for hunting Midwest
I've got one of those rifles in 6mm creed and it's stupid accurate.
900yds Wow
🤘😎✌️
Chad Is Back👨🎓💯
Not bad for shooting at 1,833 yards.Or 1.041 miles.
I have the b14 HMR 6.5 creed with a vortex diamondback tactical. Sub moa out of the box at 100yrds
Got one in 300wm love it
Fantastic rifle! Great shot on the coyote. Great video. Shooting is so much fun.
I bought the same gun yesterday! I love it!
Yo IV, maybe put a tennis ball at some targets, for scale
That glass I'm sure helped tremendously
Not sure if there is another rifle to stand against this at the price. Nice video guy's.
I am getting consistent flyers. Even after mailing it back for warranty and waiting 6 months. I have ordered a re-crowning set as the last 1" of bore and crown look terrible. I will cut and re-crown then bed as shown in this video. I hope it fixes the issue, as Bergara will not. I have tried various quality mounts/optics, hundreds of dollars worth of various premium ammos and patient cold bore shooting. I am still getting consistent 3" flyers at 100m. Thanks to Island Outfitters in Victoria for their support.
Cool that Chad could cycle the bolt before the bullet impact was heard. 😁
300 win mag
Camo stock like yours
Tract Toric 4.5-30x
Atlas bipod.
Really debating a can. Other than that it looks a lot like this rig
Love that rifle. Guys at the shop drooled over it when it came in. Even their .22lr stuff is nice. Bergera makes great rifles. I've heard the Spanish government inspects the barrels before they leave Spain.
I just got one. It doesnt have that stock but the action seems identical. Its the same one Military arms channel had awhile ago.
I just got one in .308 with a 20" barrel and it was $1649.00 plus tax! Not sure where you get the $1000.00 price from. I did buy the premier Pro version but it looks just like the one you were shooting. Setting it up with a Vortex Viper PST 4-16 ffp. Hope it shoots as well as yours. That Mag issue has me worried.....
Great rifle got a BMP 6.5 and I love it.
Very nice set up, excellent job shooting. I would like this in 7mm rem mag. Stay safe and God bless
That 6.5 round gets to the target very quickly
Thanks for everything guys.
I got this rifle haven't gotten a scope for it yet great video just people do great shooting.
Good to see Chad back
Running the bolt slow may be causing some issues. But you guys probably know that
Explain.
@@alastair9894 It’s built for quickly reloading the chamber for follow up shots, which would be with much more force than they were using for their last shot. They are not operating the bolt with enough force to reset everything, likely bc of their filming and talking. I’ve done the same with many rifles while teaching kids to shoot and talking instead of focusing on forcefully opening the bolt. It’s weird how I still do it when I know the problem, but if I’m not focused on the target, I’m not going to open the bolt with enough force
Love The 6.5 Creedmoor However I Shoot The 6.5 PRC Thats Better In Almost Every Area. Especially The 6.5 PRC Has Over A 600 BC In Ammo Loads & Does 1500 Yards Any Given Day. Appreciate You All. Keep Your Footage Coming. You 2 Do So Much More Than Weapons Data. Your Educating The Private/ Civilian Sector On Safety & 2nd Amendment As Well As What Other Rights Individuals Have. I Shoot 2.Times A Week With Other Professionals & I Equip Them About The 1st. 2nd. 4th. 5th & 14th Amendment Constantly.
Wow! Nice rifle and excellent shooting!
Lucky! I've been looking the their rifle in the left hand 6.5 prc for over a year now
Very nice video. Definitely will look at the Bergara!
24 inch barrel versus the testing barrel at 26 inches has your shots falling low The haed shot fell to the neck, and you feel low on the coyote.
Guys from all the normal Americans out here… a $2,000 scope is not budget
What are the odds that I just pick one if these up last week. This exact rifle. And you do a video of it the day after I sight it in lol
Outstanding !
Thanks you two great stuff 👍
Great vid cheers from Australia
Great shooting buddy, well done!
Excellent video guys.
Outstanding video gentlemen.
The mag issue is coming from you not me racking the bolt with enough force. You were probably doing it slower for the video (which is fine) but that’s what’s causing it.
I think he was trying to stay on target as much as possible by finessing the bolt forward with thumb and index finger, which is asking for exactly the problems shown (my CZ-527 is extremely sensitive to such finesse). One needs to both open and close the bolt with authority using an open palm, which imparts maximum axial force and minimum side loading.
