      Dont compare your own work to others. Just observe, learn, take note of the techniques and apply it to your own pieces. You will quickly become disheartened if you judge yourself by the standards of veterans.

      Haven't made models since I was a kid, so could someone explain to me why is it bad to paint tracks with metallic paints?

    • @antininja162
      @antininja162 4 роки тому +1

      @@3AMJH I paint them with metallics but i think it's because the tracks on the actual tanks were faded and had a less shiny appearance. A dark brown or red might be a better fit for tank tracks that have seen action although it entirely depends on the environment.

    • @josku5
      @josku5 4 роки тому +3

      AntiNinja I agree, you could paint metallic tracks and do heavy weathering, or just do them brown or red and have them look more natural and used

    The I thing I REALLY REALLY love about your builds are the heavy weathering, although sometimes it's unrealistic that the machines get so beaten but it really stands out, other people try to stick to the realistic side and do very little weathering compared to you however, it's a war machine and I love war classic badass beaten up war machines so yea, keep on doing the good work!

    Your approach to modeling as an art is very good. I like to approach it as art as well. The finished result is a realistic model and the weathering is artistic and increases the beauty of the subject as well as increasing the detail. I like to use Tamiya acrylic due to its excellent airbrushing properties. Oils are a favorite as well for weathering and detailing. I like how you use the un-thinned oils as well to blend colors. That has a very good effect. 1/72 is a great scale if done properly especially with the great kits available today. Excellent job and great videos.
