Probably one of the strongest tunes of the BritPop era. So tight and the drummer has got his shit together, big time. Yes, a fantastic song. Truly worthy of The Who status, without a doubt! The whole band killed it!

I’m in NY , MTV NEVER aired this video. Thank goodness from 95 til 2000, my cable carrier carried Much Music from Toronto, and they played this and Good Enough. This is SUCH a great, powerful song, and it did NOTHING in the US. Thank you, Much Music, and you helped me discover so many other great UK (and Canadian) artists. I miss MM

william mcmonagle I literally have no idea how I knew about this band because I was in the States and we had JUST gotten the internet a year or two before I heard this for the first time (I see this came out in '96, I think I found it in '99). I mean we had dial-up and I was downloading pirated mp3s wherever I could find them which was pre-Napster. I was the only one at my high school who was into music like this but American pop was so incredibly awful in the late '90s it was like the only thing I could listen to that wasn't awful lol.

I instantly thought "The Who" after the intro. But really, the more I listen to this, it's really just the rhythm of the song and the drumming that makes them sound so much like The Who. The vocals and guitars do not sound like The Who. The bass playing is a harder decision. I think the *tone* of his bass sounds Who-ish, but he isn't a busy player like Entwistle. He sticks more to the rhythm and root notes while Entwistle would mix it up with more wandering melodic playing. It's a testament to how much the sound of the The Who was created by the drumming of Keith Moon.
