Even SSI, for all his skill, forgot the greater message. Thyagaraja composed Nagumomu as he grew old, sick, and alone, so it is reflective and bittersweet. However, everyone seems to sing this as fast and peppy, perhaps to show off their skills
Composer's mood need not be replicated every time composition is sung. What matters is singer's manodharma that brings out essence of song and enthralls listeners. That way all stalwarts excel, each one in his own way. We have to devote our attention and affection to our favourite stalwart!

Without knowing the meaning of this krithi, Except Dr .Balamuralikrishna, all stalwarts of vocal music,including MS.S, semmangudi,Ariyakudi etc,all are singing like this krithi as blissfully.But M.B.K.sir ' s mother tongue is Telugu.so he knows how to present this song,with painful,whoever hear the song,they will understand the soul of this song.This particular song, nobody can justify,except Sri Balamuralikrishna.But, some concerts,he was also sing like others,because of the fans like to hear the song with blissful.
