My _”SWAG”_ (Scientific Wild Ass Guess) is that they omitted the USB-C ports because while the connector itself is standardized, there are a number of possible charging standards that it supports: QC, PD, etc. (Supporting them all would add *COST.)*
I know a lot of devices that use USB-C that come with cords with a USB-A male plug on the other end. They do make converters, although they won’t (can’t) support all those charging standards that you *_might expect_* from a USB-C port.

Hey sure thing, I like to use Apple’s 20w power adapter to fast charge my iPhones but I will use basically anything 20W+. If I have to of course I’ll use a slow 5W charger but only if I don’t have a fast charger around.
