      It is an intimidating thing for sure - I know I've been nervous to do so as well, but I think finding some inspiration pictures is a good place to start and then trying to emulate looks that draw you in ♥️♥️

    Erin, excellent video. I live for prints! I wear them every day. Usually I pair them with neutrals. For me one thing that helps is having a base color scheme. My base colors are burgundy, black and cream. My prints always have one or two of these colors. Example color schemes that I have are green, black ,cream another is burgundy,navy, cream and of course leopard brown,black, cream, etc. Also there are some prints that are always easy to pair like stripes, polka dots and plaid. These can easily have a neutral effect with bolder prints. Thanks 💕

      Such great tips! Thank you Jeanne ♥️ Yeah I think when I start adding more prints to my wardrobe I need to keep colour schemes in mind for sure!

      Hi, I didn’t explain very well how the color scheme works. Because I wear
      Prints almost every day I have pants in six colors, black,navy, brown, cream , burgundy and denim so by getting print blouses with a planned color scheme they automatically go with at least three bottoms. I consider that everything goes with denim.💕

    You made some really good points but i always have the same feeling: when I see some of the combinations other women make I say it's looks great and when I'm using lots of prints or colours I think I look ridiculous 😂 this year I'm trying to add some colour and some prints in my wardrobe but it's still a little early for me to try mixing and matching patterns -maybe in the future if I find ones that make me feel comfortable I'll give it a go☺

    • @byerinelizabeth
      @byerinelizabeth  4 роки тому

      I love what you said! We're in the same boat haha. I'm aiming to expand a little more with colour too and then prints - one step at a time and it needs to fit in well with the rest of the wardrobe and still make me comfortable. I can appreciate someone mixing prints well so much but it's one of those things that is definitely intimidating ♥️

    I think you showed some great examples. You should go for it, I bet you'd be surprised how good you may be at it. It all just comes down to having the effort and time. Sometimes I will hang my potential looks up for a few days to feel how they resonate with me overall. It does help and it also helps me remember what combos I do like repeating again!

    I've always been a lover of floral prints and stripes, but I also used to love bold colors before I got into minimal fashion. So even though my style is more mature now with lots of neutral tones, I think mixing colored prints could be worth trying out, or having a bold, solid color mixed in with a print. Thank you as always for the inspiration, Erin!

    I haven't been afraid of mixing prints but I have experimented with my style over the years! I love fashion so now print, color, and style mixing is no big deal to me. Loved that second outfit as well! Also loved fourth outfit, fifth outfit (yat to SJP!), sixth outfit, seventh outfit, eighth outfit, ninth outfit, eleventh outfit (yay to Blake Lively), twelfth outfit

    I think similar prints work together except floral prints. Floral prints works great with graphics. Black and white works the best I think, it’s my favorite way to mix prints 😊 A beginner friendly way is to have one or two solid items between two prints. A printed shirt or jacket with printed shoes or a printed scarf to a printed bottom always works 👌🏻😉

      I had never thought about mixing florals with graphics! This is genius. I just posted a print and pattern mixing video myself and I cannot believe I didn't think of that. I did show some florals with florals though that I think look really stunning!
