I had a cancerous tumor (mucoepidermoid carcinoma) removed from my paratid salivary gland two weeks ago. They found it while doing a petscan at my six month follow up for lymphoma treatment. It's been a tough year!!
I had a lump too and the biopsy said it was benign but after excision We found out it was malignant I had to go a second surgery to have all the parotid removed then I under gone a 30 sessions of radiation after .. i was 20 and man at 22 but the fear of it coming back won't just go ... I was just sleeping and at 3 am I had a panick attack kept crying so hard I searched for survivors on UA-cam so I can be a little assured so thank you you gave me hope
@@theshadowman7125 so much better done alot of follow up and I came to peace with it .. turns out I just was not good at dealing with all the emotions I blocked them and they came rushing 😂 thank you so much for checking up tho .. so grateful
Hope all is well I had mine for a year before I got mine removed my biopsy was benign as well. We did not know until it was removed. My dr said it’s not a threat but at only 28 I’m nervous and it is hard find information on it. And is not usually found in people my age. Hope you are ok
I'm 38 was tole I may have this. Going for a deep tissue biopsy this Thursday because my needle biopsy show nothing. I also live in Philadelphia and have been so stressed out over this. My Dr straight up said if its malignant I'd be fine it's not a death sentence. This video really helped ease my nerves thank you !

my Mother was just diagnosed with salivary gland cancer, I'm so scared. We don't know really how bad it is yet. She was put down for some appointments for CT scans and other tests to figure out how badly it is.
I have been pain in my face when it chewing food.. Parotites gland could not produce sailava... I have tested FNSC my result is MILAN Category II (Non-neoplastic, inflamation). Is it a cancer or not???
Hi, my cousin sister is suffering from metastatic adenoid cystic carcinoma.. Her parents have spent all of their money on her treatment. Can anyone suggest if the treatment of this disease is being offered somewhere at nominal cost? She’s just 31 and has been suffering from cancer since she was just 10.. or maybe if anyone can suggest an ongoing Clinical trial on metastatic adenoid cystic carcinoma, she would like to become a part of it.🙏
I just had a Parotidectomy and multiple lymph nodes removed on the left side of my neck. After the surgery was done the results of studying the tumor came back as Salivary Duct Carcinoma. A very rare cancer and dose not have a good prognosis. I see my radiation oncologist tomorrow to discuss treatment options. Are there any new treatments for this cancer. I am a fighter but have had a had time researching a cure or a way to prolong my life.
Thank you for sharing your story, you are a beautiful couple and I’m so happy you are doing well 💛
