    Amazing, really like what redshift is doing, just wish you guys would invest in more tutorials esp for 3ds max users.. once i find more resources i will take the jump and purchase redshift

      What are you missing tutorials on? Most of it is similar to vray and arnold, if you're familiar with either of those. Using the forums or even looking through the docs will also always lead you to great success.

    I need to see some good denoising on high frequency textures like rust, damaged metals and plastics this kind of clean bright materials is very easy to denoise.

      On the forums it appears that it is having some troubles with such detail as it will think that noise is detail to leave alone or detail is noise and smooth it out. It is apparently getting better everyday as Nvidia has fed its A.I. about 15000 images so far and are still feeding it. The only thing it cannot do at the moment it seems is hair as it simply does not know what to do with it and gets discombobulated but it will be solved before it is released (whether in BETA or Production I do not know).

    Do i understand well, that currently this is only for the preview window / progressive mode, or will this be usefull on final production image?

    When i import an alembic animation redshift messed up the materials but the same does not happen in octane thats why i moved back to octane though i loved redshift better.. The alembic animation i used was imported from daz3d character to render in c4d

      how could be useless if its not out yet?

    • @medulaestudio
      @medulaestudio 6 років тому

      Of course it´s "useless" right now. It's not even launched! It's a preview, a test, a demo... but it's planned to work with animations too.

    Will this work with ALL Nvidia cards? I have a GTX980. Or is it only going to work on future cards that support this technology?

    • @BoDodge
      @BoDodge 6 років тому

      Panos confirmed in the forum that they will support Maxwell and Pascal cards also.

      Didn't know what you meant at first, but now I know Maxwell includes my card. Thanks :)

      He meant the architecture of the Card. The GTX980 is a Maxwell architecture card. So you are fine =)
