Oh, I remember having fun with this game when I was young. Although, it's a shame that the gameplay strategy of all these bosses were mostly the same. Keep ramming them until they die or until you get that rare chance to super kick them. They would've been fun if they at least tried to be different or weren't cheap to the point where you'd need to be cheap right back.
Abobo- The big black guy you don’t wanna be alone with in the prison shower. Big Blag- The result of New York cutting back on it’s sewer rat control budget. Roper- 2nd Amendment enthusiast. Beats off to Rambo movies. Skips leg day. Rat Ship Colossus- Why not? General Slaughter- Just your garden variety pissed off anthropomorphic rhinoceros who only made it to mini boss status. Robo Manus- 6 million dollar man if the doctors were high AF and spent most of the budget on weed. Shadow Boss- Lord Humongous, the later years. Now with spike ball mode action! The Dark Queen- Generic title for an evil fireball throwing dominatrix heartthrob, but who cares? Shes hot. Right?
Woah woah woah. The heavy, bassy sound effects from the NES you hear when the toads give you the boot aren't in this? How did that happen? That sound was very effective and satisfying.
I remember after beating that space ship( I was trying so hard! It was most difficult), I celebrated so much and I didn't press any buttons for two seconds to go forward ( after every boss fight u need to confirm in twenty seconds that you continue to play) and I had to start over again
I'd say the NES version was better, the port had some really stiff & choppy controls and while the remixed tracks were good (though not as upbeat as thye originals), it was a shame that the boss tracks were cut out entirely. You should totally do the original version as well, I'm sure you'd do an awesome job ^^

I fucking hated Roper's stage as a kid. Me and my older brother had the hardest time getting past his stage let alone getting to him. Still, this game has a special place in my heart.

Just found out today that you can use homing missiles in the space stage by hooding down the B button (but I think holding it for too long destroys your ship)
I use to own this game when i was young. there is a way to kill the bosses instantly. not sure if it's a clitch with the finisher mechanic, but I've ran through bosses exploiting it.
I still have this game in original cartridge, didn't touch for 18 years cause my console is broken.O TIP: Obobo can be defeated in 3 seconds with rush attack at the very beginning skipping whole boss fight.
For some reason, punching around Blagg's fat ass in this version of the game is extremely satisfying. I don't know what makes big fat bosses like him so fun to beat up.

I had this game, it was alot more fun when you truly didn't realize how easy the bosses are.
8bit version of the game was waaay better designed. It was supported at least by good sound effects and boss themes.

I still got this game it still awesome, it was hard at first but i got used to it and bet it with either character.
All bosses no damage impressive. However getting to the second boss I know you took damage on the speeder bike.

If you held the shooting button (A) you could use the missile. You just had to lock it on the gun. The aim would move with the ship though.
Somehow I like NES version more. I don't have an explanation, it just feels better despite being less technically advanced.
