(Still) the perfect soundtrack to trying to put on a parachute while falling from near-earth orbit and engaging in close quarters combat with a troupe of enemy skydivers at the same time.
Used to see these guys live at Lucy's record shop in downtown Nashville as a youth (mid 90s). Dick Dale put surf music on the mainstream map via Pulp Fiction soundtrack. Little did the mainstream know, M or A was a hidden gem!!!
haha i saw them in Aug 2015 except they had "baby elizabeth" as their 4th, awesome show, very cool. got to see Coco + S'crunch + B'stuff best show ever
My favorite part is at the end when she says "getting back to the music now", as if that had been something other than music. Perhaps her primitive Earth brain could not perceive the close-up sights sounds and smells of Man or Astro-man? as music. Perhaps it transcended music in a way that you just have to be there to understand. Yeah, that must be it.
Have been lucky enough to seen this band perform live 4 times-They SMOKE
Yes yes yes! Favorite band ever!
Fuckin A, me too👽

Nice! Have they watched The Battle of The Planets ever? There is also a planet Spectra.
It is a cartoon in 1978
I'd be willing to bet they are familiar.
The studio version opens with a extended sample of Kei Luke as Zoltar from Battle of the Planets ;-)
Also, please enjoy Samara Ginsberg's rendition of the Battle of the Planets theme tune for 10 cellos:

That intro riff sounds like Rock Lobster by the B-52s. And I mean that in the best of ways.
