- As promised, here's another piece of our visit to The Hollywood Palace with George Burns which aired March 18, 1967. I think this is one of the cleverest numbers we ever put together. Timeless. I have absolutely no memory of doing it!
I can tell you this much... I HATED being almost 10 years old and still having to wear those shirts (I got so teased about them in school).
Unfortunately, with all the moms gone now, there's no finding out who's idea this was. So proud of it though. Again, so many questions I would've asked if I'd had the time or the notion. So grateful to hve been doing voiceovers at ABC about 15 years ago. On a whim I just asked, "hey, do you think I could take a walk into your vaults and get copies of our performances?"
Talent to the max!!! ...So fun to watch! ...You and your family doing the Christmas Special where all of you fantastically perform and sing Soul Cake with the neat choreography is one of my most favorite King Family performances. After seeing that show there were many much smaller singing groups who wanted to recreate that deal for their shows...we paled in comparison doing Soul Cake with the roundalays; however, our ensembles were built with the most wonderfully talented and kindest people imaginable. ...Thank you so much for bringing us more clips of your fantastic family performances.
So much talent beauty Harmony and fun in one family. Certainly a Divine moment Cam that led you to the vaults at ABC. Such a joy to re-live these memorable moments from our lives..Bravo!
Everyone at once. Was lovely to see the whole family together
Hours and hours of practice.
George Burns was certainly dapper looking in his later (mid) years.
This brooooother got skills
Who were all the family members playing ? I thought the cameras would show everyone but couldn’t see didn’t . Thanks !
Yes, their names would have been great! On the right, I believe they are f2r: Lex, Marilyn, Ray, and Luise. The gentleman on the front left looks like the older brother, the young lady looks like Liza, not sure of the 2nd gentleman, but Donna is at the rear-end and the little boy is Marilyn's son Adam.
Damn..... How old are again?
I do think Cam Clarke is 60...pardon me if I'm wrong. I'm 60 and recall him on TV as a kid being around my age in the 60s. I later learned we were very very close in age.
