I'm shocked this doesn't have millions of views. Heard it on a random spotify playlist and just assumed this was some legendary classic song that I'd somehow missed. It's just that good and left such a strong first impression on me.

I just watched my best friends horse pass from colic and over the speaker comes this beautiful voice. It was just one of those moments in my life being able to be there for my friend both of us really enjoying Sarah's voice while grieving a huge loss for her.
The song has a Civil wars vibe to it, Beautiful guitar and violin composition.

I fell in love with the song, and was listening to it. The wife comes in and says "wait, did they get back together". She meant the Civil Wars. So I had to give her bad news, good news. Good news is of course Sarah Jarosz is out there making fierce new music.
You can almost mistaken this as a Civil Wars cut
Its very easy for an artist to have their music over-produced - this is just right, and I love that the vocals are prominent and not lost in the mix. Another thumbs up from the UK.
I'd disagree. I've heard some of her studio work before it was fully produced, and the comparison to the finished product is absurd.
Compare the raw video of her playing "1000 things" in the studio on youtube with the compressed and mixed track on the album. Her vocals sound so much richer in the former, where as she sounds almost airbrushed on some of the finished tracks, and that's not to speak of the instruments.
I'd definitely like to hear her do a more minimalist production along the lines of Gillian Welch's later albums.
