Great vid - actually this was exactly what I was looking for - I’ve been watching a few for a while now but committed to starting this season out well / bought some of your product as well so this is perfect …..thanks !
Just watched this, very informative. We are looking to improve our lawn. What is the difference between the scarifier blade and the lawn rake blade and which do use and when...
Perfect video for my lawn and my mum in law - not fed for a couple of years tho we did scarify n aerate last year! Was just stuck for where to begin n what to do and time is always an issue. The vid even gives tips on not spending too much time on moss removal at this stage - good point as I then run out of time to do the feeds. I notice you used a granular feed first? Can I make do with the Stellar Bio Boost I ordered for now and do the granular in a week's time? (Not much time to go shopping!)
Perfect timing this one. Looks a lot like my lawn condition-wise. Been banging the Inhibit on since December. Got out this weekend for a scarify, mow and Rise and Shine application. Roll on spring! Quick question on not overseeding - am I right in thinking that there would be no harm in doing so, it's just you don't think it's necessary there? Cheers
I used 14.4 ltrs of water with the iron and 1.6ltrs of galactic green, equalling 16 which is a full tank which i know covers this lawn but you will know your amount better, waters just a carrier so amounts differ per lawn size
Hi Dan, so 800g in 16 litres is all good for a 400sm lawn? I have the same size lawn to do tomorrow. Another question but I saw your lawn resolva weed killer application on a previous episode, that works out at 800ml of weed killer but mixed with 40L according to packet instructions. Can I just match it to the inhibit water volume or do I need to do it separate. 40L seems mega for 400sm
Can you recommend a good a knapsack sprayer? I bought a cheapest one last season and the lance has already broke with an air line crack in the handle. It’s obvious I need to spend a bit more. Using it only occasionally I thought it would suffice.
Hi Daniel - I've sprayed the lawn with Resolva as per your video from last month and will put down the Inhibit this week (been delayed by the weather). Once this has had a chance to act what would your preferred schedule of work be from here ? Should I then scarify ? If so would you then spray some Galatic Green or would you put down Rise and Shine ? Id be grateful of your input as I can then order the relevant products from you. Great videos as always
You need to Follow my video that i did last week in the back garden or even the one i did on the sloping lawn if u can scarify do it then keep on with iron applications if you cant just keep on with iron apps till u can scarify
How you getting on with the Peat Free compost mix you tried last year? Will it make another appearance this year? I have a section I need to seed after some building work and was going to use your technique of seed covered with compost. Love the inspiration to keep giving the lawn some tlc. 👍👍
Daniel, is INHIBIT something you'd only use as a renovation prep at the beginning of the season perhaps once or twice then other products throughout the rest of the season or would it find its way into the sprayer summer/autumn along with the other products? Reason for asking is that Moss is not a real problem if at all, Galactic green may be a better option (with R and R) for me given the measly 40 m2 at my gaff.
Yes galactic is your better option as tailored for fast green up without excessive blackening where as inhibit would cause the grass to go well black if no moss around in the summer
In answer to the question you pose in this video, the one thing which discourages me from treating my 2-acre lawn is the immense amount of damage created by wild rabbits, squirrels, woodpeckers and (usually) moles and voles, although we’ve seen less of these so far this winter. But seriously, I love being inspired by lawn care videos like yours but nobody EVER seems to talk about the real challenge that limits how much time and effort I’m prepared to put into lawn-care and then see all my hard work trashed by the local wildlife. Discuss please..
I only see moles and worm Cast damage as most my lawns in suberbia , bbl gets tremendous squirral damage, not much i can do about other than suck it up
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert - mine is like a war zone, life in the country is very different to towns and cities and in my experience much harder to maintain a good quality lawn unless you are able to erect solid boundaries. So I do indeed have to suck it up and lower my expectations for what’s possible.
Hi Dan, My lawn is a soggy thinning mossy mess at the moment, I'm going to give it a light trim and stick some iron down this weekend. How long after treatment would you scarify?

No Steller is a stimulant it is not a fertiliser so you need that granular on there aswell,
Looking good Dan

Will the cold spring temperature not effect the uptake of lawn treatment 🤔
Not only good lawn info, but my vocabulary increased too. Detritus. Nice!
Great word detritus!
Can I still do this with the cold weather coming next week, or hold off ??? Thanks

I dont do any till the end of march not worth doing it any earlier as you just get screwed over by the weather ive learned my lessoms

Hi Dan, I’ve just bought some inhibit moss control - how long after applying can I overseed? Thanks
Doesn’t work like that you will have to remove the moss first by scarifying, but i wont be seeding till late march early april

1. Scarify
2. Apply inhibit
