Reminds me of a boyfriend I had so long ago, he had a Kenworth and had a special paint job put on it. It looked sharp coming down the road. He sure was proud of that rig. Thanks truckers for all you do to keep us fed and clothed and everything else.
Thank you Buck like I said I am a truck driver of 18 years, I started when I was 21 and after my time i spent rolloing down the hiway medical problems made me retire
I was a Truck driver for 15 years, 9 years coast to coast . Fixin' to write a book called Gator's Tales. Great times over the road! Met the best best driver's on the road from the Carolina's to the left coast.
My best friend in high school's dad was an old school truck driver that ate all the speed rolled his own cigs and loved Merle Haggard. This song is him
believe it or not. When Skynyrd recorded this song, the rock and roll stations refused to play it because it sounded "too country". ain't that bulls**t?
you have'nt trucked till you are in a snow storm and the traler starts to come up and see you great post merry christmas to all drivers hammer down with the rubber side down be safe and gods blessings to all
This song touches on just about everything about driving large cars! I drove across NM IN UNDER 4 HOURS I40 I THINKS 374 miles MILES. I stopped once . That's 93 miles an hour. My rig got mpg lol. 425 cat pump turbo wide open 600hp 15speed 103 mpr truck. I ran 80 up hill loaded no problem.
:-) I take pictures from the passenger seat of my husbands big rig and I hope to one day make a book of them from our travels across this great country!!! GREAT video!!!!
When the kids were little, we would go on 20 hour road trips and call them vacations. Every time we would pass a big rig at least one of the kids would be pressed up against the window pumping their hand up and down so the driver would give it a blast on the horn...and they always did, with a huge smile on their faces. I was always riding shotgun and they would get a huge smile in return from me. Good memories!!!
Awesome song Ronnie. Even Ronnie's throw away songs, of which this one was because it sat on a shelf until after Ronnie was dead, even Ronnie's near misses ROCKED. Southern Rock BOOGIE.
I heard this song at 13 years of age. got my CDL at 28 , I have not looked back. my dad said don't do it. my mom said don't do it. but I'm doing now. it's been a good road. ups and downs but I will never leave long haul. Thank you for all the hardships that have been in my life. would never change this life for nothing else. KEEP ON TRUCKIN TRUCK DRIVER!!!
Amen Manuel , even with all the bullshit there's nothing like the bond between the driver and his truck. Especially when hes got a fresh pack a smokes and the radio loud
January will be three years out here. Currently working the rails out of Chitown as a chicken hauler. "Hes got road maps in his hand, lord driving as hard as he can." Man I feel that.
@Georgio McCool …...….Hi Georgio, I had the pleasure of talking with Bon Scott in 1974 as the AC/DC Greyhound tour bus was having its diesel serviced by the company I was working for and in Bon/'s own words he stated that "if there was Bill Thorpe And The Aztecs, there may not have been an AC/DC" that's why I put the Aztecs ahead of AC/DC. Also AC/DC lost its originality after Bon's untimely death. I was never a fan of the Brian Johnston AC/DC, everyone has their own opinion to which they are entitled.....enjoy the music..
@Georgio McCool ….Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs were around from the mid sixties through early eighties, started as a harder edged beatles, then progressed into a harder rock outfit. enjoy
I love me some of those old Peterbilt Conventionals with those little tiny windshields and all those lights, sneaking up on you in the early morning. . . so cool.

This song reminds me of my late brother George. If it had wheels he could drive it. He was a couple years older than me. We were at a storage joint and the old dude came out and told George I worked here 30 years and never seen anyone get a trailer back there. He’d out run the cops for fun. He died when someone hit him on a harley. He only got busted once when the engine blew the copper came up and said what do you have under the hood he said just a 305 the cop didn’t even give him a ticket. I miss him
Truckers , I want you to know Im praying for you and our country ,Take God to DC with the heart of a Lion ..They cant have our republic nor our heritage..If they dont love America then they can get the FO! God bless!
