Something just came to mind. Being a trucker is like being a Marine. Once you're a Marine you're a Marine for life. Once you're a trucker you're a trucker for the rest of your life. I saw this in my Father and I have been blessed to have seen it elsewhere myself included. You may find another way to make money but,, you're still a trucker.
Very true ive been itching to get my truck licence and drive since i was young i just got to get my car licence and then apply to a college next year to get it
I'm the son of a KW driving "bed bug" 45 years my dad drove a truck, with his last truck being a 1974 K-100 with a screaming 318 Detriot. RIP in truckers Heaven daddy, you are missed, but never forgotten 😢. The Wichita Lineman
51 yrs old been a driver since I was 21 grew up in trucks. It’s in my blood My gramps and Uncle were drivers It’s been tough at times but a good living Wouldn’t trade it for anything
Dad taught me in a77 Freightliner awesome video watching this makes me feel like the kid I was behind the wheel with Dad beside me !! Miss you Daddy Joe love your son Michael Muniz!
I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it, my son told me about it. Love the video, started trucking with my Grandfather in 85 running team in his 83 frieghtliner. (Sure miss that old man) That’s a sweet looking kenworth: sure brings back cabover memories.
O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Cabovers Rule!! I was born & raised in a trucking family. My dad owned a 1970 KW with the Red,White,Black & Gold scheme. I was 5 & in love with this truck. I would climb up in the truck when it was home & take a nap in the bunk. They found me there many times. We got a phone call…”The truck was coming from Kentucky, my brother was driving it to a mechanic & it caught fire & burnt to the rails!” I thought my brother was in it & I balled my eyes out! Dad had to tell me that he jumped out in time. I still cried when we went to see the truck, or what was left of it. Sad sight! But I’ve loved cabovers & any old truck since then. Once you get it in your blood, it doesn’t come out! Thanks Dad! Your truck is one clean, double bunked KW! SHARP! Good rolling action! Thanks for sharing. Keep ‘Em Rollin! And yes, I own 6 trucks now! So far. God bless all of our truckers!! 💥🥰✌️
My Uncle's first tractor was a 72 Mack R 600. He bought it in 1976 and when he would bring it home I would be at his house working on it with him. I was in heaven for a few days. Then came the day he let me at 13 crank it up and talk about a kid with a smile ear to ear. I remember the time we had to rebuild the pump on the tractor ( he hauled chemicals) and so much other stuff. I felt like it was part mine. Lol. But then came the day my Father had to break the news that he had to get rid of it since the crankshaft broke when he was in Connecticut and he felt that the cost of a rebuilt engine was more than the rig was worth. At 19 I was almost in tears. After that he bought an International conventional with a V8 Cummins and a Road-ranger gearbox, sleeper, air-conditioning, the whole 9 yards. I actually learned to drive on the Binder before the required BS of CDL'S. But soon after that I was nearly killed in an auto accident and was left with a left foot that wasn't able to work a clutch. That ended my time driving a truck. My Father warned me about it, that once you start Jamming gears you will never get rid of the desire to be a trucker and I have to say that he was right. Thanks for sharing about your Dad's truck.
@@pointingdog7235 🇺🇸 I have a saying,”You can the man out of the truck, but can’t take the truck out of the man!” I find that to be so, so true! I’m proud to come from a trucking family & I’m a better driver because of it! Many trucks now are going automatic. Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope that you at least have a hobby truck in your life. I have 3 trucks & it appears to be growing some. Who knows. Blessings my friend. 🤩😎✌️
Loved the song and the video. This video takes me back. I was a trucker back in the 80s & 90s I drove CEOs most of the time, Good to see one back on the road again.
