You have my like. In the early eighties I fished a open as a non boater with Western Bass who later I worked for. At Roosevelt lake I caught 18lbs on the first day.
Watched your dad on tour for years. When he fished Columbus MS, my kids(grown now) got to sit at the picnic table while he was eating crawfish. He was great with the fans and so are you. We are pulling for you to bring home the win. Keep the content coming.
As a 10 year old kid I couldnt wait til Saturday so I could watch Fishing with Roland Martin! Now Im a 51 year old man and I can't wait for that notification to come up that u have a new video out! Oh how time flies by but one thing is constant..the Martins know how to fish!! Goodluck bro! Bring home the Classic trophy for Pops!
Scott, your attitude is what makes watching these videos some of my favorite on UA-cam. Once my kids go to sleep I always check to see if you've posted. You got me saying biggun when I fish with my son and he just laughs and says "ok Scott Martin". Sad thing is he knows I'm lying cause I never catch a biggun.
Never fished a tournament but my biggest bag is 26.43 4 smalls and one 8.3 large best day ever. Keep up the amazing videos. Better then cable hands down. This crew in my eyes has the best bass fishing footage out for tournament and on the road vlogs you guys are killing it.
I just want to say that random prayer was awesome! Maybe you could pray before every first cast before your tournaments? You absolutely have nothing to be sad about you performed lights out! Love watching you and your family fish!
Local lake here in Southeastern NC called lake waccamaw I fish alot of tourneys in. 3 years ago the lake was on fire and me an my wife weighed in 28.3 lbs for our best 5 that day. All caught on brushpiles in about 8ft of water. One of my most memorable days on the water
Scott I have to say I’m loving the videos! They are top notch, you McCoy and the whole group keep up the good work! My biggest 1 day limit of 5 was the very 1st BFL I ever fished as a Co-Angler back in 2009 (Choo-Choo Division) I weighed in 5 that weighed 33.9 with a 8.2 & 8.8 at Lake Guntersville. Awesome day and after all these years I still remember that day as if it happened yesterday
18.7lb. Loved the video's, great shots and love your family. Grew up idolizing your dad and now you and your daughter...what an awesome family. Love it.
Hey Scott I just wanted to say that I am a huge fan. The way you carry yourself as a fisherman and as a human being is something to be idolized. Keep grinding. You’ll get that Classic win
I watched all three days rooting for you to fish on Day 4. Fishing at this level will take you to incredible heights, and then humble you just as quickly. Kudos for handling it all 'like a pro'. Looking forward to the post tournament breakdown.
I love your videos Scott. They are so well made and prepared for the viewers. Keep up your grind and work ethic, because so many of us look up to you.💯💯💯
Love the prayer in the video! Another reason your my favorite angler! Your an inspiration . I'm a dad with 2 daughters and love seeing the passion you and your daughter share with fishing!
So glad you have this footage, I know im not the only one that was glued to the tracker and the TV. They didn't show anything on TV and it was pissing me off. This is your year scott. Go do you, your bad ass!! Learned a lot from watching you and to be honest I said a prayer on that 3rd day hoping a big o 7lbr jumped on your line.
Scott, if you can figure out day 3, everybody is going to be in big trouble. I’m glad that you explained why there was so much boat flipping. I was shocked that so many people were doing it, and losing fish.
My PB was the first tournament I ever fished !! I was 19 on my home lake. In Louisiana ! 34-14. 2 ounces from a 7lb. Average. Haven’t come close since. All on a chartreuse painted blade Lunker Lure ! That was 44 years ago. My next heaviest bag was 22 lbs. Love your stuff !! Have a great year Scott !
I love this whole series. I thought Lunkers was going to do something like this with his tournament fishing. The quality of your videos is just on a whole nother level. Keep it up by friend.
You’re gonna do it this year man! Love following the journey. My 9 year old asks me everyday if your new video has dropped. He’s hooked on fishing now. God bless!
Can’t dislike a man that prays on the water mid tournament! When you know where your strength comes from and acknowledge those blessings good things happen going forward. Good luck, Scott!
Hi Scott watching your dad and you teaching me something l love to do is fishing. Your intro hit home to me as a Canadian l realize we all have the same goals is roots and values, maybe this can help l am a second generation master plumber that was at one point in my life under the wing of a family member. In thirty years of my trade l realize that to become an elite is based on family roots your dad is proud of you because for him is keeping the legacy going with your daughter becoming a tournament star and for me is watching my son becoming a license plumber keep up the great work. Thank you for the videos l learn from your family and teach my kids how to fish.
Great Tourney Scott!! Hope you continue to grind hard. Really thought you could win this one the way the first couple days went. We’re all rooting for you.
26.55 Grand Lake March 18 2000.. We Won AOY that year with over a 17 pound average over a 8 tournament schedule! Local buddy trail.. Epic year! I'll never forget it!
I am still working on bringing a fish to the scales during a MLF BFL tournament. We all have to start somewhere. I am working on it everyday. Thanks for another great video!!
AMEN Scott Martin. You Sir pray the rt Prayers. I hope that you will seal the deal with a Bassmaster Classic Win. You ask for safety and quality not results and glory. Your a great man and wonderful idol for any young man or woman to look up to and I'm sure Roland is prouder of that than anything you could ever win.
I used to watch your dad compete at B.A.S.S. on cable ESPN as a kid. A whole lot of us kids tried act like we were pros after watching the tournaments in the 80's🤣.
I just bought my first Skeeter boat, it's a 2018 Skeeter ZX 200 loaded to the gills with extras. It was just an unbelievable price I had to buy it. Man I love it.
Yep, love you fishing the monument and trees to begin 3. Beautiful sunrise. Great to see you come out smiling. Thanks Scott for being a fine example of what it's like to be a top notch sportsman. I did enjoy your vid, this whole series was good. Thanks.
Siiiigh.......Scott I was so excited for you going into day 3. All of your subs were I’m sure. Though things went a bit sideways that 3rd day other anglers are starting to takE notice yover their shoulder to “ SEE WHATS CAUSING ALL THIS! WHOOOA!! With each tournament you’re progressing up the leaderboard. It’s only a matter of time before Ol Blue will be moving in with the Martin’s in Clewiston Florida. Then a Martin Family Classic trophy before you know it. Keep your head up. Set the hook like that Bass stole something from TheHillarySue and Boat swing that bad boy right on into a championship. Another great video from the one and only SMC.
I was imagining his dad's excitement also and how that would make Scott feel. I know that's been some of my best memories when my parents were super proud of me for an accomplishment. Doing something my dad wasn't able to was amazing cause he has pretty much done it all in his industry like Roland.
can we just point out that this man qualified for the elites THIS YEAR and has already been in the top 5 twice in 3 tournaments. if this man gets a good schedule and a little luck hes gonna be AOY in the coming years
Thanks for these awesome videos sir. You remind me so much of your father. He was pure class on the water, and tenacious! Learning the lake and the fish...same as you, GREAT JOB! ... Oh Hillary is going to be legendary like you and her grandpa!
there was a study shown that bass take up to about 16 months to finally leave the tournament release area. small mouth about 3-5 months. plus small mouth have a 95% chance of returning where they was caught from regardless of distance. but bass about 60% and change tend to just accept their fate and stay within 1-3 miles of being released after being weighed. just some nerd knowledge for you.
My Biggest Bag wss 28.3 on Watts Bar in Whites Creek. I had a Mixed Bag and Lunker Largemouth and Smallmouth. Go Get Em Scott Martin. I always followed your Dad. He is my Top 3 Greatest Pure Fisherman of all Time. Now Im pulling for you.
I haven't fished any tournaments in over 40 years. A friend and I fished 4 tournaments in the early 80s on Lake Conway in Arkansas. We came in 4th place every time, I can't remember the weight, but I'm guessing around 7# each time, small local tournaments with around 20 boats, so not too bad for 18 year olds fishing against 40 - 60 year old men, most of whom lived on the lake. I was a marshal for a tournament on Lake Dardanelle several years ago. I got to meet all the pros at a lunch and was paired with Rick Clunn on day 1 and Skeet Reese on day 2.
Largest 5 fish limit 34 lb 14 oz Lake Okeechobee Bass Busters Golf division against you and your pops 2001.. Please say hello to your pops and Mom from the Nelsons
I see exactly what you mean on the short strikes. I fished two of those exact spots you fished around the bridge on Sunday and couldn’t catch them on anything but a drop shot and was missing them on that as well.
Thank you for sharing this journey with us all. My husband Kevin watches often & got me watching also. We enjoy fishing & want to congratulate all your success! keep posting Kevin & Jennifer Lazoran from Ohio:)
You guys have been DESTROYING that like button recently! Thank you so much for all the support! Can we break 6,000 likes on this one?

Watched your dad on tour for years. When he fished Columbus MS, my kids(grown now) got to sit at the picnic table while he was eating crawfish. He was great with the fans and so are you. We are pulling for you to bring home the win. Keep the content coming.

Scott, if you can figure out day 3, everybody is going to be in big trouble. I’m glad that you explained why there was so much boat flipping. I was shocked that so many people were doing it, and losing fish.
