Really calling everyone out with skipping step 2 😂😂 until I joined artword. It's true I had been skipping that all my life 😂 went straight into observation
I have been drawing with only fineliner for a year now, from not nowing anything about drawing to draw different things from imagination thanks to your videos. (not figures, still a little difficult for me). Now im studying with watts atelier online, trying to learn more of the figure, and i will join artwod program later this year. Thanks¡
Such a straightforward but effective plan. Steps 5 and 6 is perfect when one wants to attempt different styles.
Why is this so underrated!, thank you so much!, amazing teaching
you had me at step 2!!! new artlete here 🎉🎉🎉
all the way that you need understand. Ty artwod!
Glad you like it! :)
Thank you❤
This is a really helpful tutorial. Emulstion. I totally get that. Without that level of curiosity i fail to see how imagination can flow.
Thanks Antonio ❤
Thanks artwod! Love it ❤👍
Thank you!
Damn, blud ain’t gatekeeping knowledge. Thanks
Our pleasure!
Awesome video!
Thank you very much!
What’s that shirt?
Looks to me like Even Amundsen's style :)
How about step 0? Contour drawing, without understanding forms but drawing and design with observations, imagination and all what you want.
I mean it like children's drawing, doodling, zentangling and etc. Also contour drawing improves understanding of proportions. And you can easy go over to 3D forms, just presenting sums of 2D shapes as 3D form. 3 planes is 1 cube.
He groups it under shape manipulation of the contour...step two. It's exactly what you're saying, did you watch the vid?
That is shape manipulation. After all you have to image the contours to draw it
@@lockm7380 No, that is manipulation with forms via contour. It is not contour drawing. Check this video more carefully.
Also, check in Google what is contour drawing. It is other the concept.
Just skip step 5 if you want to be a real artist.
This is akin to saying "dont read Shakespeare if you want to be a real writer".
The only 1 step you'll ever need:
Use AI
Sounds like you would hire a robot to smell a flower, enjoy a meal or travel the world. How sad.
@@ArtWod and that's how you cope?
@@slothguy5946 you can use AI if you want, bro. No one’s stopping you nor do you need anyones’ permission.
@@Drawperfectcircles I just don't like people like him, who give people false hope.
And people trying to learn these useless skill annoy me
@@slothguy5946 it’s not false hope though. It’s just oversimplified(the reason I don’t like tutorials/‘common artist mistake fixing’ videos), those are really all that’s needed to understand how to draw anything, but the technical limit of one’s skill won’t allow one to do it like someone who has been training on it for years. It may indeed seem like a useless skill but, it’s still a skill to learn, if you wanna learn it.
Nothing is wrong with not wanting to learn a particular skill because you think it’s useless, but even if it’s useless, you can still learn it for the fun of it.
So basically, if I'm poor and can't purchase your course, I will never be able to draw well? Got it, thank you.
Not what he said.
Yeah, keep searching for excuses to not put in the work and blame outside factors. Pen(cil) paper, you're set. You don't need to use their course, but it can help give more directed exercises and even feedback. He showed the blueprint to imrpove, now you can fill it in yourself.
He actually explained the entire system of learning here. If you had the focus to build your own practices following this system you could draw really well. That aside, it's like 20 bucks a month, It's the most affordable art program I could find on the internet, and honestly, the best. I've been teaching myself for eight years and in the 4 months I've been in the program I've grown more than in the eight years.
If you aren't able to afford it, I hope you are able to make a practice following the principles. It helped me a ton! Best of luck on your art journey!
Dude, what are you on about? This video spells it out for you, and there’s tons of other art videos on UA-cam by so many awesome teachers like Proko, moderndayjames, Bucci etc etc… you can find all of the Loomis art books on the internet, there are so many resources. Stop whining and get a piece of paper and a pencil and DRAW!
Nah he basically said Gesture, construction and anatomy but he broke it down to more easily understandable chunks for the newer generations 😆@@idankpoaugustine1983
