Keep this in mind. All of Soundgarden's biggest hits were recorded before pitch correction was a thing. He went into the studio and sang til he got it right. Every note you hear on those classic tracks is 100% Chris. Bands today, pretty much every note is tuned during editing. His performances sound perfect. Truly a genius on the mic.
Look at the sweat pouring off Chris. He always gave his all then some. That’s why He’s the BEST. You are sorely missed Chris Cornell💯🤘🏼🎶 Everything you ever touched turned gold. Hot Damn this is a perfect performance the whole band kicked ass
The fork necklace Chris is wearing Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon made for him. He continued wearing it even after his death in '95, until a fan ultimately stole it sometime in '99 I think.
whatever universe chris cornell is at now, entertaining with his talent I hope to end up in the same space and time as this artist again. (blessed to be here when he was)
If anyone is wondering why Chris is not screaming in certain parts like he does on the studio version, it’s because he is also playing guitar at the same time. This song is very hard to sing and play guitar on at the same time. Like really hard, haha. That’s why you see him looking down at his left hand a lot.
@@11DNA11 I mostly meant the rhythm, not the chords. But maybe I'm wrong. Why don't you make a video of you singing and playing so you can show me how it's done?
@@isaacj1801 The rhythm is amazing in this song. Four of the greatest musicians from the grunge scene. Being exposed to the recording process or industry makes me wonder how easy it was for these guys to play their parts while sticking to the metronome. So much is going on, it seems difficult to catch the exact tempo that the song posesses.
Not only this: he has to preserve his voice for the entire show. Yet, this tour was very exhausting - take this and his drug abuse, and no wonder his voice never been the same.
I think after how many times he’s played it that the guitar and singing wouldn’t be the issue. 1994 was a massive year where they toured basically non-stop after having 1993 off touring.
Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. Both bands were 2 of my favourites bands of all time. I play in a 90s Grunge / Hardrock / Stoner Rock Tribute Band and we already play Black Hole Sun, but Spoonman will be the next song we are going to play. You know... there are many tribute bands in Germany as well.. but only a handful have the balls to play stuff like Stoundgarden, Pearl Jam, STP, Alice in Chains, Saliva, Foo Fighters etc. We also took "Dogman" by King's X in our Repertoire... and it turned out to be a good Song choice!
Heheheh! Since we live in Germany...this would be the only place to see us. But if you are interested... watch some of our videos. Search for "smalltownindustries sti" here on youtube. You have the most powerful voice in the history of music. I love you chris, Rest In Peace with your beautiful spirit
Him and Layne are pretty tied. RIP.
Robert Plant is untouchable in his prime but Layne and Chris come in a very close second. Just my opinion
@@domonicdecoco2410 to me, Chris' voice is vastly superior and more powerful than Plant's, but its just imo, and i really dont like led zeppelin

RIP the biggest idol I had and still have as a singer
Gotta love the old camera and film work that made 90s recordings seem that much more legendary. Simply amazing band!
one of the greatest voice in rock and roll.
What a great frontman the looks the voice the riffs and the skill of song writing Definitely a lot of missing art this guy would’ve done
Rest in peace, Chris.
You were one of the best.
The voice of a generation.
Huge talent, now a huge hole in my heart. R.I.P.
Pierluigi Cecchini me too 💔
Chris Cornell rarely smiled, but not frowned. He was sincere. and genuine and homegrown. I wonder if he Really knew how talented he was
WE LOVE YOU, MAN! YOU'LL ALWAYS ON OUR HEARTS!
thank you so much chris, the voice of rock and roll
When you look at what the early 90's produced with Kurt, Chris, Corgan all writing, singing, playing guitar it's still mystifying to me their talent.
EASILY the best live performance of "Spoonman".
Ferich11 👍
My 5yo sons favourite song! You will live for the ages Chris. RIP
