      Zharoon Zharoon no,sleeves add very little 0 to 10 kg from really tight sleeves. Wraps can add much more 30 kg or a bit more is sometimes claimed

      Great, I guess I was just being anal since a lot of people seem to lump the two together and treat them like they function the same. I get pretty much zero except for mild compression and warming from my blown out Sling Shot sleeves. Eventually I will get another pair that fits better (I bought a size too small and it ended up being a bit smaller than desired for training) that offers better compression. I will save my replacement Sling Shots for competition.

    While he squats a large amount of weight, relative to his bench and deadlift, he should be doing more. This isn't a criticism, more of a testament to a superb deadlift, and a mind boggling, insane, unfathomable, bench press.

    Impressive. In the squat he had 10-20 Kg more in the tank and the 330 benchpress he just missed, because the assistance moved the bar to far, so that it moved a little to the left, so that he had to fix it, before starting the attempt.

    • @Pentax67
      @Pentax67 6 років тому

      MrStrengthfreak I would be say no because I am a powerlifter and I know Kirill personally (I am at 145kg bench 73kg BW preparing for WRPF, need 160kg bench press for "Master of Sport" of Russia).he clearly failed and its obvious. He did heavy squats before and it made his legs, lumbar and back a bit tired. Leg drive and usage of back is VERY important. So that's why. 335kg BP record was done only with bench press and nothing more. Sometimes you can degrade your own 1 max rep, its fairly common but not the case with Kirill

  • @androidboss559

    His squat and deadlift numbers are not as impressive.... Its his bench that kills everyone else... similarly Ray Williams is not as great as the other two compared to his squat! KK was more or less the same on his deadlift! The moral of the story if you want to dominate in powerlifting, be good in all 3 but be especially freaky in one of the big 3....

    • @emp100k
      @emp100k 8 років тому +9

      Mostly every great power-lifter is a specialist of some kind, there are very few that are dominant at all 3 lifts, those that come to mind: Sergey Fedisenko, April Mathis, Dennis Cornelius, ect..

    Damn Thor with 6 weeks preparation did 1,100 (and if he was not red lighted with the 460/ wrong decision by judges because it was the exact same depth as the 440 - please check the superimposing by Strength Universe UA-cam channel) it would have been 1,120 and if his grip held on with the 430, it would have been 1,140. I'm pretty sure had Thor trained for an year he could have totalled a 1,200 Powerlifting total.
