Picked up my g2c in the 40 cal version. Took it to the range and I have to adjust the sights, but other than that it was a total joy to shoot. Also have the G3. Taurus guns are good ones!
No key. It does not have and you do not lock the slide on the G2c. The lock was on the Millennium G2 slide that was discontinued. They are not the same pistols. The Millennium G2 was discontinued due to the known problem of sear blocks breaking causing a dead trigger. The G2c is the first of the G series and the G2 was the end of the Millennium series. The trigger is the way it is because of the restrike ability. The long first pull is a safety measure on many striker pistols but the trigger can be staged and gotten used to. Yes the G2c is that Goldilocks sub compact size that fits most folks just right.
Getting rid of the "key" was the best thing taurus ever did. I wish the revolvers from S&W would do the same thing, I will not buy a gun with anything more than a grip and thumb safety, and both are actually way too much for me on a carry gun.
@@ronnierandall6922 Like Smith, Bersa makes good guns but Bersa also has had safety locks that they are now getting away from with their new model pistols. My TPR9C has a safety lock and I don't like it but I just ignore it. I agree that Smith needs to get rid of the safety locks also. I would never buy a new Model 10 revolver with that lock on it.

@@rbm6184 I agree with everything you said except for "bersa makes good guns."
