According to the logic of the Chinese people, if Korean people live in China and hanbok is Chinese culture, is Chinese culture American culture because many Chinese settled in Chinatown in the U.S. and had children there?
I want you to realize what nonsense you're talking about.

The Ming dress that looks similar to Korean hanbok is not Chinese Hanfu. It's Gaoliyang (Korean style clothes). Chinese people wore Korean clothes during Yuan & Ming dynasty. And the Hongzhi emperor banned it. Because its Korean clothes, not Chinese clothes.
Some Chinese people can't see the difference between Gwanbok (government uniform) and Hanbok. Hanbok has never been influenced by Chinese hanfu. It looks totally different.

The logic is simple. Chili seeds are from Europe and Chinese cabbage seeds are from China.South Korea's climate and geography do not allow many vegetables to grow. Eighty percent of South Korea's kimchi is imported from China.
South Korea's attempt to apply for Chinese characters as a world heritage site was rejected.
The ancient Koreans use Chinese, but it's a pity 😥😥that Koreans can't understand their ancient characters from now on
It's funny that Koreans use TV dramas to prove traditional Korean clothing, while Chinese use museums' antiques to prove it.
All the emperors in Chinese history are buried in China, and their tombs are still well preserved with many cultural relics inside.

You should really ask a historian about this instead of asking netizens about thier opinion, an opinion isn't facts. With 2 nations so close to each other there a bound to have some influence on each other, the Ming dynasty was extremely rich and powerful compare to the kingdom of Joseon and if history is correct Joseom was a tributary state to the Ming and many Korean diplomats workers in the Ming courts. There are similarities but they are not the same style of clothing with significant differences. Dont be distorted by TV dramas and research real history in order to persevere the true culture of each other's history.

Yes, but it is also true that the Ming Dynasty was influenced by Hanbok. It was not influenced by Hanbok because Joseon was strong. The Ming Dynasty was influenced by Hanbok by Yuan Dynasty.
Ming's aoqun and horse tail skirts are the most representative evidence of the influence of hanbok. However, many Chinese nationalists have begun making false claims.

    • @user-mz8vy4fv1f
      @user-mz8vy4fv1f Рік тому

In fact, even if the Ming Dynasty's aoqun is influenced by hanbok and the 15th century hanbok and aoqun are very similar in form, the detailed structure is different. For example, there is only one ribbon on the side of Hanbok, but there are two aoqun. And, the sleeves of hanbok are mainly straight. But the sleeves of the aoqun are suddenly narrow.

And looking at ancient Chinese records and Korean records, Korean ancestors wore hobok(hu dress). Basically these hobok were separated tothe top clothes and pants. But originally, hanfu in China was a dress that wrapped around the body without pants. However, this hobok design spread to China from the time when the people dominating the mainland of China were replaced by the northern Manchurian- Mongols line. After all, Yuan era clothes in the Ming Dynasty, which the Chinese now claim to be hanfu, is a clothing influenced by hobok, which has become widespread since the Mongolian Yuan period. This is a groundless interpretation even if the Chinese claim that everything originated in hanfu.

The Chinese think they're the center of the world and ancestors of all races.
They think that everything comes from China, and even Korean hanbok, kimchi, Hangul, and even the national flag have been improved from their culture and are considered their culture.
Just as European and Asian styles are different, Asia is located close to each other, so the fabric and style may look similar.
But that's not all of China.
I can't understand. Koreans have never thought that any culture in Asia where our country is overseas is Korean culture, and they respect their culture.
In fact, long ago, Korea was a subordinate country to China. So sometimes I sent tributes, but they were never the same country.
At that time, Korea(Joseon Dynasty at that time), which was small and weak, was an inevitable choice.
But just that's all. we have not used Chinese culture. We lived in with Hanbok, using Korean, and eating our traditional food.
Koreans borrowed Chinese characters a long time ago. But it was so difficult that the common people could not read and write, and only the aristocrats who studied very well could write.
(All we borrowed was writing, but the language spoke Korean.)
That's why King Sejong created Hangul so that ordinary people can read and write easily.
At that time, Hangul was called Hunminjeongeum, which means "the right sound that teaches the people."
Therefore, Hangul belongs to Korea. have nothing to do with China.
In addition to Joseon, there have been many other changes in Hanbok, including Gojoseon, the Three Kingdoms Period (Koguryeo, Baekje, Silla), Balhae, and Goryeo. Among them, the most well-known type of Hanbok is Joseon.
If foreigners living in countries far from Korea are interested in Korea, I hope they know about it.
China is plagiarizes K-pop and Korean broadcasting too
Whenever I think of this, I only sigh. They seem to feel inferior to Korea.
China thinks their people are superior, but they were also ruled by Mongols (Qingiz Khan) or Manchurians. It makes me laugh that they are ruled and their people are superior.
I want China to oppress the Uighurs living in their country, to be ashamed of spreading the COVID 19 around the world and taking away the culture of other countries.
Please, I don't want them to distort history anymore.

@@realityisbutanillusion7465 In 2002, a research project called Northeast Project was carried out in China. China invaded South Korea by supporting North Korea during the Korean War. Thanks to him, Korea became two countries. If the United States had not helped, South Korea would have been eaten by China along with North Korea. When the road to reunification of the two Koreas began to be seen in 2002. China, which opposes North Korea's denuclearization and unification of the two Koreas, has implemented the aforementioned "Northeast Project." When the two Koreas were reunified, they planned to absorb the history of the two Koreas. The Northeast Project seemed to disappear in 2016. Since then, anti-China sentiment toward China has surged around the world. Anti-China peaked in 2020 under the influence of COVID-19. In the 20th century, China launched a cultural revolution that burned down all history and culture. In the 21st century, China attempted the Second Cultural Revolution to change anti-China. "It belongs to China because all the history and culture of East Asia have been influenced by China." Meanwhile, Chinese netizens are pressuring K-pop just because BLACKPINK touched pandas with their bare hands in Korea. Pandas are symbolic animals of China, and pandas around the world are swearing at Black Pink because they symbolize China. In the past, Twice's Tzuyu (Taiwan) raised the Taiwanese flag, and Chinese Internet users cursed her. It is natural for Taiwanese to hoist the Taiwanese flag, but Chinese netizens have denounced it as an insult to China. Lee Hyo-ri (Korea) was also criticized for mentioning Mao (cat). The reason for the criticism was that she insulted Mao Zedong. But she has no record of referring to Mao Zedong. China puts pressure on Korea by creating a cause that curses Korean celebrities. BTS's interview is so famous and takes a long time to explain, so if you're curious, Google it.

"China is now trying to take away hanbok."
At the "2020 Miss Hong Kong Contest" held on August 30 (local time), dancers who were dancing behind the candidates came out dressed similar to hanbok, saying, "Isn't China (traditional costume) Qipao? Isn't it wrong to take other countries' cultures and use them as backgrounds?" "In Chinese dramas, hanbok is often used as a maid's clothing," he added. "It seems to be a psychology of the Northeast process and hanbok is a downstream culture."
Recently, various online communities and SNS have been continuously raising questions that "China is trying to steal hanbok." Various Chinese contents such as beauty contests, dramas, and fashion shows have increased the appearance of clothes and accessories that look like hanbok. It is clear that China is trying to make hanbok their traditional clothing.

China was dominated by Mongolia, Khitan, and Jurchen from the 12th century and was influenced by the design of the nomadic peoples of the North. Due to the influence of the Yuan Kingdom of Mongolia, the design of traditional Chinese and Korean clothes began to change. Mongolia dominated the Chinese at the time, but Korea's Goryeo defended its sovereignty and made marriage alliance.
The Mongolian empress was a Goryeo woman and the Mongolian princess married King Goryeo.
Designs made during this period continue to this day.
Chinese of ming , who drove out Mongolia, failed to restore their traditions completely.
Around 100 years after the founding of MING, the Chinese emperor banned Goryo's design and culture, but the situation did not change easily.
Now, the Chinese think that Korean culture was totally influenced by Chinese culture because Joseon was a tributary country of Ming.
However, China repeatedly destroyed the Han Chinese kingdom by other ethnic peoples about 300 years ago. In the 17th century, when the Manchurians occupied Beijing and founded Qing China, mainstream culture in China was transformed into Manchurian culture.
Since the early 2000s, countless Chinese have been campaigning to revive Han Chinese culture.
However, it is becoming a situation that distorts history while glorifying Chinese culture.
It is true that China has influenced Asian culture a lot, but the formula that Asian culture is all Chinese is inappropriate.
Koreans have never given up hanbok before, but most of Chinese wore Qipao for hundreds of years.
They also maintained a footbinding culture for more than 1,000 years.
These detailed cultural differences should be compared.
The Chinese like to claim that Korea is part of them.
But Korea was not part of China.
For reference, the clothing design of the Mongol Yuan empire period influenced Ming and Joseon. There are so many Chinese who fabricate this as the culture of Han Chinese.
    (Genghis Khan was not Chinese.
    He was Mongolian).

"han chinese" try to claim that all of East Asia owes its cultures to china.. but cultures and ideas go in two directions, not only one direction. Buddhism came from North India and Central Asia came into China for just one small example. Currently china owes more cultural and technological debt to S Korea, Europe, America, and Japan for its modern culture (music, foods, tech, etc). In the past, china was undoubtedly influenced by neighboring nations such as in Central Asia, Korea, Japan, SE Asia, india.. but now claiming these cultural and technological contributions as "chinese" just like it is trying to do with many things, including Korean Kimchi.

The only thing called a ponytail skirt, the inner lining of a skirt was misunderstood by Korea as a horse-faced skirt shape, and the ponytail skirt was popular in a region of China for a while, and later the emperor thought it was too crude and a barbarian item, so it was banned. As for the horse-faced skirt that was misinterpreted by Korea, it originated during the Song Dynasty in China

Chinese people may not know each other. However, the Chinese government is conducting numerous distortions to make Korea part of China.
The Chinese site described the Korean president as a Chinese minority. also, Korean independence activists are being promoted as Chinese minorities in China. It also distorts history. I have met many Chinese who claim that Goguryeo and Goryeo are Chinese history. also, they say that the Korean War is a war against the United States.
Hanbok and Hanfu are different. In the first place, the two clothes are different from the beginning. and the clothes worn in the early Ming Dynasty were Goryeo clothes that were popular in Yuan Dynasty. so Yuan and Ming and goryeo clothes was same and Yuan history say that the clothea is from goryeo. but the Chinese deny it.

@@andy9962 First, thank you for saying that I am a your friend.
dear chinese friend, but the situation is getting worse now. because unfortunately, what I say is true and it's been a long time since China started to distort Korean history and culture.
Let me show you a picture as a simple example.
      www.google.com/search?q=윤동주+생가+중국+소수민족&client=ms-android-samsung-ss&hl=ko&tbm=isch&prmd=minv&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjf6OWCtp7uAhVCFqYKHdBgAzkQ_AUICigC&biw=412&bih=678&dpr=2.63#imgrc=5Y3lQfvi1vss1M
This is a sign in the house where the Korean independence activist lived.
China marked him as a Chinese and ethnic minority. also In 2000, at the University Festival in the United States, the Chinese introduced Hanbok as a costume of ethnic Chinese. there was a video on UA-cam. I don't know if it's still there because it's something I've seen before 2008
China also claimed that Goguryeo was a Chinese history. but, the existence of Goryeo makes it impossible to claim it. so they began to claim that Goryeo was also a Chinese history. many chinese I met claim that.
There are many other distortions. But the writing gets too long because there are so many distortions. If you want to hear more, I'll write more. and the distortion that I'm talking about is not just a scholarly opinion or an opinion that is ostracized, but a distortion that is or is actually reflected in the Chinese historical community.
At first, I cheered chinese when they were doing the Hanfu movement because I like the Hanfu of the Tang Dynasty and I like the revival of tradition. but they claimed hanbok, which was popular in the Ming and Yuan dynasties is Ming hanfu and that hanbok came from Ming Hanfu. many people claim that now.
so koreans are worried that Hanbok will be taken away. because China has a large population, wrong beliefs that many people believe have a big impact on the world.

As a Chinese person, I respect both cultures. All the arguments that are happening are through the spread of the media, and I think we all know the media is not trustworthy. There are people claiming to be Chinese/Korean that are making some brainless statements to make this quarrel more unreasonable. From a Chinese perspective, I want to explain some things. Every Chinese person around me thinks Kimchi is Korean. While we have our own paocai, it is also a generalizing word for fermented food/pickled food. Since Kimchi is a fermented food, the Chinese also call it paocai, but this doesn’t mean we are trying to claim the food. The whole argument started because the news media said that “international standards for the kimchi industry are led by China.” To be honest, I think this is just a translation error. We all know google translate is not accurate. I understand why this made some Korean’s upset, but I hope people understand that most Chinese people don't claim Kimchi as Chinese, and also we have similar fermented food in China as well such as 东北辣白菜. This looks very similar, but taste different and the process of making this dish is also different. The second part is traditional clothing. Hanfu is Chinese. Hanbok is Korean. They influenced each other in the past, but they have developed to the point where they are their style. I don’t want to get into the nitty-gritty, but it’s normal for the past traditional clothing to be similar where we may not be able to differentiate them ourselves like during the Ming dynasty clothing. No Chinese are claiming the Hanbok nowadays are Chinese. It’s just that some of the Hanbok in some older dynasty dramas represents Chinese Hanfu a little more than Hanbok (EX: Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo). So, people question whether those are Hanbok or Hanfu. I see how Koreans are upset because they see some Chinese (who knows are they really Chinese or are they pretending to make the Korean-Chinese relationship worse) claiming Korean culture. However, there are also Korean (again, don't know if they are really Koreans) claiming Chinese culture to be Korean, which made Chinese people upset. So, this argument goes both ways. I think we can all agree that starting war/having an extremely bad relationship with a neighboring country will not benefit either side. I don’t think the Chinese government is dumb enough to cause conflict with other countries when they want to become more powerful. So, who will this benefit? Who is trying to cause conflict between China and Korea? Think about this. After all both sides are just trying to preserve their own culture. I am not an expert on these topics, so I cannot comment much, but I think it’s dangerous to believe one-sided stories including media and history because many of us do not have a great understanding of BOTH cultures' history and approaching this situation with an unbiased perspective. I am open to other’s perspectives and discussions, but please keep its logical rather than just insulting each other’s culture. Please comment below if you have other questions on the other culture augments (Hamzy, Shining Nikki, Chinese dramas, etc) that is going on. I will provide the Chinese perspective. I don’t ask much, but just to let more people understand this Chinese perspective. Thank you!

As a Korean, I was wondering if many Chinese think Hanbok and Kimchi are Chinese. After reading your writing, I found out that it was not like that and that I was very angry without realizing it. I love the culture of Korea and at the same time I acknowledge the culture of China. I don't want the Chinese government to make this claim anymore... Thank you😊

@@USER-DaNu I completely understand. There was claims in the Chinese media where Koreans (again, not sure if they are really Koreans or people pretending) said that China was under the influence of Korea since the ancient times, so Hanfu is apart of Hanbok. And when I read that, I got really angry as well. So, I understand where that anger came from. While I think Korean culture is beautiful, I and many Chinese are proud of our own just like you are proud of Korean culture regardless of the events that happened in history. So, I just really want to emphasize that NO Chinese are trying to take Korean culture. It’s just the similarities are causing people to question whether some of the culture is more Chinese or Korean. I am really tried of people saying “Chinese people are claiming ...” when it’s just media spreading biased news about China to cause culture conflict because of the similarities between ancient China and Korea.I’m not sure if the Chinese government is actually trying to make these claims, but it wouldn’t benefit them in anyway since everyone including the Chinese know that Korean culture includes Hanbok and Kimchi. It will just make the Chinese government sound stupid and bring more hate. A lot of news like BBC, CNN, and more like to spread propaganda about China, and I think this is another form where people are trying to make China’s reputation worst.

I agree. Saying hanfu is hanbok and kimchi is paocai are completely brainless statements. Many koreans and chinese people acknowledge this. However, the problem is that the chinese government is making these claims. They literally put out a statement on their ministry of foreign relations website that because of the chao xian (ethnic korean) population in China, korean culture is chinese culture. Yes, the ethnic koreans living in china are koreans. While they have slightly different traditions, it is undeniable that they are korean. The reason many people are upset is because this is misleading. Chinese and korean culture evolved on their own, with influence coming from both sides. They are most definitely different.
A lot of people say that koreans are narrow-minded and that we are not recognizing the Chao Xian people as koreans because of our xenophobia. I am not kidding. This is the argument many chinese netizens used to attack us for our criticism of the Olympic opening festival. Many koreans agree that Chao Xian are koreans. And chinese people don't recognize the ethnic groups in their own country as chinese people too. The government has continuously oppressed the ethnic minorities, such as uyghur and tibetan people. There is also racism towards these ethnic minorities.
I don't think it is hard to see why koreans are mad at this situation. We have faced ethnic cleansing, cultural genocide, etc. in our history numerous times. When others try to spread misinformation about us, of course, we will be angry.

After the Song Dynasty was occupied by Jurchen of Qin in the 12th century, a culture of northern immigration flowed into China.
Without knowing this historical trend, the Chinese claim that the Ming Dynasty's Hanfu was created in the form of the Tang and Song dynasties.
In Chinese dramas these days, many people wear 19th-century Joseon hats and Gat. However, the Ming Dynasty collapsed in the 17th century, and Ming's clothes were different from Joseon's. Even Chinese court ladies appear with the same hairstyle as Joseon court ladies. The Chinese used the same Korean drama scenario as ctrl +v.
There is also a Chinese Ming drama in which the police outfit of the Joseon Dynasty was copied by ctrl + v.
Only a few years ago, a Joseon Dynasty 'officer costume' appeared at a Chinese Hanfu fashion show. The Wang Jin of the Ming Dynasty was a net-shaped hat, unlike the horse-tailed mangeon hair band of the Joseon Dynasty. These days, however, more and more Chinese people are wearing Joseon's hat in various media. The Chinese should live honestly. Can't Chinese people live without lying?

In ancient Korea name "朝鮮chaoxian" (one of ancient Chinese city), . "white-clothed ethnic 白衣民族" (Today Korean ancestors) wearing this fully chest exposed Korean dress (hanbok) is an "honor" for many Korean women - because she has a son! If the woman does not have a son or has daughters, she is not eligible to wear this kind of dew suit - only a korean woman who has a son is eligible to show her chest. So instead of feeling ashamed, these korean women in dew clothes have the feeling of "I'm proud of having a son! I want the world to know!" The meaning of. At that time, when there was no scientific contraceptive measures, the vast majority of Korean women would eventually give birth to a son, so the vast majority of Korean women could finally wear "proud" dew clothes. So this dew suit is the real traditional dress in Korea!
Deliberately shirtless is a Korean tradition (hanbok), even in 2014. When the Pope visited South19 Korea, they also set up a "deliberately shirtless" statue to commemorate their tradition!
      * "white-clothed ethnic 白衣民族" in history = the ancestors of the Korean .

Hanbok is believed to come from the Scythian civilization, the first nomadic on horseback, not from China, and records of wearing jeogori and pants from the ancient Korean period of Gojoseon can also be found. can. Skatai: A word that informs the first equestrian nomads who were active in the southern Eurasian steppes from the 6th to the 3rd century BC and their cultural style. The evidence that Goguryeo is Korean territory is that the national designation of Goryeo was used by Goguryeo, and it is said that the national designation of Goryeo was used in earnest from the days of King Jangsu of Goguryeo. Also, the use of the national designation Goryeo by Goguryeo is recorded in detail in the Great Queen Gwanggaeto, and Goryeo was said to have named Goryeo as the meaning of inheriting Goguryeo at the time of its founding. The fact that Goguryeo used the national designation of Goryeo is accurately recorded in the Samguksagi Goguryeo Bongi.

South Korea's attempt to apply for Chinese characters as a world heritage site was rejected. The ancient Koreans use Chinese, but it's a pity that Koreans can't understand their ancient characters from now on
It's funny that Koreans use TV dramas to prove traditional Korean clothing, while Chinese use museums' antiques to prove it.
All the emperors in Chinese history are buried in China, and their tombs are still well preserved with many cultural relics inside.
