We have metros, RRTS(160kmph) and bullet train work is alo under construction. day by day we are building infrasture in railwyas, we have one of the world highest railway bridge(chenab), we have build many tunnels in kadshmir and successfully run trains in kashmir , while pakistan doesnt have any lines in POK
Yes but high speed train are unaffordable for majority of the Indian. We need semi high speed train with upgraded track and signeling system which can maintain average speed of 120 km to 160.@@pipipupu5104

The reason behind that change was due to some reason which you maybe don't know unless you want to read the next part of the comment. The transfer from diesel to electrification needs whole new system was much money and when pr was bringing it was a time when pr was totally in shambles and also country where the money was not there and they started it at a wrong time without proper planning of futuristic goals to implement fully and arrange funds like a decade project, it was like half hearted effort without the will to go with it with strength and proper arrangements or funds and planning. So wrong Time They blamed it on line theft Which was a secondry issue the real was they didn't want to invest in PR after investing in road networks where their own cement sarya metal and bajri was selling at high demand they were not thinking of betterment of national asset of pr but their own pockets and in that there were powerful lobbies behind it among politician and those who control them as their own system like n l c was there and th y needed to fail pr to bring that freight business away from pr a major way to earn in PR and to their own trucking business there I hope I have cleared some of the on ground reality. Last when ex pk pm benazir was assassinated it was the time when or was worst hit by mobs even stations and bank were looted trains burnt and In Sindh province Which share almost 500 plus km of pr main ml 1 line were badly damaged which was never fully recovered. Though they fixed it from time to time but that system's real strength never came back.
Very nice video. Hopefully there will be a revival of Pakistan’s railway infrastructure. I watch lots of videos of train journeys in Pakistan and some of the stations seem stuck in time. There is a charm about them that’s missing in Indian railway stations but that charm is also an evidence of the lack of investment in railways. Good luck to Pakistan Railwaus.
10:32 good to see someone from Pakistan appreciating the the Indus civilization idol and tablets. This gels well with the overall video script, which tells the complete story of the undivided India. As an Indian both these things make me happy. But, seeing this comment section full of Indian comments and not a single one from Pakistan, is a big hint why Pakistan and its railway is in the state it is now, people there have no interest in their own past when it's told in a literary and truely historical fashion.

Initially, the britishers introduced the railways in India not to unite the regions of Subcontinent & people but to ease & to fasten the process of transportation of Cheap Goods, ornaments,Raw Materials from the Manufactured Cities to Ports to Send them to Britain & Other Parts of the world(via sea routes) flourishing the markets all over the world. The travelling of people using Railways was just incidential,but yet it benefitted us the most, where the Idea of Independent & resistance towards Foreigners had grown & ignited & ultimately resulted in our freedom in 1947.
I am a resident of Thane who travels 36km daily to Bori Bunder for my job and now Bori Bunder is known as Chhatarpati Shivji Maharaj Terminal aka CSMT. And my great grandfather lived near Karachi Cantonment. And his father was in Railways. Before he died, he used to tell me that he wanted to travel in the same train in which he used to travel in his childhood. His grandmother(Naani) was from near Quetta. Whom he used to go from Karachi to Quetta to meet. He used to tell us that he fondly remembers the train journey through those rivers and caves. we wish we could fulfill his wish. My grandfather, father and I are very sad about this even today.

My great grandfather was the station master in the Jhang - Maghiana Junction. Lost his life to the riots of 1947 (rest of our family made it to India safely though). Truth is that the railways in Pakistan was maintained by hardworking and intelligent Hindus and Sikhs. However with partition both migrated to India and the Pak Railways became defunct
Rich heritage and history but not maintained sad to see how slowly it is getting decay. Landi kotal can be a great adventure tourism hub if government of Pakistan invest in it and make a tourist place and its railway track itself is an art of adventure. Indian Railways konkan section is an Marvel of engineering same as this. Darjeeling Railway is still an never ending era of adventure and fun ride.

The reason behind that change was due to some reason which you maybe don't know unless you want to read the next part of the comment.
The transfer from diesel to electrification needs whole new system was much money and when pr was bringing it was a time when pr was totally in shambles and also country where the money was not there and they started it at a wrong time without proper planning of futuristic goals to implement fully and arrange funds like a decade project, it was like half hearted effort without the will to go with it with strength and proper arrangements or funds and planning. So wrong Time
They blamed it on line theft Which was a secondry issue the real was they didn't want to invest in PR after investing in road networks where their own cement sarya metal and bajri was selling at high demand they were not thinking of betterment of national asset of pr but their own pockets and in that there were powerful lobbies behind it among politician and those who control them as their own system like n l c was there and th y needed to fail pr to bring that freight business away from pr a major way to earn in PR and to their own trucking business there I hope I have cleared some of the on ground reality.
Last when ex pk pm benazir was assassinated it was the time when or was worst hit by mobs even stations and bank were looted trains burnt and In Sindh province Which share almost 500 plus km of pr main ml 1 line were badly damaged which was never fully recovered. Though they fixed it from time to time but that system's real strength never came back.

Very nice video. Hopefully there will be a revival of Pakistan’s railway infrastructure. I watch lots of videos of train journeys in Pakistan and some of the stations seem stuck in time. There is a charm about them that’s missing in Indian railway stations but that charm is also an evidence of the lack of investment in railways. Good luck to Pakistan Railwaus.

As an Indian both these things make me happy. But, seeing this comment section full of Indian comments and not a single one from Pakistan, is a big hint why Pakistan and its railway is in the state it is now, people there have no interest in their own past when it's told in a literary and truely historical fashion.

Initially, the britishers introduced the railways in India not to unite the regions of Subcontinent & people but to ease & to fasten the process of transportation of Cheap Goods, ornaments,Raw Materials from the Manufactured Cities to Ports to Send them to Britain & Other Parts of the world(via sea routes) flourishing the markets all over the world. The travelling of people using Railways was just incidential,but yet it benefitted us the most, where the Idea of Independent & resistance towards Foreigners had grown & ignited & ultimately resulted in our freedom in 1947.

I am a resident of Thane who travels 36km daily to Bori Bunder for my job and now Bori Bunder is known as Chhatarpati Shivji Maharaj Terminal aka CSMT. And my great grandfather lived near Karachi Cantonment. And his father was in Railways. Before he died, he used to tell me that he wanted to travel in the same train in which he used to travel in his childhood. His grandmother(Naani) was from near Quetta. Whom he used to go from Karachi to Quetta to meet. He used to tell us that he fondly remembers the train journey through those rivers and caves. we wish we could fulfill his wish. My grandfather, father and I are very sad about this even today.

Rich heritage and history but not maintained sad to see how slowly it is getting decay. Landi kotal can be a great adventure tourism hub if government of Pakistan invest in it and make a tourist place and its railway track itself is an art of adventure. Indian Railways konkan section is an Marvel of engineering same as this. Darjeeling Railway is still an never ending era of adventure and fun ride.
