Several mass killing events including the Katyn massacre.
Widespread rapes and arbitrary arrests of Polish citizens, with over half a million Poles sent to prison within the first two years.
Between 300.000 and 1.000.000 Polish people forcefully deported to Siberia.

Also thinks it's illegal to talk about collaboration with the Nazis in Poland, which is simply not true. Every single one of us accepts that there was collaboration on an individual level, there are bad people everywhere but it is consider a defamation to say that Polish state collaborated with Nazis with their final solution. Also very unliked phrase "polish death camps" is considered such defamation as Poles didn't have anything to do with setting them up and their operations.
This law while controversial because it might be considered a barrier to open discussion is still aimed to prevent open statements about institutionalized collaboration as there were many instances when people from the west who were more or less ignorant thought that Poles were responsible for holocaust.

Those agreements weren't based on common ideologies. When in one aera there're around 3 armies + various militia forces it's normal cooperate with one side for a battle or two

This. Went to latvia, met an old woman which was very happy to hear people speak German. My grandfather was also born there, he told me a lot about this time. Essentially in the beginning a lot of people hoped for a chance of getting rid of the reds who fucked over their country but where quickly desillusioned by seeing that they just swapped pest for cholera. Getting the reds back (and beeing punished for 'collaborating') made them remembering the German occupation in a slightly better light. But in the end there probably wasnt too much of a difference in how they regarded the value of a human life in comparison to their 'greater goals'. Also about antisemitism: half of the fucking world was super antisemitic for modern Standards (and probably would be still if it wasnt for the Holocaust). Hitler himself had a faaar greater hate for jews then 'normal' antisemitics - probably got that in the 20s when he was still in Austria - and a terrifiying thought about it is the following: Hitler probably would have succeded with his plans, if it wasnt for his extreme and genocidal hatred for jews. A quote from Churchill (about Hitler): Antisemitism is a good starter but a bad sticker.

@@Fulloffcoce also, it's quite straightforward, in Baltics Nazis are a "ww2 history", meanwhile Soviets occupied up until 90's. So most people lived through it. That on itself makes it more of a sore spot (duh?).
Anyway, outside of that, we learn a lot in regular school history lessons about your usual stuff, then about Nazi collaborators and such. No one is sweeping anything under the rug, historical figures that had collaborated with Nazis had been removed from the streets etc. Outside of actual neo nazis, there is absolutely no sympathy for nazism in regular population. As someone whose family grew up in a Russian regime, thank you for the work you're doing. That being said, I just think it's pointless arguing with these people, tankies are pretty much a cult at this point, I was in a group that was taken over by them and they were discussing stuff like whether children of the rich should be ex*cuted too when the revolution comes. Something has to fundamentally change in their life for them to get better.

    • @angelikaskoroszyn8495

I can understand the idea of killing royal babies because, no matter how horrid the idea is, this is the best way of definitely ending monarchy. The idea of monarchy is that certain families are inherently predisposed to be rulers. So no matter how you raise a royal baby they'll always be royal in the eyes of monarchists. When it comes to weathy people there's no such belief. Apparently everyone can become rich or poor depending on their hard work, good choices and not eating avocado toasts. There're no bourgeoisie supporters who would give millions of dollars to a random guy because their parents were once rich
So even in the context a of very bloody revolution there's no reason to kill children of wealthy people. And I really want to believe that (at least in Europe) there's no need for killing royals in order to end their reign

@@angelikaskoroszyn8495 It's a slippery slope because even if you look at it from a objective outlook and leave morality out of it, it's not just going to be a few royal babies you have to kill. For countries that have existed for hundreds of years, there are many, many people with ties to nobility and royalty, you have to slaughter a swathe of the population of you wanted to be thorough and even then, no monarchist is just going to give up because you killed every royal, they're attached to the idea of monarchy, not one person in particular. They'll easily produce a pretender and use the brutal nobility genocide as a way to discredit your cause and galvanize people against your anti-monarchy ideals. Just look at what happened to Haiti, on one you could argue they're killing of the White French elite on the island was justified due to that population's strong resistance to the slave revolution, but killing them just tarnished the revolution in the eyes of everyone else and made the former slaves the bad guys. If they had played the Spanish and French against each other, they could have negotiated a better deal or been under the protection of the Spanish.

Prime Ministers are selected by the parliament, it's not something you directly vote on, instead you vote for your local member of parliament. At the Nuremberg Tribunal, OUN was also mentioned and they were not recognized as criminal organizations.
Bandera did not swear allegiance to Hitler. Germany sent Bandera to a concentration camp for proclaiming a Ukrainian state, and his brothers were tortured in Auschwitz.
The goal of OUN was to create a Ukrainian state. OUN is a national liberation movement, which at that time was forced to cooperate with the Germans against Poland and the USSR until Germany began to shoot members of the organization for proclaiming a Ukrainian state.

For example: At the start of the 2014 conflict, protests against separatism were held in cities like Donetsk, Luhansk, and Mariupol.; 1990s Donbas miners' strikes with ukrainian flags; before 2014, many political leaders from Donbas were part of Ukrainian national parties, supporting the idea of the region remaining within Ukraine.

I once saw video about that camp and only real thing that I heard was:
"We will return Crimea and Kuban" nothing else, no "Heil Shmitler" no "Hail Jewish Zelensky"

Who is this guy? He has been multiple debates and is insufferable every time.

Holy shit, I kind of assumed he wasn't going to get dumber than that and then he unironically "You ran as a peace candidate, and yet you got invaded. Curious"ed. Does a fetus count as a person? I don't know, but this thing definitely does not. Flush it.

Love how the guy enters the "debate" with the words "I kicked your ass", and then gets his ass kicked :D

Extreme patience shown there. Man that was wild. He did have a pretty good knowledge of certain areas of history, basically a lot of data stuffed away in that noggin of his. It was his interpretations/conclusions that were so wrong/badly put together.
